10:68
قَالُ وا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَٰنَ هُۥ هُوَ ٱلْ غَنِىُّ لَ هُۥ مَا فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ مَا فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ إِنْ عِندَ كُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍۭ بِ هَٰذَآ أَ تَقُولُ ونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُ ونَ
They have said, "Allah has taken a son." Exalted is He; He is the [one] Free of need. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no authority for this [claim]. Do you say about Allah that which you do not know?
11:92
قَالَ يَٰ قَوْمِ أَ رَهْطِ ىٓ أَعَزُّ عَلَيْ كُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱتَّخَذْ تُمُو هُ وَرَآءَ كُمْ ظِهْرِيًّا إِنَّ رَبِّ ى بِ مَا تَعْمَلُ ونَ مُحِيطٌ
He said, "O my people, is my family more respected for power by you than Allah? But you put Him behind your backs [in neglect]. Indeed, my Lord is encompassing of what you do.
12:21
وَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِى ٱشْتَرَىٰ هُ مِن مِّصْرَ لِ ٱمْرَأَتِ هِۦٓ أَكْرِمِ ى مَثْوَىٰ هُ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَنفَعَ نَآ أَوْ نَتَّخِذَ هُۥ وَلَدًا وَ كَ ذَٰلِكَ مَكَّ نَّا لِ يُوسُفَ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ لِ نُعَلِّمَ هُۥ مِن تَأْوِيلِ ٱلْ أَحَادِيثِ وَ ٱللَّهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرِ هِۦ وَ لَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱل نَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُ ونَ
And the one from Egypt who bought him said to his wife, "Make his residence comfortable. Perhaps he will benefit us, or we will adopt him as a son." And thus, We established Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of events. And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know.
13:16
قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ قُلْ أَ فَ ٱتَّخَذْ تُم مِّن دُونِ هِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ لَا يَمْلِكُ ونَ لِ أَنفُسِ هِمْ نَفْعًا وَ لَا ضَرًّا قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلْ أَعْمَىٰ وَ ٱلْ بَصِيرُ أَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِى ٱل ظُّلُمَٰتُ وَ ٱل نُّورُ أَمْ جَعَلُ وا۟ لِ لَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ خَلَقُ وا۟ كَ خَلْقِ هِۦ فَ تَشَٰبَهَ ٱلْ خَلْقُ عَلَيْ هِمْ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَ هُوَ ٱلْ وَٰحِدُ ٱلْ قَهَّٰرُ
Say, "Who is Lord of the heavens and earth?" Say, "Allah." Say, "Have you then taken besides Him allies not possessing [even] for themselves any benefit or any harm?" Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Or is darkness equivalent to light? Or have they attributed to Allah partners who created like His creation so that the creation [of each] seemed similar to them?" Say, "Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Prevailing."
16:51
وَ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وٓا۟ إِلَٰهَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ إِنَّ مَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ فَ إِيَّٰىَ فَ ٱرْهَبُ و نِ
And Allah has said, "Do not take for yourselves two deities. He is but one God, so fear only Me."
16:67
وَ مِن ثَمَرَٰتِ ٱل نَّخِيلِ وَ ٱلْ أَعْنَٰبِ تَتَّخِذُ ونَ مِنْ هُ سَكَرًا وَ رِزْقًا حَسَنًا إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَ ءَايَةً لِّ قَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُ ونَ
And from the fruits of the palm trees and grapevines you take intoxicant and good provision. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who reason.
16:68
وَ أَوْحَىٰ رَبُّ كَ إِلَى ٱل نَّحْلِ أَنِ ٱتَّخِذِ ى مِنَ ٱلْ جِبَالِ بُيُوتًا وَ مِنَ ٱل شَّجَرِ وَ مِ مَّا يَعْرِشُ ونَ
And your Lord inspired to the bee, "Take for yourself among the mountains, houses, and among the trees and [in] that which they construct.
16:92
وَ لَا تَكُونُ وا۟ كَ ٱلَّتِى نَقَضَتْ غَزْلَ هَا مِنۢ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ أَنكَٰثًا تَتَّخِذُ ونَ أَيْمَٰنَ كُمْ دَخَلًۢا بَيْنَ كُمْ أَن تَكُونَ أُمَّةٌ هِىَ أَرْبَىٰ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ إِنَّ مَا يَبْلُو كُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِ هِۦ وَ لَ يُبَيِّنَ نَّ لَ كُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ مَا كُن تُمْ فِي هِ تَخْتَلِفُ ونَ
And do not be like she who untwisted her spun thread after it was strong [by] taking your oaths as [means of] deceit between you because one community is more plentiful [in number or wealth] than another community. Allah only tries you thereby. And He will surely make clear to you on the Day of Resurrection that over which you used to differ.
16:94
وَ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَ كُمْ دَخَلًۢا بَيْنَ كُمْ فَ تَزِلَّ قَدَمٌۢ بَعْدَ ثُبُوتِ هَا وَ تَذُوقُ وا۟ ٱل سُّوٓءَ بِ مَا صَدَد تُّمْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَ لَ كُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
And do not take your oaths as [means of] deceit between you, lest a foot slip after it was [once] firm, and you would taste evil [in this world] for what [people] you diverted from the way of Allah, and you would have [in the Hereafter] a great punishment.
17:111
وَ قُلِ ٱلْ حَمْدُ لِ لَّهِ ٱلَّذِى لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَ لَمْ يَكُن لَّ هُۥ شَرِيكٌ فِى ٱلْ مُلْكِ وَ لَمْ يَكُن لَّ هُۥ وَلِىٌّ مِّنَ ٱل ذُّلِّ وَ كَبِّرْ هُ تَكْبِيرًۢا
And say, "Praise to Allah, who has not taken a son and has had no partner in [His] dominion and has no [need of a] protector out of weakness; and glorify Him with [great] glorification."
17:2
وَ ءَاتَيْ نَا مُوسَى ٱلْ كِتَٰبَ وَ جَعَلْ نَٰ هُ هُدًى لِّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَ لَّا تَتَّخِذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ ى وَكِيلًا
And We gave Moses the Scripture and made it a guidance for the Children of Israel that you not take other than Me as Disposer of affairs,
17:40
أَ فَ أَصْفَىٰ كُمْ رَبُّ كُم بِ ٱلْ بَنِينَ وَ ٱتَّخَذَ مِنَ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنَٰثًا إِنَّ كُمْ لَ تَقُولُ ونَ قَوْلًا عَظِيمًا
Then, has your Lord chosen you for [having] sons and taken from among the angels daughters? Indeed, you say a grave saying.
