10:31
قُلْ مَن يَرْزُقُ كُم مِّنَ ٱل سَّمَآءِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ أَ مَّن يَمْلِكُ ٱل سَّمْعَ وَ ٱلْ أَبْصَٰرَ وَ مَن يُخْرِجُ ٱلْ حَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْ مَيِّتِ وَ يُخْرِجُ ٱلْ مَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْ حَىِّ وَ مَن يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْ أَمْرَ فَ سَ يَقُولُ ونَ ٱللَّهُ فَ قُلْ أَ فَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
Say, "Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges [every] matter?" They will say, "Allah," so say, "Then will you not fear Him?"
10:6
إِنَّ فِى ٱخْتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّ يْلِ وَ ٱل نَّهَارِ وَ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ لَ ءَايَٰتٍ لِّ قَوْمٍ يَتَّقُ ونَ
Indeed, in the alternation of the night and the day and [in] what Allah has created in the heavens and the earth are signs for a people who fear Allah
10:63
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ كَانُ وا۟ يَتَّقُ ونَ
Those who believed and were fearing Allah
11:49
تِلْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلْ غَيْبِ نُوحِي هَآ إِلَيْ كَ مَا كُن تَ تَعْلَمُ هَآ أَنتَ وَ لَا قَوْمُ كَ مِن قَبْلِ هَٰذَا فَ ٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ ٱلْ عَٰقِبَةَ لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. You knew it not, neither you nor your people, before this. So be patient; indeed, the [best] outcome is for the righteous.
11:78
وَ جَآءَ هُۥ قَوْمُ هُۥ يُهْرَعُ ونَ إِلَيْ هِ وَ مِن قَبْلُ كَانُ وا۟ يَعْمَلُ ونَ ٱل سَّيِّـَٔاتِ قَالَ يَٰ قَوْمِ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِ ى هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَ كُمْ فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ لَا تُخْزُ و نِ فِى ضَيْفِ ىٓ أَ لَيْسَ مِن كُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيدٌ
And his people came hastening to him, and before [this] they had been doing evil deeds. He said, "O my people, these are my daughters; they are purer for you. So fear Allah and do not disgrace me concerning my guests. Is there not among you a man of reason?"
12:109
وَ مَآ أَرْسَلْ نَا مِن قَبْلِ كَ إِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْ هِم مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْ قُرَىٰٓ أَ فَ لَمْ يَسِيرُ وا۟ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ فَ يَنظُرُ وا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِ هِمْ وَ لَ دَارُ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ لِّ لَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ أَ فَ لَا تَعْقِلُ ونَ
And We sent not before you [as messengers] except men to whom We revealed from among the people of cities. So have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? And the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah; then will you not reason?
12:57
وَ لَ أَجْرُ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ لِّ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ كَانُ وا۟ يَتَّقُ ونَ
And the reward of the Hereafter is better for those who believed and were fearing Allah.
12:90
قَالُ وٓا۟ أَ ءِنَّ كَ لَ أَنتَ يُوسُفُ قَالَ أَنَا۠ يُوسُفُ وَ هَٰذَآ أَخِ ى قَدْ مَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْ نَآ إِنَّ هُۥ مَن يَتَّقِ وَ يَصْبِرْ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ ٱلْ مُحْسِنِينَ
They said, "Are you indeed Joseph?" He said "I am Joseph, and this is my brother. Allah has certainly favored us. Indeed, he who fears Allah and is patient, then indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good."
13:35
مَّثَلُ ٱلْ جَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْ مُتَّقُونَ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِ هَا ٱلْ أَنْهَٰرُ أُكُلُ هَا دَآئِمٌ وَ ظِلُّ هَا تِلْكَ عُقْبَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وا۟ وَّ عُقْبَى ٱلْ كَٰفِرِينَ ٱل نَّارُ
The example of Paradise, which the righteous have been promised, is [that] beneath it rivers flow. Its fruit is lasting, and its shade. That is the consequence for the righteous, and the consequence for the disbelievers is the Fire.
15:45
إِنَّ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَ عُيُونٍ
Indeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs.
15:69
وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ لَا تُخْزُ و نِ
And fear Allah and do not disgrace me."
16:128
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وا۟ وَّ ٱلَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ
Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good.
16:2
يُنَزِّلُ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةَ بِ ٱل رُّوحِ مِنْ أَمْرِ هِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِ هِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ هُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَ ٱتَّقُ و نِ
He sends down the angels, with the inspiration of His command, upon whom He wills of His servants, [telling them], "Warn that there is no deity except Me; so fear Me."
16:30
وَ قِيلَ لِ لَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ مَاذَآ أَنزَلَ رَبُّ كُمْ قَالُ وا۟ خَيْرًا لِّ لَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُ وا۟ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱل دُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌ وَ لَ دَارُ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ وَ لَ نِعْمَ دَارُ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
And it will be said to those who feared Allah, "What did your Lord send down?" They will say, "[That which is] good." For those who do good in this world is good; and the home of the Hereafter is better. And how excellent is the home of the righteous -
16:31
جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُ ونَ هَا تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِ هَا ٱلْ أَنْهَٰرُ لَ هُمْ فِي هَا مَا يَشَآءُ ونَ كَ ذَٰلِكَ يَجْزِى ٱللَّهُ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
Gardens of perpetual residence, which they will enter, beneath which rivers flow. They will have therein whatever they wish. Thus does Allah reward the righteous -
16:52
وَ لَ هُۥ مَا فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ لَ هُ ٱل دِّينُ وَاصِبًا أَ فَ غَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَتَّقُ ونَ
And to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him is [due] worship constantly. Then is it other than Allah that you fear?
19:72
ثُمَّ نُنَجِّى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وا۟ وَّ نَذَرُ ٱل ظَّٰلِمِينَ فِي هَا جِثِيًّا
Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees.
19:85
يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ إِلَى ٱل رَّحْمَٰنِ وَفْدًا
On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation
19:97
فَ إِنَّ مَا يَسَّرْ نَٰ هُ بِ لِسَانِ كَ لِ تُبَشِّرَ بِ هِ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ وَ تُنذِرَ بِ هِۦ قَوْمًا لُّدًّا
So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people.
20:113
وَ كَ ذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْ نَٰ هُ قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّا وَ صَرَّفْ نَا فِي هِ مِنَ ٱلْ وَعِيدِ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَتَّقُ ونَ أَوْ يُحْدِثُ لَ هُمْ ذِكْرًا
And thus We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an and have diversified therein the warnings that perhaps they will avoid [sin] or it would cause them remembrance.
21:48
وَ لَ قَدْ ءَاتَيْ نَا مُوسَىٰ وَ هَٰرُونَ ٱلْ فُرْقَانَ وَ ضِيَآءً وَ ذِكْرًا لِّ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous
22:1
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱل نَّاسُ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ رَبَّ كُمْ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ ٱل سَّاعَةِ شَىْءٌ عَظِيمٌ
O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing.
23:23
وَ لَ قَدْ أَرْسَلْ نَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ هِۦ فَ قَالَ يَٰ قَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَ كُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُ هُۥٓ أَ فَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
And We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?"
23:32
فَ أَرْسَلْ نَا فِي هِمْ رَسُولًا مِّنْ هُمْ أَنِ ٱعْبُدُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَ كُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُ هُۥٓ أَ فَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
And We sent among them a messenger from themselves, [saying], "Worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?"
23:52
وَ إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أُمَّتُ كُمْ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً وَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّ كُمْ فَ ٱتَّقُ و نِ
And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me."
23:87
سَ يَقُولُ ونَ لِ لَّهِ قُلْ أَ فَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?"
24:34
وَ لَ قَدْ أَنزَلْ نَآ إِلَيْ كُمْ ءَايَٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنَٰتٍ وَ مَثَلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَ وْا۟ مِن قَبْلِ كُمْ وَ مَوْعِظَةً لِّ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
And We have certainly sent down to you distinct verses and examples from those who passed on before you and an admonition for those who fear Allah.