17:73
وَ إِن كَادُ وا۟ لَ يَفْتِنُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْ نَآ إِلَيْ كَ لِ تَفْتَرِىَ عَلَيْ نَا غَيْرَ هُۥ وَ إِذًا لَّ ٱتَّخَذُ و كَ خَلِيلًا
And indeed, they were about to tempt you away from that which We revealed to you in order to [make] you invent about Us something else; and then they would have taken you as a friend.
18:102
أَ فَ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُ وٓا۟ أَن يَتَّخِذُ وا۟ عِبَادِ ى مِن دُونِ ىٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ إِنَّ آ أَعْتَدْ نَا جَهَنَّمَ لِ لْ كَٰفِرِينَ نُزُلًا
Then do those who disbelieve think that they can take My servants instead of Me as allies? Indeed, We have prepared Hell for the disbelievers as a lodging.
18:106
ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآؤُ هُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِ مَا كَفَرُ وا۟ وَ ٱتَّخَذُ وٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِ ى وَ رُسُلِ ى هُزُوًا
That is their recompense - Hell - for what they denied and [because] they took My signs and My messengers in ridicule.
18:15
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمُ نَا ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ هِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً لَّوْلَا يَأْتُ ونَ عَلَيْ هِم بِ سُلْطَٰنٍۭ بَيِّنٍ فَ مَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِ مَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا
These, our people, have taken besides Him deities. Why do they not bring for [worship of] them a clear authority? And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie?"
18:21
وَ كَ ذَٰلِكَ أَعْثَرْ نَا عَلَيْ هِمْ لِ يَعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَ أَنَّ ٱل سَّاعَةَ لَا رَيْبَ فِي هَآ إِذْ يَتَنَٰزَعُ ونَ بَيْنَ هُمْ أَمْرَ هُمْ فَ قَالُ وا۟ ٱبْنُ وا۟ عَلَيْ هِم بُنْيَٰنًا رَّبُّ هُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِ هِمْ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ غَلَبُ وا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرِ هِمْ لَ نَتَّخِذَ نَّ عَلَيْ هِم مَّسْجِدًا
And similarly, We caused them to be found that they [who found them] would know that the promise of Allah is truth and that of the Hour there is no doubt. [That was] when they disputed among themselves about their affair and [then] said, "Construct over them a structure. Their Lord is most knowing about them." Said those who prevailed in the matter, "We will surely take [for ourselves] over them a masjid."
18:4
وَ يُنذِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُ وا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًا
And to warn those who say, "Allah has taken a son."
18:50
وَ إِذْ قُلْ نَا لِ لْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُ وا۟ لِ ءَادَمَ فَ سَجَدُ وٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْ جِنِّ فَ فَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّ هِۦٓ أَ فَ تَتَّخِذُ ونَ هُۥ وَ ذُرِّيَّتَ هُۥٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ى وَ هُمْ لَ كُمْ عَدُوٌّۢ بِئْسَ لِ ل ظَّٰلِمِينَ بَدَلًا
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was of the jinn and departed from the command of his Lord. Then will you take him and his descendants as allies other than Me while they are enemies to you? Wretched it is for the wrongdoers as an exchange.
18:51
مَّآ أَشْهَد تُّ هُمْ خَلْقَ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ لَا خَلْقَ أَنفُسِ هِمْ وَ مَا كُن تُ مُتَّخِذَ ٱلْ مُضِلِّينَ عَضُدًا
I did not make them witness to the creation of the heavens and the earth or to the creation of themselves, and I would not have taken the misguiders as assistants.
18:56
وَ مَا نُرْسِلُ ٱلْ مُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَ مُنذِرِينَ وَ يُجَٰدِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُ وا۟ بِ ٱلْ بَٰطِلِ لِ يُدْحِضُ وا۟ بِ هِ ٱلْ حَقَّ وَ ٱتَّخَذُ وٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِ ى وَ مَآ أُنذِرُ وا۟ هُزُوًا
And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. And those who disbelieve dispute by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate thereby the truth and have taken My verses, and that of which they are warned, in ridicule.
18:61
فَ لَمَّا بَلَغَ ا مَجْمَعَ بَيْنِ هِمَا نَسِيَ ا حُوتَ هُمَا فَ ٱتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَ هُۥ فِى ٱلْ بَحْرِ سَرَبًا
But when they reached the junction between them, they forgot their fish, and it took its course into the sea, slipping away.
18:63
قَالَ أَ رَءَيْ تَ إِذْ أَوَيْ نَآ إِلَى ٱل صَّخْرَةِ فَ إِنِّ ى نَسِي تُ ٱلْ حُوتَ وَ مَآ أَنسَىٰ نِي هُ إِلَّا ٱل شَّيْطَٰنُ أَنْ أَذْكُرَ هُۥ وَ ٱتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَ هُۥ فِى ٱلْ بَحْرِ عَجَبًا
He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan - that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly".
18:77
فَ ٱنطَلَقَ ا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَيَ آ أَهْلَ قَرْيَةٍ ٱسْتَطْعَمَ آ أَهْلَ هَا فَ أَبَ وْا۟ أَن يُضَيِّفُ و هُمَا فَ وَجَدَ ا فِي هَا جِدَارًا يُرِيدُ أَن يَنقَضَّ فَ أَقَامَ هُۥ قَالَ لَوْ شِئْ تَ لَ تَّخَذْ تَ عَلَيْ هِ أَجْرًا
So they set out, until when they came to the people of a town, they asked its people for food, but they refused to offer them hospitality. And they found therein a wall about to collapse, so al-Khidh r restored it. [Moses] said, "If you wished, you could have taken for it a payment."
18:86
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ ٱل شَّمْسِ وَجَدَ هَا تَغْرُبُ فِى عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَ وَجَدَ عِندَ هَا قَوْمًا قُلْ نَا يَٰ ذَا ٱلْ قَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّآ أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَ إِمَّآ أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِي هِمْ حُسْنًا
Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness."
19:17
فَ ٱتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِ هِمْ حِجَابًا فَ أَرْسَلْ نَآ إِلَيْ هَا رُوحَ نَا فَ تَمَثَّلَ لَ هَا بَشَرًا سَوِيًّا
And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.