24:52
وَ مَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَ رَسُولَ هُۥ وَ يَخْشَ ٱللَّهَ وَ يَتَّقْ هِ فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْ فَآئِزُونَ
And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger and fears Allah and is conscious of Him - it is those who are the attainers.
25:15
قُلْ أَ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ أَمْ جَنَّةُ ٱلْ خُلْدِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْ مُتَّقُونَ كَانَتْ لَ هُمْ جَزَآءً وَ مَصِيرًا
Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination.
25:74
وَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُ ونَ رَبَّ نَا هَبْ لَ نَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِ نَا وَ ذُرِّيَّٰتِ نَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَ ٱجْعَلْ نَا لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous."
26:106
إِذْ قَالَ لَ هُمْ أَخُو هُمْ نُوحٌ أَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
26:108
فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
So fear Allah and obey me.
26:11
قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَ لَا يَتَّقُ ونَ
The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?"
26:110
فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
So fear Allah and obey me."
26:124
إِذْ قَالَ لَ هُمْ أَخُو هُمْ هُودٌ أَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
26:126
فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
So fear Allah and obey me.
26:131
فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
So fear Allah and obey me.
26:132
وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّ كُم بِ مَا تَعْلَمُ ونَ
And fear He who provided you with that which you know,
26:142
إِذْ قَالَ لَ هُمْ أَخُو هُمْ صَٰلِحٌ أَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
When their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
26:144
فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
So fear Allah and obey me.
26:150
فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
So fear Allah and obey me.
26:161
إِذْ قَالَ لَ هُمْ أَخُو هُمْ لُوطٌ أَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
26:163
فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
So fear Allah and obey me.
26:177
إِذْ قَالَ لَ هُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
26:179
فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
So fear Allah and obey me.
26:184
وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ كُمْ وَ ٱلْ جِبِلَّةَ ٱلْ أَوَّلِينَ
And fear He who created you and the former creation."
26:90
وَ أُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْ جَنَّةُ لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous.
27:53
وَ أَنجَيْ نَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ كَانُ وا۟ يَتَّقُ ونَ
And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah.
28:83
تِلْكَ ٱل دَّارُ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُ هَا لِ لَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُ ونَ عُلُوًّا فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ لَا فَسَادًا وَ ٱلْ عَٰقِبَةُ لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
That home of the Hereafter We assign to those who do not desire exaltedness upon the earth or corruption. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous.
29:16
وَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ إِذْ قَالَ لِ قَوْمِ هِ ٱعْبُدُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱتَّقُ و هُ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّ كُمْ إِن كُن تُمْ تَعْلَمُ ونَ
And [We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, "Worship Allah and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know.
2:103
وَ لَوْ أَنَّ هُمْ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ لَ مَثُوبَةٌ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَّوْ كَانُ وا۟ يَعْلَمُ ونَ
And if they had believed and feared Allah, then the reward from Allah would have been [far] better, if they only knew.
2:123
وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ يَوْمًا لَّا تَجْزِى نَفْسٌ عَن نَّفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا وَ لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْ هَا عَدْلٌ وَ لَا تَنفَعُ هَا شَفَٰعَةٌ وَ لَا هُمْ يُنصَرُ ونَ
And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul at all, and no compensation will be accepted from it, nor will any intercession benefit it, nor will they be aided.
2:177
لَّيْسَ ٱلْ بِرَّ أَن تُوَلُّ وا۟ وُجُوهَ كُمْ قِبَلَ ٱلْ مَشْرِقِ وَ ٱلْ مَغْرِبِ وَ لَٰكِنَّ ٱلْ بِرَّ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱلْ يَوْمِ ٱلْ ءَاخِرِ وَ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةِ وَ ٱلْ كِتَٰبِ وَ ٱل نَّبِيِّۦنَ وَ ءَاتَى ٱلْ مَالَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّ هِۦ ذَوِى ٱلْ قُرْبَىٰ وَ ٱلْ يَتَٰمَىٰ وَ ٱلْ مَسَٰكِينَ وَ ٱبْنَ ٱل سَّبِيلِ وَ ٱل سَّآئِلِينَ وَ فِى ٱل رِّقَابِ وَ أَقَامَ ٱل صَّلَوٰةَ وَ ءَاتَى ٱل زَّكَوٰةَ وَ ٱلْ مُوفُونَ بِ عَهْدِ هِمْ إِذَا عَٰهَدُ وا۟ وَ ٱل صَّٰبِرِينَ فِى ٱلْ بَأْسَآءِ وَ ٱل ضَّرَّآءِ وَ حِينَ ٱلْ بَأْسِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُ وا۟ وَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْ مُتَّقُونَ
Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.
2:179
وَ لَ كُمْ فِى ٱلْ قِصَاصِ حَيَوٰةٌ يَٰٓ أُو۟لِى ٱلْ أَلْبَٰبِ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تَتَّقُ ونَ
And there is for you in legal retribution [saving of] life, O you [people] of understanding, that you may become righteous.
2:180
كُتِبَ عَلَيْ كُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَ كُمُ ٱلْ مَوْتُ إِن تَرَكَ خَيْرًا ٱلْ وَصِيَّةُ لِ لْ وَٰلِدَيْنِ وَ ٱلْ أَقْرَبِينَ بِ ٱلْ مَعْرُوفِ حَقًّا عَلَى ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
Prescribed for you when death approaches [any] one of you if he leaves wealth [is that he should make] a bequest for the parents and near relatives according to what is acceptable - a duty upon the righteous.
2:183
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْ كُمُ ٱل صِّيَامُ كَ مَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِ كُمْ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تَتَّقُ ونَ
O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous -
2:187
أُحِلَّ لَ كُمْ لَيْلَةَ ٱل صِّيَامِ ٱل رَّفَثُ إِلَىٰ نِسَآئِ كُمْ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّ كُمْ وَ أَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّ هُنَّ عَلِمَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّ كُمْ كُن تُمْ تَخْتَانُ ونَ أَنفُسَ كُمْ فَ تَابَ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ عَفَا عَن كُمْ فَ ٱلْ ـَٰٔنَ بَٰشِرُ و هُنَّ وَ ٱبْتَغُ وا۟ مَا كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَ كُمْ وَ كُلُ وا۟ وَ ٱشْرَبُ وا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَ كُمُ ٱلْ خَيْطُ ٱلْ أَبْيَضُ مِنَ ٱلْ خَيْطِ ٱلْ أَسْوَدِ مِنَ ٱلْ فَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّ وا۟ ٱل صِّيَامَ إِلَى ٱلَّ يْلِ وَ لَا تُبَٰشِرُ و هُنَّ وَ أَنتُمْ عَٰكِفُونَ فِى ٱلْ مَسَٰجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّهِ فَ لَا تَقْرَبُ و هَا كَ ذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ ءَايَٰتِ هِۦ لِ ل نَّاسِ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَتَّقُ ونَ
It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allah has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah, so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His ordinances to the people that they may become righteous.
2:189
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱلْ أَهِلَّةِ قُلْ هِىَ مَوَٰقِيتُ لِ ل نَّاسِ وَ ٱلْ حَجِّ وَ لَيْسَ ٱلْ بِرُّ بِ أَن تَأْتُ وا۟ ٱلْ بُيُوتَ مِن ظُهُورِ هَا وَ لَٰكِنَّ ٱلْ بِرَّ مَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰ وَ أْتُ وا۟ ٱلْ بُيُوتَ مِنْ أَبْوَٰبِ هَا وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُفْلِحُ ونَ
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the new moons. Say, "They are measurements of time for the people and for Hajj." And it is not righteousness to enter houses from the back, but righteousness is [in] one who fears Allah. And enter houses from their doors. And fear Allah that you may succeed.