19:35
مَا كَانَ لِ لَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٍ سُبْحَٰنَ هُۥٓ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًا فَ إِنَّ مَا يَقُولُ لَ هُۥ كُن فَ يَكُونُ
It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is.
19:78
أَ طَّلَعَ ٱلْ غَيْبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًا
Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise?
19:81
وَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لِّ يَكُونُ وا۟ لَ هُمْ عِزًّا
And they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor.
19:87
لَّا يَمْلِكُ ونَ ٱل شَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنِ عَهْدًا
None will have [power of] intercession except he who had taken from the Most Merciful a covenant.
19:88
وَ قَالُ وا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنُ وَلَدًا
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son."
19:92
وَ مَا يَنۢبَغِى لِ ل رَّحْمَٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا
And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.
21:17
لَوْ أَرَدْ نَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّ ٱتَّخَذْ نَٰ هُ مِن لَّدُنَّ آ إِن كُ نَّا فَٰعِلِينَ
Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.
21:21
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُ وٓا۟ ءَالِهَةً مِّنَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ هُمْ يُنشِرُ ونَ
Or have men taken for themselves gods from the earth who resurrect [the dead]?
21:24
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ هِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً قُلْ هَاتُ وا۟ بُرْهَٰنَ كُمْ هَٰذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِ ىَ وَ ذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِ ى بَلْ أَكْثَرُ هُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُ ونَ ٱلْ حَقَّ فَ هُم مُّعْرِضُونَ
Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, [O Muhammad], "Produce your proof. This [Qur'an] is the message for those with me and the message of those before me." But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away.
21:26
وَ قَالُ وا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَٰنَ هُۥ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُونَ
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, they are [but] honored servants.
21:36
وَ إِذَا رَءَا كَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُ وٓا۟ إِن يَتَّخِذُ ونَ كَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى يَذْكُرُ ءَالِهَتَ كُمْ وَ هُم بِ ذِكْرِ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنِ هُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ
And when those who disbelieve see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one who insults your gods?" And they are, at the mention of the Most Merciful, disbelievers.
23:110
فَ ٱتَّخَذْ تُمُو هُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰٓ أَنسَ وْ كُمْ ذِكْرِ ى وَ كُن تُم مِّنْ هُمْ تَضْحَكُ ونَ
But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.
23:91
مَا ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِن وَلَدٍ وَ مَا كَانَ مَعَ هُۥ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِذًا لَّ ذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَٰهٍۭ بِ مَا خَلَقَ وَ لَ عَلَا بَعْضُ هُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَ مَّا يَصِفُ ونَ
Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him].
25:18
قَالُ وا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ كَ مَا كَانَ يَنۢبَغِى لَ نَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِ كَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَ لَٰكِن مَّتَّعْ تَ هُمْ وَ ءَابَآءَ هُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَسُ وا۟ ٱل ذِّكْرَ وَ كَانُ وا۟ قَوْمًۢا بُورًا
They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined."
25:2
ٱلَّذِى لَ هُۥ مُلْكُ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَ لَمْ يَكُن لَّ هُۥ شَرِيكٌ فِى ٱلْ مُلْكِ وَ خَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ فَ قَدَّرَ هُۥ تَقْدِيرًا
He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination.
25:27
وَ يَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱل ظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْ هِ يَقُولُ يَٰ لَيْتَ نِى ٱتَّخَذْ تُ مَعَ ٱل رَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا
And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.
25:28
يَٰ وَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَ نِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا
Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.
25:3
وَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ هِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُ ونَ شَيْـًٔا وَ هُمْ يُخْلَقُ ونَ وَ لَا يَمْلِكُ ونَ لِ أَنفُسِ هِمْ ضَرًّا وَ لَا نَفْعًا وَ لَا يَمْلِكُ ونَ مَوْتًا وَ لَا حَيَوٰةً وَ لَا نُشُورًا
But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.
25:30
وَ قَالَ ٱل رَّسُولُ يَٰ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِ ى ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ هَٰذَا ٱلْ قُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًا
And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned."
25:41
وَ إِذَا رَأَ وْ كَ إِن يَتَّخِذُ ونَ كَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولًا
And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?
25:43
أَ رَءَيْ تَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَ هُۥ هَوَىٰ هُ أَ فَ أَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْ هِ وَكِيلًا
Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?
25:57
قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ هِۦ سَبِيلًا
Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."
26:129
وَ تَتَّخِذُ ونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تَخْلُدُ ونَ
And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally?
26:29
قَالَ لَ ئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْ تَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِ ى لَ أَجْعَلَ نَّ كَ مِنَ ٱلْ مَسْجُونِينَ
[Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned."
28:9
وَ قَالَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُ فِرْعَوْنَ قُرَّتُ عَيْنٍ لِّ ى وَ لَ كَ لَا تَقْتُلُ و هُ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَنفَعَ نَآ أَوْ نَتَّخِذَ هُۥ وَلَدًا وَ هُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُ ونَ
And the wife of Pharaoh said, "[He will be] a comfort of the eye for me and for you. Do not kill him; perhaps he may benefit us, or we may adopt him as a son." And they perceived not.
29:25
وَ قَالَ إِنَّ مَا ٱتَّخَذْ تُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْثَٰنًا مَّوَدَّةَ بَيْنِ كُمْ فِى ٱلْ حَيَوٰةِ ٱل دُّنْيَا ثُمَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ يَكْفُرُ بَعْضُ كُم بِ بَعْضٍ وَ يَلْعَنُ بَعْضُ كُم بَعْضًا وَ مَأْوَىٰ كُمُ ٱل نَّارُ وَ مَا لَ كُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ
And [Abraham] said, "You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any helpers."
29:41
مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْلِيَآءَ كَ مَثَلِ ٱلْ عَنكَبُوتِ ٱتَّخَذَتْ بَيْتًا وَ إِنَّ أَوْهَنَ ٱلْ بُيُوتِ لَ بَيْتُ ٱلْ عَنكَبُوتِ لَوْ كَانُ وا۟ يَعْلَمُ ونَ
The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.
2:116
وَ قَالُ وا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَٰنَ هُۥ بَل لَّ هُۥ مَا فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ كُلٌّ لَّ هُۥ قَٰنِتُونَ
They say, "Allah has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. All are devoutly obedient to Him,
2:125
وَ إِذْ جَعَلْ نَا ٱلْ بَيْتَ مَثَابَةً لِّ ل نَّاسِ وَ أَمْنًا وَ ٱتَّخِذُ وا۟ مِن مَّقَامِ إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ مُصَلًّى وَ عَهِدْ نَآ إِلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ وَ إِسْمَٰعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَ ا بَيْتِ ىَ لِ ل طَّآئِفِينَ وَ ٱلْ عَٰكِفِينَ وَ ٱل رُّكَّعِ ٱل سُّجُودِ
And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for the people and [a place of] security. And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Abraham a place of prayer. And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], "Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in prayer]."
2:165
وَ مِنَ ٱل نَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَندَادًا يُحِبُّ ونَ هُمْ كَ حُبِّ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وٓا۟ أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّ لَّهِ وَ لَوْ يَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُ وٓا۟ إِذْ يَرَ وْنَ ٱلْ عَذَابَ أَنَّ ٱلْ قُوَّةَ لِ لَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْ عَذَابِ
And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah. But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment.
2:231
وَ إِذَا طَلَّقْ تُمُ ٱل نِّسَآءَ فَ بَلَغْ نَ أَجَلَ هُنَّ فَ أَمْسِكُ و هُنَّ بِ مَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ سَرِّحُ و هُنَّ بِ مَعْرُوفٍ وَ لَا تُمْسِكُ و هُنَّ ضِرَارًا لِّ تَعْتَدُ وا۟ وَ مَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَ قَدْ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَ هُۥ وَ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَ ٱذْكُرُ وا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ مَآ أَنزَلَ عَلَيْ كُم مِّنَ ٱلْ كِتَٰبِ وَ ٱلْ حِكْمَةِ يَعِظُ كُم بِ هِۦ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
And when you divorce women and they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or release them according to acceptable terms, and do not keep them, intending harm, to transgress [against them]. And whoever does that has certainly wronged himself. And do not take the verses of Allah in jest. And remember the favor of Allah upon you and what has been revealed to you of the Book and wisdom by which He instructs you. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Knowing of all things.
2:51
وَ إِذْ وَٰعَدْ نَا مُوسَىٰٓ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذْ تُمُ ٱلْ عِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ هِۦ وَ أَنتُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ
And [recall] when We made an appointment with Moses for forty nights. Then you took [for worship] the calf after him, while you were wrongdoers.
2:54
وَ إِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِ قَوْمِ هِۦ يَٰ قَوْمِ إِنَّ كُمْ ظَلَمْ تُمْ أَنفُسَ كُم بِ ٱتِّخَاذِ كُمُ ٱلْ عِجْلَ فَ تُوبُ وٓا۟ إِلَىٰ بَارِئِ كُمْ فَ ٱقْتُلُ وٓا۟ أَنفُسَ كُمْ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّ كُمْ عِندَ بَارِئِ كُمْ فَ تَابَ عَلَيْ كُمْ إِنَّ هُۥ هُوَ ٱل تَّوَّابُ ٱل رَّحِيمُ
And [recall] when Moses said to his people, "O my people, indeed you have wronged yourselves by your taking of the calf [for worship]. So repent to your Creator and kill yourselves. That is best for [all of] you in the sight of your Creator." Then He accepted your repentance; indeed, He is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
2:67
وَ إِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِ قَوْمِ هِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ كُمْ أَن تَذْبَحُ وا۟ بَقَرَةً قَالُ وٓا۟ أَ تَتَّخِذُ نَا هُزُوًا قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِ ٱللَّهِ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْ جَٰهِلِينَ
And [recall] when Moses said to his people, "Indeed, Allah commands you to slaughter a cow." They said, "Do you take us in ridicule?" He said, "I seek refuge in Allah from being among the ignorant."
2:80
وَ قَالُ وا۟ لَن تَمَسَّ نَا ٱل نَّارُ إِلَّآ أَيَّامًا مَّعْدُودَةً قُلْ أَ تَّخَذْ تُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَهْدًا فَ لَن يُخْلِفَ ٱللَّهُ عَهْدَ هُۥٓ أَمْ تَقُولُ ونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُ ونَ
And they say, "Never will the Fire touch us, except for a few days." Say, "Have you taken a covenant with Allah? For Allah will never break His covenant. Or do you say about Allah that which you do not know?"
2:92
وَ لَ قَدْ جَآءَ كُم مُّوسَىٰ بِ ٱلْ بَيِّنَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذْ تُمُ ٱلْ عِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ هِۦ وَ أَنتُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ
And Moses had certainly brought you clear proofs. Then you took the calf [in worship] after that, while you were wrongdoers.
31:6
وَ مِنَ ٱل نَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِى لَهْوَ ٱلْ حَدِيثِ لِ يُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِ غَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَ يَتَّخِذَ هَا هُزُوًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَ هُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ
And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.
35:6
إِنَّ ٱل شَّيْطَٰنَ لَ كُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَ ٱتَّخِذُ و هُ عَدُوًّا إِنَّ مَا يَدْعُوا۟ حِزْبَ هُۥ لِ يَكُونُ وا۟ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱل سَّعِيرِ
Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.
36:23
ءَ أَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ هِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً إِن يُرِدْ نِ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنُ بِ ضُرٍّ لَّا تُغْنِ عَنِّ ى شَفَٰعَتُ هُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَ لَا يُنقِذُ و نِ
Should I take other than Him [false] deities [while], if the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me?
36:74
وَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لَّعَلَّ هُمْ يُنصَرُ ونَ
But they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped.
38:63
أَ تَّخَذْ نَٰ هُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْ هُمُ ٱلْ أَبْصَٰرُ
Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?"
39:3
أَلَا لِ لَّهِ ٱل دِّينُ ٱلْ خَالِصُ وَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ هِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مَا نَعْبُدُ هُمْ إِلَّا لِ يُقَرِّبُ و نَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ زُلْفَىٰٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ هُمْ فِى مَا هُمْ فِي هِ يَخْتَلِفُ ونَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى مَنْ هُوَ كَٰذِبٌ كَفَّارٌ
Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position." Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever.
39:4
لَّوْ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا لَّ ٱصْطَفَىٰ مِ مَّا يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ سُبْحَٰنَ هُۥ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْ وَٰحِدُ ٱلْ قَهَّارُ
If Allah had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Exalted is He; He is Allah, the One, the Prevailing.