2:194
ٱل شَّهْرُ ٱلْ حَرَامُ بِ ٱل شَّهْرِ ٱلْ حَرَامِ وَ ٱلْ حُرُمَٰتُ قِصَاصٌ فَ مَنِ ٱعْتَدَىٰ عَلَيْ كُمْ فَ ٱعْتَدُ وا۟ عَلَيْ هِ بِ مِثْلِ مَا ٱعْتَدَىٰ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
[Fighting in] the sacred month is for [aggression committed in] the sacred month, and for [all] violations is legal retribution. So whoever has assaulted you, then assault him in the same way that he has assaulted you. And fear Allah and know that Allah is with those who fear Him.
2:196
وَ أَتِمُّ وا۟ ٱلْ حَجَّ وَ ٱلْ عُمْرَةَ لِ لَّهِ فَ إِنْ أُحْصِرْ تُمْ فَ مَا ٱسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ ٱلْ هَدْىِ وَ لَا تَحْلِقُ وا۟ رُءُوسَ كُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ ٱلْ هَدْىُ مَحِلَّ هُۥ فَ مَن كَانَ مِن كُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ بِ هِۦٓ أَذًى مِّن رَّأْسِ هِۦ فَ فِدْيَةٌ مِّن صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ فَ إِذَآ أَمِن تُمْ فَ مَن تَمَتَّعَ بِ ٱلْ عُمْرَةِ إِلَى ٱلْ حَجِّ فَ مَا ٱسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ ٱلْ هَدْىِ فَ مَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَ صِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِى ٱلْ حَجِّ وَ سَبْعَةٍ إِذَا رَجَعْ تُمْ تِلْكَ عَشَرَةٌ كَامِلَةٌ ذَٰلِكَ لِ مَن لَّمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُ هُۥ حَاضِرِى ٱلْ مَسْجِدِ ٱلْ حَرَامِ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْ عِقَابِ
And complete the Hajj and 'umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then [offer] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter. And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making shaving necessary must offer] a ransom of fasting [three days] or charity or sacrifice. And when you are secure, then whoever performs 'umrah [during the Hajj months] followed by Hajj [offers] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And whoever cannot find [or afford such an animal] - then a fast of three days during Hajj and of seven when you have returned [home]. Those are ten complete [days]. This is for those whose family is not in the area of al-Masjid al-Haram. And fear Allah and know that Allah is severe in penalty.
2:197
ٱلْ حَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَّعْلُومَٰتٌ فَ مَن فَرَضَ فِي هِنَّ ٱلْ حَجَّ فَ لَا رَفَثَ وَ لَا فُسُوقَ وَ لَا جِدَالَ فِى ٱلْ حَجِّ وَ مَا تَفْعَلُ وا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْ هُ ٱللَّهُ وَ تَزَوَّدُ وا۟ فَ إِنَّ خَيْرَ ٱل زَّادِ ٱل تَّقْوَىٰ وَ ٱتَّقُ و نِ يَٰٓ أُو۟لِى ٱلْ أَلْبَٰبِ
Hajj is [during] well-known months, so whoever has made Hajj obligatory upon himself therein [by entering the state of ihram], there is [to be for him] no sexual relations and no disobedience and no disputing during Hajj. And whatever good you do - Allah knows it. And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is fear of Allah. And fear Me, O you of understanding.
2:2
ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْ كِتَٰبُ لَا رَيْبَ فِي هِ هُدًى لِّ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah -
2:203
وَ ٱذْكُرُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ مَّعْدُودَٰتٍ فَ مَن تَعَجَّلَ فِى يَوْمَيْنِ فَ لَآ إِثْمَ عَلَيْ هِ وَ مَن تَأَخَّرَ فَ لَآ إِثْمَ عَلَيْ هِ لِ مَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ كُمْ إِلَيْ هِ تُحْشَرُ ونَ
And remember Allah during [specific] numbered days. Then whoever hastens [his departure] in two days - there is no sin upon him; and whoever delays [until the third] - there is no sin upon him - for him who fears Allah. And fear Allah and know that unto Him you will be gathered.
2:206
وَ إِذَا قِيلَ لَ هُ ٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ أَخَذَتْ هُ ٱلْ عِزَّةُ بِ ٱلْ إِثْمِ فَ حَسْبُ هُۥ جَهَنَّمُ وَ لَ بِئْسَ ٱلْ مِهَادُ
And when it is said to him, "Fear Allah," pride in the sin takes hold of him. Sufficient for him is Hellfire, and how wretched is the resting place.
2:21
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱل نَّاسُ ٱعْبُدُ وا۟ رَبَّ كُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ كُمْ وَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِ كُمْ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تَتَّقُ ونَ
O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous -
2:212
زُيِّنَ لِ لَّذِينَ كَفَرُ وا۟ ٱلْ حَيَوٰةُ ٱل دُّنْيَا وَ يَسْخَرُ ونَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ فَوْقَ هُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ وَ ٱللَّهُ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِ غَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
Beautified for those who disbelieve is the life of this world, and they ridicule those who believe. But those who fear Allah are above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.
2:223
نِسَآؤُ كُمْ حَرْثٌ لَّ كُمْ فَ أْتُ وا۟ حَرْثَ كُمْ أَنَّىٰ شِئْ تُمْ وَ قَدِّمُ وا۟ لِ أَنفُسِ كُمْ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ كُم مُّلَٰقُو هُ وَ بَشِّرِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Your wives are a place of sowing of seed for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves. And fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good tidings to the believers.
2:224
وَ لَا تَجْعَلُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ عُرْضَةً لِّ أَيْمَٰنِ كُمْ أَن تَبَرُّ وا۟ وَ تَتَّقُ وا۟ وَ تُصْلِحُ وا۟ بَيْنَ ٱل نَّاسِ وَ ٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
And do not make [your oath by] Allah an excuse against being righteous and fearing Allah and making peace among people. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
2:231
وَ إِذَا طَلَّقْ تُمُ ٱل نِّسَآءَ فَ بَلَغْ نَ أَجَلَ هُنَّ فَ أَمْسِكُ و هُنَّ بِ مَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ سَرِّحُ و هُنَّ بِ مَعْرُوفٍ وَ لَا تُمْسِكُ و هُنَّ ضِرَارًا لِّ تَعْتَدُ وا۟ وَ مَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَ قَدْ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَ هُۥ وَ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وٓا۟ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَ ٱذْكُرُ وا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ مَآ أَنزَلَ عَلَيْ كُم مِّنَ ٱلْ كِتَٰبِ وَ ٱلْ حِكْمَةِ يَعِظُ كُم بِ هِۦ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
And when you divorce women and they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or release them according to acceptable terms, and do not keep them, intending harm, to transgress [against them]. And whoever does that has certainly wronged himself. And do not take the verses of Allah in jest. And remember the favor of Allah upon you and what has been revealed to you of the Book and wisdom by which He instructs you. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Knowing of all things.