39:43
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ شُفَعَآءَ قُلْ أَ وَ لَوْ كَانُ وا۟ لَا يَمْلِكُ ونَ شَيْـًٔا وَ لَا يَعْقِلُ ونَ
Or have they taken other than Allah as intercessors? Say, "Even though they do not possess [power over] anything, nor do they reason?"
3:118
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وا۟ بِطَانَةً مِّن دُونِ كُمْ لَا يَأْلُ ونَ كُمْ خَبَالًا وَدُّ وا۟ مَا عَنِ تُّمْ قَدْ بَدَتِ ٱلْ بَغْضَآءُ مِنْ أَفْوَٰهِ هِمْ وَ مَا تُخْفِى صُدُورُ هُمْ أَكْبَرُ قَدْ بَيَّ نَّا لَ كُمُ ٱلْ ءَايَٰتِ إِن كُن تُمْ تَعْقِلُ ونَ
O you who have believed, do not take as intimates those other than yourselves, for they will not spare you [any] ruin. They wish you would have hardship. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater. We have certainly made clear to you the signs, if you will use reason.
3:140
إِن يَمْسَسْ كُمْ قَرْحٌ فَ قَدْ مَسَّ ٱلْ قَوْمَ قَرْحٌ مِّثْلُ هُۥ وَ تِلْكَ ٱلْ أَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُ هَا بَيْنَ ٱل نَّاسِ وَ لِ يَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ يَتَّخِذَ مِن كُمْ شُهَدَآءَ وَ ٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱل ظَّٰلِمِينَ
If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers -
3:28
لَّا يَتَّخِذِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلْ كَٰفِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَ مَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَ لَيْسَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ فِى شَىْءٍ إِلَّآ أَن تَتَّقُ وا۟ مِنْ هُمْ تُقَىٰةً وَ يُحَذِّرُ كُمُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسَ هُۥ وَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْ مَصِيرُ
Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah, except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination.
3:64
قُلْ يَٰٓ أَهْلَ ٱلْ كِتَٰبِ تَعَالَ وْا۟ إِلَىٰ كَلِمَةٍ سَوَآءٍۭ بَيْنَ نَا وَ بَيْنَ كُمْ أَ لَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ وَ لَا نُشْرِكَ بِ هِۦ شَيْـًٔا وَ لَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُ نَا بَعْضًا أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَ إِن تَوَلَّ وْا۟ فَ قُولُ وا۟ ٱشْهَدُ وا۟ بِ أَنَّ ا مُسْلِمُونَ
Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]."
3:80
وَ لَا يَأْمُرَ كُمْ أَن تَتَّخِذُ وا۟ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةَ وَ ٱل نَّبِيِّۦنَ أَرْبَابًا أَ يَأْمُرُ كُم بِ ٱلْ كُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
Nor could he order you to take the angels and prophets as lords. Would he order you to disbelief after you had been Muslims?
42:6
وَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ هِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ٱللَّهُ حَفِيظٌ عَلَيْ هِمْ وَ مَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْ هِم بِ وَكِيلٍ
And those who take as allies other than Him - Allah is [yet] Guardian over them; and you, [O Muhammad], are not over them a manager.
42:9
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ هِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ فَ ٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلْ وَلِىُّ وَ هُوَ يُحْىِ ٱلْ مَوْتَىٰ وَ هُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Or have they taken protectors [or allies] besides him? But Allah - He is the Protector, and He gives life to the dead, and He is over all things competent.
43:16
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ مِ مَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍ وَ أَصْفَىٰ كُم بِ ٱلْ بَنِينَ
Or has He taken, out of what He has created, daughters and chosen you for [having] sons?
43:32
أَ هُمْ يَقْسِمُ ونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّ كَ نَحْنُ قَسَمْ نَا بَيْنَ هُم مَّعِيشَتَ هُمْ فِى ٱلْ حَيَوٰةِ ٱل دُّنْيَا وَ رَفَعْ نَا بَعْضَ هُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَٰتٍ لِّ يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُ هُم بَعْضًا سُخْرِيًّا وَ رَحْمَتُ رَبِّ كَ خَيْرٌ مِّ مَّا يَجْمَعُ ونَ
Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? It is We who have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of this world and have raised some of them above others in degrees [of rank] that they may make use of one another for service. But the mercy of your Lord is better than whatever they accumulate.
45:10
مِّن وَرَآئِ هِمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَ لَا يُغْنِى عَنْ هُم مَّا كَسَبُ وا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَ لَا مَا ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَ لَ هُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Before them is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allah as allies. And they will have a great punishment.
45:23
أَ فَ رَءَيْ تَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَ هُۥ هَوَىٰ هُ وَ أَضَلَّ هُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ وَ خَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِ هِۦ وَ قَلْبِ هِۦ وَ جَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِ هِۦ غِشَٰوَةً فَ مَن يَهْدِي هِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱللَّهِ أَ فَ لَا تَذَكَّرُ ونَ
Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah? Then will you not be reminded?
45:35
ذَٰلِكُم بِ أَنَّ كُمُ ٱتَّخَذْ تُمْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَ غَرَّتْ كُمُ ٱلْ حَيَوٰةُ ٱل دُّنْيَا فَ ٱلْ يَوْمَ لَا يُخْرَجُ ونَ مِنْ هَا وَ لَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُ ونَ
That is because you took the verses of Allah in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah].
45:9
وَ إِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ نَا شَيْـًٔا ٱتَّخَذَ هَا هُزُوًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَ هُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ
And when he knows anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.
46:28
فَ لَوْلَا نَصَرَ هُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ قُرْبَانًا ءَالِهَةًۢ بَلْ ضَلُّ وا۟ عَنْ هُمْ وَ ذَٰلِكَ إِفْكُ هُمْ وَ مَا كَانُ وا۟ يَفْتَرُ ونَ
Then why did those they took besides Allah as deities by which to approach [Him] not aid them? But they had strayed from them. And that was their falsehood and what they were inventing.
4:118
لَّعَنَ هُ ٱللَّهُ وَ قَالَ لَ أَتَّخِذَ نَّ مِنْ عِبَادِ كَ نَصِيبًا مَّفْرُوضًا
Whom Allah has cursed. For he had said, "I will surely take from among Your servants a specific portion.