2:233
وَ ٱلْ وَٰلِدَٰتُ يُرْضِعْ نَ أَوْلَٰدَ هُنَّ حَوْلَيْنِ كَامِلَيْنِ لِ مَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُتِمَّ ٱل رَّضَاعَةَ وَ عَلَى ٱلْ مَوْلُودِ لَ هُۥ رِزْقُ هُنَّ وَ كِسْوَتُ هُنَّ بِ ٱلْ مَعْرُوفِ لَا تُكَلَّفُ نَفْسٌ إِلَّا وُسْعَ هَا لَا تُضَآرَّ وَٰلِدَةٌۢ بِ وَلَدِ هَا وَ لَا مَوْلُودٌ لَّ هُۥ بِ وَلَدِ هِۦ وَ عَلَى ٱلْ وَارِثِ مِثْلُ ذَٰلِكَ فَ إِنْ أَرَادَ ا فِصَالًا عَن تَرَاضٍ مِّنْ هُمَا وَ تَشَاوُرٍ فَ لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْ هِمَا وَ إِنْ أَرَد تُّمْ أَن تَسْتَرْضِعُ وٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَ كُمْ فَ لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْ كُمْ إِذَا سَلَّمْ تُم مَّآ ءَاتَيْ تُم بِ ٱلْ مَعْرُوفِ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِ مَا تَعْمَلُ ونَ بَصِيرٌ
Mothers may breastfeed their children two complete years for whoever wishes to complete the nursing [period]. Upon the father is the mothers' provision and their clothing according to what is acceptable. No person is charged with more than his capacity. No mother should be harmed through her child, and no father through his child. And upon the [father's] heir is [a duty] like that [of the father]. And if they both desire weaning through mutual consent from both of them and consultation, there is no blame upon either of them. And if you wish to have your children nursed by a substitute, there is no blame upon you as long as you give payment according to what is acceptable. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Seeing of what you do.
2:24
فَ إِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُ وا۟ وَ لَن تَفْعَلُ وا۟ فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱل نَّارَ ٱلَّتِى وَقُودُ هَا ٱل نَّاسُ وَ ٱلْ حِجَارَةُ أُعِدَّتْ لِ لْ كَٰفِرِينَ
But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.
2:241
وَ لِ لْ مُطَلَّقَٰتِ مَتَٰعٌۢ بِ ٱلْ مَعْرُوفِ حَقًّا عَلَى ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
And for divorced women is a provision according to what is acceptable - a duty upon the righteous.
2:278
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ذَرُ وا۟ مَا بَقِىَ مِنَ ٱل رِّبَوٰٓا۟ إِن كُن تُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of interest, if you should be believers.
2:281
وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ يَوْمًا تُرْجَعُ ونَ فِي هِ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَ هُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُ ونَ
And fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah. Then every soul will be compensated for what it earned, and they will not be treated unjustly.
2:282
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وٓا۟ إِذَا تَدَايَن تُم بِ دَيْنٍ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى فَ ٱكْتُبُ و هُ وَ لْ يَكْتُب بَّيْنَ كُمْ كَاتِبٌۢ بِ ٱلْ عَدْلِ وَ لَا يَأْبَ كَاتِبٌ أَن يَكْتُبَ كَ مَا عَلَّمَ هُ ٱللَّهُ فَ لْ يَكْتُبْ وَ لْ يُمْلِلِ ٱلَّذِى عَلَيْ هِ ٱلْ حَقُّ وَ لْ يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ هُۥ وَ لَا يَبْخَسْ مِنْ هُ شَيْـًٔا فَ إِن كَانَ ٱلَّذِى عَلَيْ هِ ٱلْ حَقُّ سَفِيهًا أَوْ ضَعِيفًا أَوْ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَن يُمِلَّ هُوَ فَ لْ يُمْلِلْ وَلِيُّ هُۥ بِ ٱلْ عَدْلِ وَ ٱسْتَشْهِدُ وا۟ شَهِيدَيْنِ مِن رِّجَالِ كُمْ فَ إِن لَّمْ يَكُونَ ا رَجُلَيْنِ فَ رَجُلٌ وَ ٱمْرَأَتَانِ مِ مَّن تَرْضَ وْنَ مِنَ ٱل شُّهَدَآءِ أَن تَضِلَّ إِحْدَىٰ هُمَا فَ تُذَكِّرَ إِحْدَىٰ هُمَا ٱلْ أُخْرَىٰ وَ لَا يَأْبَ ٱل شُّهَدَآءُ إِذَا مَا دُعُ وا۟ وَ لَا تَسْـَٔمُ وٓا۟ أَن تَكْتُبُ و هُ صَغِيرًا أَوْ كَبِيرًا إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلِ هِۦ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَقْسَطُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَ أَقْوَمُ لِ ل شَّهَٰدَةِ وَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَ لَّا تَرْتَابُ وٓا۟ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ تِجَٰرَةً حَاضِرَةً تُدِيرُ ونَ هَا بَيْنَ كُمْ فَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْ كُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَ لَّا تَكْتُبُ و هَا وَ أَشْهِدُ وٓا۟ إِذَا تَبَايَعْ تُمْ وَ لَا يُضَآرَّ كَاتِبٌ وَ لَا شَهِيدٌ وَ إِن تَفْعَلُ وا۟ فَ إِنَّ هُۥ فُسُوقٌۢ بِ كُمْ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ يُعَلِّمُ كُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَ ٱللَّهُ بِ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
O you who have believed, when you contract a debt for a specified term, write it down. And let a scribe write [it] between you in justice. Let no scribe refuse to write as Allah has taught him. So let him write and let the one who has the obligation dictate. And let him fear Allah, his Lord, and not leave anything out of it. But if the one who has the obligation is of limited understanding or weak or unable to dictate himself, then let his guardian dictate in justice. And bring to witness two witnesses from among your men. And if there are not two men [available], then a man and two women from those whom you accept as witnesses - so that if one of the women errs, then the other can remind her. And let not the witnesses refuse when they are called upon. And do not be [too] weary to write it, whether it is small or large, for its [specified] term. That is more just in the sight of Allah and stronger as evidence and more likely to prevent doubt between you, except when it is an immediate transaction which you conduct among yourselves. For [then] there is no blame upon you if you do not write it. And take witnesses when you conclude a contract. Let no scribe be harmed or any witness. For if you do so, indeed, it is [grave] disobedience in you. And fear Allah. And Allah teaches you. And Allah is Knowing of all things.
2:283
وَ إِن كُن تُمْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ وَ لَمْ تَجِدُ وا۟ كَاتِبًا فَ رِهَٰنٌ مَّقْبُوضَةٌ فَ إِنْ أَمِنَ بَعْضُ كُم بَعْضًا فَ لْ يُؤَدِّ ٱلَّذِى ٱؤْتُمِنَ أَمَٰنَتَ هُۥ وَ لْ يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ هُۥ وَ لَا تَكْتُمُ وا۟ ٱل شَّهَٰدَةَ وَ مَن يَكْتُمْ هَا فَ إِنَّ هُۥٓ ءَاثِمٌ قَلْبُ هُۥ وَ ٱللَّهُ بِ مَا تَعْمَلُ ونَ عَلِيمٌ
And if you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then a security deposit [should be] taken. And if one of you entrusts another, then let him who is entrusted discharge his trust [faithfully] and let him fear Allah, his Lord. And do not conceal testimony, for whoever conceals it - his heart is indeed sinful, and Allah is Knowing of what you do.
2:41
وَ ءَامِنُ وا۟ بِ مَآ أَنزَلْ تُ مُصَدِّقًا لِّ مَا مَعَ كُمْ وَ لَا تَكُونُ وٓا۟ أَوَّلَ كَافِرٍۭ بِ هِۦ وَ لَا تَشْتَرُ وا۟ بِ ـَٔايَٰتِ ى ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا وَ إِيَّٰىَ فَ ٱتَّقُ و نِ
And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me.
2:48
وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ يَوْمًا لَّا تَجْزِى نَفْسٌ عَن نَّفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا وَ لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْ هَا شَفَٰعَةٌ وَ لَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْ هَا عَدْلٌ وَ لَا هُمْ يُنصَرُ ونَ
And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul at all, nor will intercession be accepted from it, nor will compensation be taken from it, nor will they be aided.
2:63
وَ إِذْ أَخَذْ نَا مِيثَٰقَ كُمْ وَ رَفَعْ نَا فَوْقَ كُمُ ٱل طُّورَ خُذُ وا۟ مَآ ءَاتَيْ نَٰ كُم بِ قُوَّةٍ وَ ٱذْكُرُ وا۟ مَا فِي هِ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تَتَّقُ ونَ
And [recall] when We took your covenant, [O Children of Israel, to abide by the Torah] and We raised over you the mount, [saying], "Take what We have given you with determination and remember what is in it that perhaps you may become righteous."
2:66
فَ جَعَلْ نَٰ هَا نَكَٰلًا لِّ مَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ هَا وَ مَا خَلْفَ هَا وَ مَوْعِظَةً لِّ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
And We made it a deterrent punishment for those who were present and those who succeeded [them] and a lesson for those who fear Allah.
30:31
مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيْ هِ وَ ٱتَّقُ و هُ وَ أَقِيمُ وا۟ ٱل صَّلَوٰةَ وَ لَا تَكُونُ وا۟ مِنَ ٱلْ مُشْرِكِينَ
[Adhere to it], turning in repentance to Him, and fear Him and establish prayer and do not be of those who associate others with Allah
31:33
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱل نَّاسُ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ رَبَّ كُمْ وَ ٱخْشَ وْا۟ يَوْمًا لَّا يَجْزِى وَالِدٌ عَن وَلَدِ هِۦ وَ لَا مَوْلُودٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَن وَالِدِ هِۦ شَيْـًٔا إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَ لَا تَغُرَّ نَّ كُمُ ٱلْ حَيَوٰةُ ٱل دُّنْيَا وَ لَا يَغُرَّ نَّ كُم بِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْ غَرُورُ
O mankind, fear your Lord and fear a Day when no father will avail his son, nor will a son avail his father at all. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver.
33:1
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱل نَّبِىُّ ٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ وَ لَا تُطِعِ ٱلْ كَٰفِرِينَ وَ ٱلْ مُنَٰفِقِينَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
O Prophet, fear Allah and do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
33:32
يَٰ نِسَآءَ ٱل نَّبِىِّ لَسْ تُنَّ كَ أَحَدٍ مِّنَ ٱل نِّسَآءِ إِنِ ٱتَّقَيْ تُنَّ فَ لَا تَخْضَعْ نَ بِ ٱلْ قَوْلِ فَ يَطْمَعَ ٱلَّذِى فِى قَلْبِ هِۦ مَرَضٌ وَ قُلْ نَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا
O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allah, then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech.
33:37
وَ إِذْ تَقُولُ لِ لَّذِىٓ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْ هِ وَ أَنْعَمْ تَ عَلَيْ هِ أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْ كَ زَوْجَ كَ وَ ٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ وَ تُخْفِى فِى نَفْسِ كَ مَا ٱللَّهُ مُبْدِي هِ وَ تَخْشَى ٱل نَّاسَ وَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخْشَىٰ هُ فَ لَمَّا قَضَىٰ زَيْدٌ مِّنْ هَا وَطَرًا زَوَّجْ نَٰ كَ هَا لِ كَىْ لَا يَكُونَ عَلَى ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ حَرَجٌ فِىٓ أَزْوَٰجِ أَدْعِيَآئِ هِمْ إِذَا قَضَ وْا۟ مِنْ هُنَّ وَطَرًا وَ كَانَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ مَفْعُولًا
And [remember, O Muhammad], when you said to the one on whom Allah bestowed favor and you bestowed favor, "Keep your wife and fear Allah," while you concealed within yourself that which Allah is to disclose. And you feared the people, while Allah has more right that you fear Him. So when Zayd had no longer any need for her, We married her to you in order that there not be upon the believers any discomfort concerning the wives of their adopted sons when they no longer have need of them. And ever is the command of Allah accomplished.
33:55
لَّا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْ هِنَّ فِىٓ ءَابَآئِ هِنَّ وَ لَآ أَبْنَآئِ هِنَّ وَ لَآ إِخْوَٰنِ هِنَّ وَ لَآ أَبْنَآءِ إِخْوَٰنِ هِنَّ وَ لَآ أَبْنَآءِ أَخَوَٰتِ هِنَّ وَ لَا نِسَآئِ هِنَّ وَ لَا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُ هُنَّ وَ ٱتَّقِي نَ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدًا
There is no blame upon women concerning their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their brothers' sons or their sisters' sons or their women or those their right hands possess. And fear Allah. Indeed Allah is ever, over all things, Witness.
33:70
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ قُولُ وا۟ قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا
O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice.
36:45
وَ إِذَا قِيلَ لَ هُمُ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِي كُمْ وَ مَا خَلْفَ كُمْ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُرْحَمُ ونَ
But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... "
37:124
إِذْ قَالَ لِ قَوْمِ هِۦٓ أَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah?
38:28
أَمْ نَجْعَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ عَمِلُ وا۟ ٱل صَّٰلِحَٰتِ كَ ٱلْ مُفْسِدِينَ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ كَ ٱلْ فُجَّارِ
Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked?
38:49
هَٰذَا ذِكْرٌ وَ إِنَّ لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ لَ حُسْنَ مَـَٔابٍ
This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a good place of return
39:10
قُلْ يَٰ عِبَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ رَبَّ كُمْ لِ لَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُ وا۟ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱل دُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌ وَ أَرْضُ ٱللَّهِ وَٰسِعَةٌ إِنَّ مَا يُوَفَّى ٱل صَّٰبِرُونَ أَجْرَ هُم بِ غَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
Say, "O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of Allah is spacious. Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account."
39:16
لَ هُم مِّن فَوْقِ هِمْ ظُلَلٌ مِّنَ ٱل نَّارِ وَ مِن تَحْتِ هِمْ ظُلَلٌ ذَٰلِكَ يُخَوِّفُ ٱللَّهُ بِ هِۦ عِبَادَ هُۥ يَٰ عِبَادِ فَ ٱتَّقُ و نِ
They will have canopies of fire above them and below them, canopies. By that Allah threatens His servants. O My servants, then fear Me.
39:20
لَٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ رَبَّ هُمْ لَ هُمْ غُرَفٌ مِّن فَوْقِ هَا غُرَفٌ مَّبْنِيَّةٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِ هَا ٱلْ أَنْهَٰرُ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْ مِيعَادَ
But those who have feared their Lord - for them are chambers, above them chambers built high, beneath which rivers flow. [This is] the promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in [His] promise.
39:24
أَ فَ مَن يَتَّقِى بِ وَجْهِ هِۦ سُوٓءَ ٱلْ عَذَابِ يَوْمَ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ وَ قِيلَ لِ ل ظَّٰلِمِينَ ذُوقُ وا۟ مَا كُن تُمْ تَكْسِبُ ونَ
Then is he who will shield with his face the worst of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection [like one secure from it]? And it will be said to the wrongdoers, "Taste what you used to earn."
39:28
قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّا غَيْرَ ذِى عِوَجٍ لَّعَلَّ هُمْ يَتَّقُ ونَ
[It is] an Arabic Qur'an, without any deviance that they might become righteous.
39:33
وَ ٱلَّذِى جَآءَ بِ ٱل صِّدْقِ وَ صَدَّقَ بِ هِۦٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْ مُتَّقُونَ
And the one who has brought the truth and [they who] believed in it - those are the righteous.
39:57
أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هَدَىٰ نِى لَ كُن تُ مِنَ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
Or [lest] it say, "If only Allah had guided me, I would have been among the righteous."
39:61
وَ يُنَجِّى ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ بِ مَفَازَتِ هِمْ لَا يَمَسُّ هُمُ ٱل سُّوٓءُ وَ لَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُ ونَ
And Allah will save those who feared Him by their attainment; no evil will touch them, nor will they grieve.
39:73
وَ سِيقَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ رَبَّ هُمْ إِلَى ٱلْ جَنَّةِ زُمَرًا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُ و هَا وَ فُتِحَتْ أَبْوَٰبُ هَا وَ قَالَ لَ هُمْ خَزَنَتُ هَا سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْ كُمْ طِبْ تُمْ فَ ٱدْخُلُ و هَا خَٰلِدِينَ
But those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups until, when they reach it while its gates have been opened and its keepers say, "Peace be upon you; you have become pure; so enter it to abide eternally therein," [they will enter].