4:119
وَ لَ أُضِلَّ نَّ هُمْ وَ لَ أُمَنِّيَ نَّ هُمْ وَ لَ ءَامُرَ نَّ هُمْ فَ لَ يُبَتِّكُ نَّ ءَاذَانَ ٱلْ أَنْعَٰمِ وَ لَ ءَامُرَ نَّ هُمْ فَ لَ يُغَيِّرُ نَّ خَلْقَ ٱللَّهِ وَ مَن يَتَّخِذِ ٱل شَّيْطَٰنَ وَلِيًّا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَ قَدْ خَسِرَ خُسْرَانًا مُّبِينًا
And I will mislead them, and I will arouse in them [sinful] desires, and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah." And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss.
4:125
وَ مَنْ أَحْسَنُ دِينًا مِّ مَّنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَ هُۥ لِ لَّهِ وَ هُوَ مُحْسِنٌ وَ ٱتَّبَعَ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ خَلِيلًا
And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good and follows the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend.
4:139
ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُ ونَ ٱلْ كَٰفِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ أَ يَبْتَغُ ونَ عِندَ هُمُ ٱلْ عِزَّةَ فَ إِنَّ ٱلْ عِزَّةَ لِ لَّهِ جَمِيعًا
Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek with them honor [through power]? But indeed, honor belongs to Allah entirely.
4:144
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وا۟ ٱلْ كَٰفِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ أَ تُرِيدُ ونَ أَن تَجْعَلُ وا۟ لِ لَّهِ عَلَيْ كُمْ سُلْطَٰنًا مُّبِينًا
O you who have believed, do not take the disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do you wish to give Allah against yourselves a clear case?
4:150
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُ ونَ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ رُسُلِ هِۦ وَ يُرِيدُ ونَ أَن يُفَرِّقُ وا۟ بَيْنَ ٱللَّهِ وَ رُسُلِ هِۦ وَ يَقُولُ ونَ نُؤْمِنُ بِ بَعْضٍ وَ نَكْفُرُ بِ بَعْضٍ وَ يُرِيدُ ونَ أَن يَتَّخِذُ وا۟ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلًا
Indeed, those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers and wish to discriminate between Allah and His messengers and say, "We believe in some and disbelieve in others," and wish to adopt a way in between -
4:153
يَسْـَٔلُ كَ أَهْلُ ٱلْ كِتَٰبِ أَن تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْ هِمْ كِتَٰبًا مِّنَ ٱل سَّمَآءِ فَ قَدْ سَأَلُ وا۟ مُوسَىٰٓ أَكْبَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَ قَالُ وٓا۟ أَرِ نَا ٱللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَ أَخَذَتْ هُمُ ٱل صَّٰعِقَةُ بِ ظُلْمِ هِمْ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ ٱلْ عِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْ هُمُ ٱلْ بَيِّنَٰتُ فَ عَفَوْ نَا عَن ذَٰلِكَ وَ ءَاتَيْ نَا مُوسَىٰ سُلْطَٰنًا مُّبِينًا
The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, "Show us Allah outright," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidences had come to them, and We pardoned that. And We gave Moses a clear authority.
4:25
وَ مَن لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِن كُمْ طَوْلًا أَن يَنكِحَ ٱلْ مُحْصَنَٰتِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنَٰتِ فَ مِن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُ كُم مِّن فَتَيَٰتِ كُمُ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِ إِيمَٰنِ كُم بَعْضُ كُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍ فَ ٱنكِحُ و هُنَّ بِ إِذْنِ أَهْلِ هِنَّ وَ ءَاتُ و هُنَّ أُجُورَ هُنَّ بِ ٱلْ مَعْرُوفِ مُحْصَنَٰتٍ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحَٰتٍ وَ لَا مُتَّخِذَٰتِ أَخْدَانٍ فَ إِذَآ أُحْصِ نَّ فَ إِنْ أَتَيْ نَ بِ فَٰحِشَةٍ فَ عَلَيْ هِنَّ نِصْفُ مَا عَلَى ٱلْ مُحْصَنَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلْ عَذَابِ ذَٰلِكَ لِ مَنْ خَشِىَ ٱلْ عَنَتَ مِن كُمْ وَ أَن تَصْبِرُ وا۟ خَيْرٌ لَّ كُمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
And whoever among you cannot [find] the means to marry free, believing women, then [he may marry] from those whom your right hands possess of believing slave girls. And Allah is most knowing about your faith. You [believers] are of one another. So marry them with the permission of their people and give them their due compensation according to what is acceptable. [They should be] chaste, neither [of] those who commit unlawful intercourse randomly nor those who take [secret] lovers. But once they are sheltered in marriage, if they should commit adultery, then for them is half the punishment for free [unmarried] women. This [allowance] is for him among you who fears sin, but to be patient is better for you. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
4:89
وَدُّ وا۟ لَوْ تَكْفُرُ ونَ كَ مَا كَفَرُ وا۟ فَ تَكُونُ ونَ سَوَآءً فَ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وا۟ مِنْ هُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُ وا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَ إِن تَوَلَّ وْا۟ فَ خُذُ و هُمْ وَ ٱقْتُلُ و هُمْ حَيْثُ وَجَد تُّمُو هُمْ وَ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وا۟ مِنْ هُمْ وَلِيًّا وَ لَا نَصِيرًا
They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.
58:16
ٱتَّخَذُ وٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَ هُمْ جُنَّةً فَ صَدُّ وا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَ لَ هُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ
They took their [false] oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah, and for them is a humiliating punishment.
5:116
وَ إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰ عِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ءَ أَنتَ قُلْ تَ لِ ل نَّاسِ ٱتَّخِذُ و نِى وَ أُمِّ ىَ إِلَٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ قَالَ سُبْحَٰنَ كَ مَا يَكُونُ لِ ىٓ أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِ ى بِ حَقٍّ إِن كُن تُ قُلْ تُ هُۥ فَ قَدْ عَلِمْ تَ هُۥ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِ ى وَ لَآ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِ كَ إِنَّ كَ أَنتَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلْ غُيُوبِ
And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.
5:5
ٱلْ يَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَ كُمُ ٱل طَّيِّبَٰتُ وَ طَعَامُ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُ وا۟ ٱلْ كِتَٰبَ حِلٌّ لَّ كُمْ وَ طَعَامُ كُمْ حِلٌّ لَّ هُمْ وَ ٱلْ مُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ مُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُ وا۟ ٱلْ كِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِ كُمْ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْ تُمُو هُنَّ أُجُورَ هُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحِينَ وَ لَا مُتَّخِذِىٓ أَخْدَانٍ وَ مَن يَكْفُرْ بِ ٱلْ إِيمَٰنِ فَ قَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُ هُۥ وَ هُوَ فِى ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلْ خَٰسِرِينَ
This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you, when you have given them their due compensation, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith - his work has become worthless, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.