3:102
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِ هِۦ وَ لَا تَمُوتُ نَّ إِلَّا وَ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
3:115
وَ مَا يَفْعَلُ وا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَ لَن يُكْفَرُ و هُ وَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
And whatever good they do - never will it be removed from them. And Allah is Knowing of the righteous.
3:120
إِن تَمْسَسْ كُمْ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْ هُمْ وَ إِن تُصِبْ كُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَفْرَحُ وا۟ بِ هَا وَ إِن تَصْبِرُ وا۟ وَ تَتَّقُ وا۟ لَا يَضُرُّ كُمْ كَيْدُ هُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِ مَا يَعْمَلُ ونَ مُحِيطٌ
If good touches you, it distresses them; but if harm strikes you, they rejoice at it. And if you are patient and fear Allah, their plot will not harm you at all. Indeed, Allah is encompassing of what they do.
3:123
وَ لَ قَدْ نَصَرَ كُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِ بَدْرٍ وَ أَنتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تَشْكُرُ ونَ
And already had Allah given you victory at [the battle of] Badr while you were few in number. Then fear Allah; perhaps you will be grateful.
3:125
بَلَىٰٓ إِن تَصْبِرُ وا۟ وَ تَتَّقُ وا۟ وَ يَأْتُ و كُم مِّن فَوْرِ هِمْ هَٰذَا يُمْدِدْ كُمْ رَبُّ كُم بِ خَمْسَةِ ءَالَٰفٍ مِّنَ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِينَ
Yes, if you remain patient and conscious of Allah and the enemy come upon you [attacking] in rage, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels having marks [of distinction]
3:130
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَأْكُلُ وا۟ ٱل رِّبَوٰٓا۟ أَضْعَٰفًا مُّضَٰعَفَةً وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُفْلِحُ ونَ
O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful.
3:131
وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱل نَّارَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُعِدَّتْ لِ لْ كَٰفِرِينَ
And fear the Fire, which has been prepared for the disbelievers.
3:133
وَ سَارِعُ وٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّ كُمْ وَ جَنَّةٍ عَرْضُ هَا ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous
3:138
هَٰذَا بَيَانٌ لِّ ل نَّاسِ وَ هُدًى وَ مَوْعِظَةٌ لِّ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
This [Qur'an] is a clear statement to [all] the people and a guidance and instruction for those conscious of Allah.
3:15
قُلْ أَ ؤُنَبِّئُ كُم بِ خَيْرٍ مِّن ذَٰلِكُمْ لِ لَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ عِندَ رَبِّ هِمْ جَنَّٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِ هَا ٱلْ أَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِي هَا وَ أَزْوَٰجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ وَ رِضْوَٰنٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِ ٱلْ عِبَادِ
Say, "Shall I inform you of [something] better than that? For those who fear Allah will be gardens in the presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval from Allah. And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants -
3:172
ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَجَابُ وا۟ لِ لَّهِ وَ ٱل رَّسُولِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَآ أَصَابَ هُمُ ٱلْ قَرْحُ لِ لَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُ وا۟ مِنْ هُمْ وَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
Those [believers] who responded to Allah and the Messenger after injury had struck them. For those who did good among them and feared Allah is a great reward -
3:179
مَّا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِ يَذَرَ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْ هِ حَتَّىٰ يَمِيزَ ٱلْ خَبِيثَ مِنَ ٱل طَّيِّبِ وَ مَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِ يُطْلِعَ كُمْ عَلَى ٱلْ غَيْبِ وَ لَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَجْتَبِى مِن رُّسُلِ هِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ فَ ـَٔامِنُ وا۟ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ رُسُلِ هِۦ وَ إِن تُؤْمِنُ وا۟ وَ تَتَّقُ وا۟ فَ لَ كُمْ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
Allah would not leave the believers in that [state] you are in [presently] until He separates the evil from the good. Nor would Allah reveal to you the unseen. But [instead], Allah chooses of His messengers whom He wills, so believe in Allah and His messengers. And if you believe and fear Him, then for you is a great reward.
3:186
لَ تُبْلَوُ نَّ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِ كُمْ وَ أَنفُسِ كُمْ وَ لَ تَسْمَعُ نَّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُ وا۟ ٱلْ كِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِ كُمْ وَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُ وٓا۟ أَذًى كَثِيرًا وَ إِن تَصْبِرُ وا۟ وَ تَتَّقُ وا۟ فَ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ ٱلْ أُمُورِ
You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination.
3:198
لَٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ رَبَّ هُمْ لَ هُمْ جَنَّٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِ هَا ٱلْ أَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِي هَا نُزُلًا مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَ مَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لِّ لْ أَبْرَارِ
But those who feared their Lord will have gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein, as accommodation from Allah. And that which is with Allah is best for the righteous.
3:200
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱصْبِرُ وا۟ وَ صَابِرُ وا۟ وَ رَابِطُ وا۟ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُفْلِحُ ونَ
O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.
3:28
لَّا يَتَّخِذِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلْ كَٰفِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَ مَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَ لَيْسَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ فِى شَىْءٍ إِلَّآ أَن تَتَّقُ وا۟ مِنْ هُمْ تُقَىٰةً وَ يُحَذِّرُ كُمُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسَ هُۥ وَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْ مَصِيرُ
Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah, except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination.
3:50
وَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّ مَا بَيْنَ يَدَىَّ مِنَ ٱل تَّوْرَىٰةِ وَ لِ أُحِلَّ لَ كُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى حُرِّمَ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ جِئْ تُ كُم بِ ـَٔايَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّ كُمْ فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me.
3:76
بَلَىٰ مَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِ عَهْدِ هِۦ وَ ٱتَّقَىٰ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
But yes, whoever fulfills his commitment and fears Allah - then indeed, Allah loves those who fear Him.
41:18
وَ نَجَّيْ نَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ كَانُ وا۟ يَتَّقُ ونَ
And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah.
43:35
وَ زُخْرُفًا وَ إِن كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْ حَيَوٰةِ ٱل دُّنْيَا وَ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّ كَ لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.
43:63
وَ لَمَّا جَآءَ عِيسَىٰ بِ ٱلْ بَيِّنَٰتِ قَالَ قَدْ جِئْ تُ كُم بِ ٱلْ حِكْمَةِ وَ لِ أُبَيِّنَ لَ كُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى تَخْتَلِفُ ونَ فِي هِ فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
And when Jesus brought clear proofs, he said, "I have come to you with wisdom and to make clear to you some of that over which you differ, so fear Allah and obey me.
43:67
ٱلْ أَخِلَّآءُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَعْضُ هُمْ لِ بَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous
44:51
إِنَّ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ فِى مَقَامٍ أَمِينٍ
Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place;
45:19
إِنَّ هُمْ لَن يُغْنُ وا۟ عَن كَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا وَ إِنَّ ٱل ظَّٰلِمِينَ بَعْضُ هُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ وَ ٱللَّهُ وَلِىُّ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
Indeed, they will never avail you against Allah at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another; but Allah is the protector of the righteous.
47:15
مَّثَلُ ٱلْ جَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْ مُتَّقُونَ فِي هَآ أَنْهَٰرٌ مِّن مَّآءٍ غَيْرِ ءَاسِنٍ وَ أَنْهَٰرٌ مِّن لَّبَنٍ لَّمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُ هُۥ وَ أَنْهَٰرٌ مِّنْ خَمْرٍ لَّذَّةٍ لِّ ل شَّٰرِبِينَ وَ أَنْهَٰرٌ مِّنْ عَسَلٍ مُّصَفًّى وَ لَ هُمْ فِي هَا مِن كُلِّ ٱل ثَّمَرَٰتِ وَ مَغْفِرَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّ هِمْ كَ مَنْ هُوَ خَٰلِدٌ فِى ٱل نَّارِ وَ سُقُ وا۟ مَآءً حَمِيمًا فَ قَطَّعَ أَمْعَآءَ هُمْ
Is the description of Paradise, which the righteous are promised, wherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey, in which they will have from all [kinds of] fruits and forgiveness from their Lord, like [that of] those who abide eternally in the Fire and are given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines?
47:36
إِنَّ مَا ٱلْ حَيَوٰةُ ٱل دُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَ لَهْوٌ وَ إِن تُؤْمِنُ وا۟ وَ تَتَّقُ وا۟ يُؤْتِ كُمْ أُجُورَ كُمْ وَ لَا يَسْـَٔلْ كُمْ أَمْوَٰلَ كُمْ
[This] worldly life is only amusement and diversion. And if you believe and fear Allah, He will give you your rewards and not ask you for your properties.
49:1
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تُقَدِّمُ وا۟ بَيْنَ يَدَىِ ٱللَّهِ وَ رَسُولِ هِۦ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
O you who have believed, do not put [yourselves] before Allah and His Messenger but fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
49:10
إِنَّ مَا ٱلْ مُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَ أَصْلِحُ وا۟ بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْ كُمْ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُرْحَمُ ونَ
The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.
49:12
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱجْتَنِبُ وا۟ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱل ظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ ٱل ظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ وَ لَا تَجَسَّسُ وا۟ وَ لَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُ كُم بَعْضًا أَ يُحِبُّ أَحَدُ كُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِي هِ مَيْتًا فَ كَرِهْ تُمُو هُ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ رَّحِيمٌ
O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
4:1
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱل نَّاسُ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ رَبَّ كُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ كُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ وَ خَلَقَ مِنْ هَا زَوْجَ هَا وَ بَثَّ مِنْ هُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَ نِسَآءً وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى تَسَآءَلُ ونَ بِ هِۦ وَ ٱلْ أَرْحَامَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْ كُمْ رَقِيبًا
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
4:128
وَ إِنِ ٱمْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنۢ بَعْلِ هَا نُشُوزًا أَوْ إِعْرَاضًا فَ لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْ هِمَآ أَن يُصْلِحَ ا بَيْنَ هُمَا صُلْحًا وَ ٱل صُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ وَ أُحْضِرَتِ ٱلْ أَنفُسُ ٱل شُّحَّ وَ إِن تُحْسِنُ وا۟ وَ تَتَّقُ وا۟ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِ مَا تَعْمَلُ ونَ خَبِيرًا
And if a woman fears from her husband contempt or evasion, there is no sin upon them if they make terms of settlement between them - and settlement is best. And present in [human] souls is stinginess. But if you do good and fear Allah - then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.
4:129
وَ لَن تَسْتَطِيعُ وٓا۟ أَن تَعْدِلُ وا۟ بَيْنَ ٱل نِّسَآءِ وَ لَوْ حَرَصْ تُمْ فَ لَا تَمِيلُ وا۟ كُلَّ ٱلْ مَيْلِ فَ تَذَرُ و هَا كَ ٱلْ مُعَلَّقَةِ وَ إِن تُصْلِحُ وا۟ وَ تَتَّقُ وا۟ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
And you will never be able to be equal [in feeling] between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging. And if you amend [your affairs] and fear Allah - then indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.
4:131
وَ لِ لَّهِ مَا فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ مَا فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ لَ قَدْ وَصَّيْ نَا ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُ وا۟ ٱلْ كِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِ كُمْ وَ إِيَّاكُمْ أَنِ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ إِن تَكْفُرُ وا۟ فَ إِنَّ لِ لَّهِ مَا فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ مَا فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ كَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَنِيًّا حَمِيدًا
And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And We have instructed those who were given the Scripture before you and yourselves to fear Allah. But if you disbelieve - then to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And ever is Allah Free of need and Praiseworthy.
4:77
أَ لَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ قِيلَ لَ هُمْ كُفُّ وٓا۟ أَيْدِيَ كُمْ وَ أَقِيمُ وا۟ ٱل صَّلَوٰةَ وَ ءَاتُ وا۟ ٱل زَّكَوٰةَ فَ لَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْ هِمُ ٱلْ قِتَالُ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْ هُمْ يَخْشَ وْنَ ٱل نَّاسَ كَ خَشْيَةِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْ أَشَدَّ خَشْيَةً وَ قَالُ وا۟ رَبَّ نَا لِ مَ كَتَبْ تَ عَلَيْ نَا ٱلْ قِتَالَ لَوْلَآ أَخَّرْ تَ نَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ قُلْ مَتَٰعُ ٱل دُّنْيَا قَلِيلٌ وَ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّ مَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰ وَ لَا تُظْلَمُ ونَ فَتِيلًا
Have you not seen those who were told, "Restrain your hands [from fighting] and establish prayer and give zakah"? But then when fighting was ordained for them, at once a party of them feared men as they fear Allah or with [even] greater fear. They said, "Our Lord, why have You decreed upon us fighting? If only You had postponed [it for] us for a short time." Say, The enjoyment of this world is little, and the Hereafter is better for he who fears Allah. And injustice will not be done to you, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed]."
4:9
وَ لْ يَخْشَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُ وا۟ مِنْ خَلْفِ هِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَٰفًا خَافُ وا۟ عَلَيْ هِمْ فَ لْ يَتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ لْ يَقُولُ وا۟ قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا
And let those [executors and guardians] fear [injustice] as if they [themselves] had left weak offspring behind and feared for them. So let them fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice.
50:31
وَ أُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْ جَنَّةُ لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ
And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,
51:15
إِنَّ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَ عُيُونٍ
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs,
52:17
إِنَّ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَ نَعِيمٍ
Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure,
53:32
ٱلَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُ ونَ كَبَٰٓئِرَ ٱلْ إِثْمِ وَ ٱلْ فَوَٰحِشَ إِلَّا ٱل لَّمَمَ إِنَّ رَبَّ كَ وَٰسِعُ ٱلْ مَغْفِرَةِ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِ كُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَ كُم مِّنَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ إِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِ كُمْ فَ لَا تُزَكُّ وٓا۟ أَنفُسَ كُمْ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِ مَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰٓ
Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.
54:54
إِنَّ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَ نَهَرٍ
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers,
57:28
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ءَامِنُ وا۟ بِ رَسُولِ هِۦ يُؤْتِ كُمْ كِفْلَيْنِ مِن رَّحْمَتِ هِۦ وَ يَجْعَل لَّ كُمْ نُورًا تَمْشُ ونَ بِ هِۦ وَ يَغْفِرْ لَ كُمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
O you who have believed, fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will [then] give you a double portion of His mercy and make for you a light by which you will walk and forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
58:9
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وٓا۟ إِذَا تَنَٰجَيْ تُمْ فَ لَا تَتَنَٰجَ وْا۟ بِ ٱلْ إِثْمِ وَ ٱلْ عُدْوَٰنِ وَ مَعْصِيَتِ ٱل رَّسُولِ وَ تَنَٰجَ وْا۟ بِ ٱلْ بِرِّ وَ ٱل تَّقْوَىٰ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْ هِ تُحْشَرُ ونَ
O you who have believed, when you converse privately, do not converse about sin and aggression and disobedience to the Messenger but converse about righteousness and piety. And fear Allah, to whom you will be gathered.
59:18
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ لْ تَنظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ لِ غَدٍ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِ مَا تَعْمَلُ ونَ
O you who have believed, fear Allah. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow - and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do.