5:51
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وا۟ ٱلْ يَهُودَ وَ ٱل نَّصَٰرَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ بَعْضُ هُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ وَ مَن يَتَوَلَّ هُم مِّن كُمْ فَ إِنَّ هُۥ مِنْ هُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْ قَوْمَ ٱل ظَّٰلِمِينَ
O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people.
5:57
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ دِينَ كُمْ هُزُوًا وَ لَعِبًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُ وا۟ ٱلْ كِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِ كُمْ وَ ٱلْ كُفَّارَ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُن تُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
O you who have believed, take not those who have taken your religion in ridicule and amusement among the ones who were given the Scripture before you nor the disbelievers as allies. And fear Allah, if you should [truly] be believers.
5:58
وَ إِذَا نَادَيْ تُمْ إِلَى ٱل صَّلَوٰةِ ٱتَّخَذُ و هَا هُزُوًا وَ لَعِبًا ذَٰلِكَ بِ أَنَّ هُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْقِلُ ونَ
And when you call to prayer, they take it in ridicule and amusement. That is because they are a people who do not use reason.
5:81
وَ لَوْ كَانُ وا۟ يُؤْمِنُ ونَ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱل نَّبِىِّ وَ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْ هِ مَا ٱتَّخَذُ و هُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَ لَٰكِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْ هُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ
And if they had believed in Allah and the Prophet and in what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them as allies; but many of them are defiantly disobedient.
60:1
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وا۟ عَدُوِّ ى وَ عَدُوَّ كُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ تُلْقُ ونَ إِلَيْ هِم بِ ٱلْ مَوَدَّةِ وَ قَدْ كَفَرُ وا۟ بِ مَا جَآءَ كُم مِّنَ ٱلْ حَقِّ يُخْرِجُ ونَ ٱل رَّسُولَ وَ إِيَّاكُمْ أَن تُؤْمِنُ وا۟ بِ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ كُمْ إِن كُن تُمْ خَرَجْ تُمْ جِهَٰدًا فِى سَبِيلِ ى وَ ٱبْتِغَآءَ مَرْضَاتِ ى تُسِرُّ ونَ إِلَيْ هِم بِ ٱلْ مَوَدَّةِ وَ أَنَا۠ أَعْلَمُ بِ مَآ أَخْفَيْ تُمْ وَ مَآ أَعْلَن تُمْ وَ مَن يَفْعَلْ هُ مِن كُمْ فَ قَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱل سَّبِيلِ
O you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies, extending to them affection while they have disbelieved in what came to you of the truth, having driven out the Prophet and yourselves [only] because you believe in Allah, your Lord. If you have come out for jihad in My cause and seeking means to My approval, [take them not as friends]. You confide to them affection, but I am most knowing of what you have concealed and what you have declared. And whoever does it among you has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.
63:2
ٱتَّخَذُ وٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَ هُمْ جُنَّةً فَ صَدُّ وا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ هُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُ وا۟ يَعْمَلُ ونَ
They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.
6:14
قُلْ أَ غَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ هُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَ لَا يُطْعَمُ قُلْ إِنِّ ىٓ أُمِرْ تُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَ لَا تَكُونَ نَّ مِنَ ٱلْ مُشْرِكِينَ
Say, "Is it other than Allah I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and the earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allah] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists.' "
6:70
وَ ذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ دِينَ هُمْ لَعِبًا وَ لَهْوًا وَ غَرَّتْ هُمُ ٱلْ حَيَوٰةُ ٱل دُّنْيَا وَ ذَكِّرْ بِ هِۦٓ أَن تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌۢ بِ مَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَ هَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِىٌّ وَ لَا شَفِيعٌ وَ إِن تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍ لَّا يُؤْخَذْ مِنْ هَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُبْسِلُ وا۟ بِ مَا كَسَبُ وا۟ لَ هُمْ شَرَابٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ وَ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِ مَا كَانُ وا۟ يَكْفُرُ ونَ
And leave those who take their religion as amusement and diversion and whom the worldly life has deluded. But remind with the Qur'an, lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned; it will have other than Allah no protector and no intercessor. And if it should offer every compensation, it would not be taken from it. Those are the ones who are given to destruction for what they have earned. For them will be a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment because they used to disbelieve.
6:74
وَ إِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِ أَبِي هِ ءَازَرَ أَ تَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا ءَالِهَةً إِنِّ ىٓ أَرَىٰ كَ وَ قَوْمَ كَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father Azar, "Do you take idols as deities? Indeed, I see you and your people to be in manifest error."
72:3
وَ أَنَّ هُۥ تَعَٰلَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّ نَا مَا ٱتَّخَذَ صَٰحِبَةً وَ لَا وَلَدًا
And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son
73:19
إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦ تَذْكِرَةٌ فَ مَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ هِۦ سَبِيلًا
Indeed, this is a reminder, so whoever wills may take to his Lord a way.
73:9
رَّبُّ ٱلْ مَشْرِقِ وَ ٱلْ مَغْرِبِ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَ ٱتَّخِذْ هُ وَكِيلًا
[He is] the Lord of the East and the West; there is no deity except Him, so take Him as Disposer of [your] affairs.
76:29
إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦ تَذْكِرَةٌ فَ مَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ هِۦ سَبِيلًا
Indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his Lord a way.
78:39
ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْ يَوْمُ ٱلْ حَقُّ فَ مَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ هِۦ مَـَٔابًا
That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return.
7:146
سَ أَصْرِفُ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِ ىَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَكَبَّرُ ونَ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ بِ غَيْرِ ٱلْ حَقِّ وَ إِن يَرَ وْا۟ كُلَّ ءَايَةٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُ وا۟ بِ هَا وَ إِن يَرَ وْا۟ سَبِيلَ ٱل رُّشْدِ لَا يَتَّخِذُ و هُ سَبِيلًا وَ إِن يَرَ وْا۟ سَبِيلَ ٱلْ غَىِّ يَتَّخِذُ و هُ سَبِيلًا ذَٰلِكَ بِ أَنَّ هُمْ كَذَّبُ وا۟ بِ ـَٔايَٰتِ نَا وَ كَانُ وا۟ عَنْ هَا غَٰفِلِينَ
I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant upon the earth without right; and if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. And if they see the way of consciousness, they will not adopt it as a way; but if they see the way of error, they will adopt it as a way. That is because they have denied Our signs and they were heedless of them.
7:148
وَ ٱتَّخَذَ قَوْمُ مُوسَىٰ مِنۢ بَعْدِ هِۦ مِنْ حُلِيِّ هِمْ عِجْلًا جَسَدًا لَّ هُۥ خُوَارٌ أَ لَمْ يَرَ وْا۟ أَنَّ هُۥ لَا يُكَلِّمُ هُمْ وَ لَا يَهْدِي هِمْ سَبِيلًا ٱتَّخَذُ و هُ وَ كَانُ وا۟ ظَٰلِمِينَ
And the people of Moses made, after [his departure], from their ornaments a calf - an image having a lowing sound. Did they not see that it could neither speak to them nor guide them to a way? They took it [for worship], and they were wrongdoers.
7:152
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ ٱلْ عِجْلَ سَ يَنَالُ هُمْ غَضَبٌ مِّن رَّبِّ هِمْ وَ ذِلَّةٌ فِى ٱلْ حَيَوٰةِ ٱل دُّنْيَا وَ كَ ذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْ مُفْتَرِينَ
Indeed, those who took the calf [for worship] will obtain anger from their Lord and humiliation in the life of this world, and thus do We recompense the inventors [of falsehood].
7:30
فَرِيقًا هَدَىٰ وَ فَرِيقًا حَقَّ عَلَيْ هِمُ ٱل ضَّلَٰلَةُ إِنَّ هُمُ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ ٱل شَّيَٰطِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَ يَحْسَبُ ونَ أَنَّ هُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
A group [of you] He guided, and a group deserved [to be in] error. Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of Allah while they thought that they were guided.
7:51
ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ دِينَ هُمْ لَهْوًا وَ لَعِبًا وَ غَرَّتْ هُمُ ٱلْ حَيَوٰةُ ٱل دُّنْيَا فَ ٱلْ يَوْمَ نَنسَىٰ هُمْ كَ مَا نَسُ وا۟ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِ هِمْ هَٰذَا وَ مَا كَانُ وا۟ بِ ـَٔايَٰتِ نَا يَجْحَدُ ونَ
Who took their religion as distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deluded." So today We will forget them just as they forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs and for having rejected Our verses.
7:74
وَ ٱذْكُرُ وٓا۟ إِذْ جَعَلَ كُمْ خُلَفَآءَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ عَادٍ وَ بَوَّأَ كُمْ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ تَتَّخِذُ ونَ مِن سُهُولِ هَا قُصُورًا وَ تَنْحِتُ ونَ ٱلْ جِبَالَ بُيُوتًا فَ ٱذْكُرُ وٓا۟ ءَالَآءَ ٱللَّهِ وَ لَا تَعْثَ وْا۟ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
And remember when He made you successors after the 'Aad and settled you in the land, [and] you take for yourselves palaces from its plains and carve from the mountains, homes. Then remember the favors of Allah and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption."
9:107
وَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ مَسْجِدًا ضِرَارًا وَ كُفْرًا وَ تَفْرِيقًۢا بَيْنَ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَ إِرْصَادًا لِّ مَنْ حَارَبَ ٱللَّهَ وَ رَسُولَ هُۥ مِن قَبْلُ وَ لَ يَحْلِفُ نَّ إِنْ أَرَدْ نَآ إِلَّا ٱلْ حُسْنَىٰ وَ ٱللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّ هُمْ لَ كَٰذِبُونَ
And [there are] those [hypocrites] who took for themselves a mosque for causing harm and disbelief and division among the believers and as a station for whoever had warred against Allah and His Messenger before. And they will surely swear, "We intended only the best." And Allah testifies that indeed they are liars.
9:16
أَمْ حَسِبْ تُمْ أَن تُتْرَكُ وا۟ وَ لَمَّا يَعْلَمِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُ وا۟ مِن كُمْ وَ لَمْ يَتَّخِذُ وا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَ لَا رَسُولِ هِۦ وَ لَا ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَلِيجَةً وَ ٱللَّهُ خَبِيرٌۢ بِ مَا تَعْمَلُ ونَ
Do you think that you will be left [as you are] while Allah has not yet made evident those among you who strive [for His cause] and do not take other than Allah, His Messenger and the believers as intimates? And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.
9:23
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وٓا۟ ءَابَآءَ كُمْ وَ إِخْوَٰنَ كُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ إِنِ ٱسْتَحَبُّ وا۟ ٱلْ كُفْرَ عَلَى ٱلْ إِيمَٰنِ وَ مَن يَتَوَلَّ هُم مِّن كُمْ فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱل ظَّٰلِمُونَ
O you who have believed, do not take your fathers or your brothers as allies if they have preferred disbelief over belief. And whoever does so among you - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.
9:31
ٱتَّخَذُ وٓا۟ أَحْبَارَ هُمْ وَ رُهْبَٰنَ هُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱلْ مَسِيحَ ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَ مَآ أُمِرُ وٓا۟ إِلَّا لِ يَعْبُدُ وٓا۟ إِلَٰهًا وَٰحِدًا لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ سُبْحَٰنَ هُۥ عَ مَّا يُشْرِكُ ونَ
They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah, and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.
9:98
وَ مِنَ ٱلْ أَعْرَابِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ مَغْرَمًا وَ يَتَرَبَّصُ بِ كُمُ ٱل دَّوَآئِرَ عَلَيْ هِمْ دَآئِرَةُ ٱل سَّوْءِ وَ ٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
And among the bedouins are some who consider what they spend as a loss and await for you turns of misfortune. Upon them will be a misfortune of evil. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
9:99
وَ مِنَ ٱلْ أَعْرَابِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱلْ يَوْمِ ٱلْ ءَاخِرِ وَ يَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ قُرُبَٰتٍ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَ صَلَوَٰتِ ٱل رَّسُولِ أَلَآ إِنَّ هَا قُرْبَةٌ لَّ هُمْ سَ يُدْخِلُ هُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِى رَحْمَتِ هِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
But among the bedouins are some who believe in Allah and the Last Day and consider what they spend as means of nearness to Allah and of [obtaining] invocations of the Messenger. Unquestionably, it is a means of nearness for them. Allah will admit them to His mercy. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