59:7
مَّآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِ هِۦ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْ قُرَىٰ فَ لِ لَّهِ وَ لِ ل رَّسُولِ وَ لِ ذِى ٱلْ قُرْبَىٰ وَ ٱلْ يَتَٰمَىٰ وَ ٱلْ مَسَٰكِينِ وَ ٱبْنِ ٱل سَّبِيلِ كَىْ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةًۢ بَيْنَ ٱلْ أَغْنِيَآءِ مِن كُمْ وَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰ كُمُ ٱل رَّسُولُ فَ خُذُ و هُ وَ مَا نَهَىٰ كُمْ عَنْ هُ فَ ٱنتَهُ وا۟ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْ عِقَابِ
And what Allah restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns - it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and orphans and the [stranded] traveler - so that it will not be a perpetual distribution among the rich from among you. And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
5:100
قُل لَّا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْ خَبِيثُ وَ ٱل طَّيِّبُ وَ لَوْ أَعْجَبَ كَ كَثْرَةُ ٱلْ خَبِيثِ فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَٰٓ أُو۟لِى ٱلْ أَلْبَٰبِ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُفْلِحُ ونَ
Say, "Not equal are the evil and the good, although the abundance of evil might impress you." So fear Allah, O you of understanding, that you may be successful.
5:108
ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُ وا۟ بِ ٱل شَّهَٰدَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِ هَآ أَوْ يَخَافُ وٓا۟ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَٰنٌۢ بَعْدَ أَيْمَٰنِ هِمْ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱسْمَعُ وا۟ وَ ٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْ قَوْمَ ٱلْ فَٰسِقِينَ
That is more likely that they will give testimony according to its [true] objective, or [at least] they would fear that [other] oaths might be taken after their oaths. And fear Allah and listen; and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.
5:11
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱذْكُرُ وا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْ كُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُ وٓا۟ إِلَيْ كُمْ أَيْدِيَ هُمْ فَ كَفَّ أَيْدِيَ هُمْ عَن كُمْ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَ لْ يَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنُونَ
O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people determined to extend their hands [in aggression] against you, but He withheld their hands from you; and fear Allah. And upon Allah let the believers rely.
5:112
إِذْ قَالَ ٱلْ حَوَارِيُّونَ يَٰ عِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّ كَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْ نَا مَآئِدَةً مِّنَ ٱل سَّمَآءِ قَالَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُن تُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
[And remember] when the disciples said, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven? [Jesus] said," Fear Allah, if you should be believers."
5:2
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تُحِلُّ وا۟ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ وَ لَا ٱل شَّهْرَ ٱلْ حَرَامَ وَ لَا ٱلْ هَدْىَ وَ لَا ٱلْ قَلَٰٓئِدَ وَ لَآ ءَآمِّينَ ٱلْ بَيْتَ ٱلْ حَرَامَ يَبْتَغُ ونَ فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّ هِمْ وَ رِضْوَٰنًا وَ إِذَا حَلَلْ تُمْ فَ ٱصْطَادُ وا۟ وَ لَا يَجْرِمَ نَّ كُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّ و كُمْ عَنِ ٱلْ مَسْجِدِ ٱلْ حَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُ وا۟ وَ تَعَاوَنُ وا۟ عَلَى ٱلْ بِرِّ وَ ٱل تَّقْوَىٰ وَ لَا تَعَاوَنُ وا۟ عَلَى ٱلْ إِثْمِ وَ ٱلْ عُدْوَٰنِ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْ عِقَابِ
O you who have believed, do not violate the rites of Allah or [the sanctity of] the sacred month or [neglect the marking of] the sacrificial animals and garlanding [them] or [violate the safety of] those coming to the Sacred House seeking bounty from their Lord and [His] approval. But when you come out of ihram, then [you may] hunt. And do not let the hatred of a people for having obstructed you from al-Masjid al-Haram lead you to transgress. And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
5:27
وَ ٱتْلُ عَلَيْ هِمْ نَبَأَ ٱبْنَىْ ءَادَمَ بِ ٱلْ حَقِّ إِذْ قَرَّبَ ا قُرْبَانًا فَ تُقُبِّلَ مِنْ أَحَدِ هِمَا وَ لَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ ٱلْ ءَاخَرِ قَالَ لَ أَقْتُلَ نَّ كَ قَالَ إِنَّ مَا يَتَقَبَّلُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
And recite to them the story of Adam's two sons, in truth, when they both offered a sacrifice [to Allah], and it was accepted from one of them but was not accepted from the other. Said [the latter], "I will surely kill you." Said [the former], "Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous [who fear Him].
5:35
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱبْتَغُ وٓا۟ إِلَيْ هِ ٱلْ وَسِيلَةَ وَ جَٰهِدُ وا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ هِۦ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُفْلِحُ ونَ
O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means [of nearness] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed.
5:4
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ مَاذَآ أُحِلَّ لَ هُمْ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَ كُمُ ٱل طَّيِّبَٰتُ وَ مَا عَلَّمْ تُم مِّنَ ٱلْ جَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُ ونَ هُنَّ مِ مَّا عَلَّمَ كُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَ كُلُ وا۟ مِ مَّآ أَمْسَكْ نَ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ ٱذْكُرُ وا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْ هِ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْ حِسَابِ
They ask you, [O Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are [all] good foods and [game caught by] what you have trained of hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah." Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
5:46
وَ قَفَّيْ نَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِ هِم بِ عِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّ مَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ هِ مِنَ ٱل تَّوْرَىٰةِ وَ ءَاتَيْ نَٰ هُ ٱلْ إِنجِيلَ فِي هِ هُدًى وَ نُورٌ وَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّ مَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ هِ مِنَ ٱل تَّوْرَىٰةِ وَ هُدًى وَ مَوْعِظَةً لِّ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.
5:57
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُ وا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ دِينَ كُمْ هُزُوًا وَ لَعِبًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُ وا۟ ٱلْ كِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِ كُمْ وَ ٱلْ كُفَّارَ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُن تُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
O you who have believed, take not those who have taken your religion in ridicule and amusement among the ones who were given the Scripture before you nor the disbelievers as allies. And fear Allah, if you should [truly] be believers.
5:65
وَ لَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْ كِتَٰبِ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ لَ كَفَّرْ نَا عَنْ هُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِ هِمْ وَ لَ أَدْخَلْ نَٰ هُمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱل نَّعِيمِ
And if only the People of the Scripture had believed and feared Allah, We would have removed from them their misdeeds and admitted them to Gardens of Pleasure.
5:7
وَ ٱذْكُرُ وا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ مِيثَٰقَ هُ ٱلَّذِى وَاثَقَ كُم بِ هِۦٓ إِذْ قُلْ تُمْ سَمِعْ نَا وَ أَطَعْ نَا وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِ ذَاتِ ٱل صُّدُورِ
And remember the favor of Allah upon you and His covenant with which He bound you when you said, "We hear and we obey"; and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.
5:8
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ كُونُ وا۟ قَوَّٰمِينَ لِ لَّهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِ ٱلْ قِسْطِ وَ لَا يَجْرِمَ نَّ كُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَ لَّا تَعْدِلُ وا۟ ٱعْدِلُ وا۟ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِ ل تَّقْوَىٰ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِ مَا تَعْمَلُ ونَ
O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do.
5:88
وَ كُلُ وا۟ مِ مَّا رَزَقَ كُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَٰلًا طَيِّبًا وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِ هِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ
And eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.
5:93
لَيْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ عَمِلُ وا۟ ٱل صَّٰلِحَٰتِ جُنَاحٌ فِي مَا طَعِمُ وٓا۟ إِذَا مَا ٱتَّقَ وا۟ وَّ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ عَمِلُ وا۟ ٱل صَّٰلِحَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَ وا۟ وَّ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَ وا۟ وَّ أَحْسَنُ وا۟ وَ ٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْ مُحْسِنِينَ
There is not upon those who believe and do righteousness [any] blame concerning what they have eaten [in the past] if they [now] fear Allah and believe and do righteous deeds, and then fear Allah and believe, and then fear Allah and do good; and Allah loves the doers of good.
5:96
أُحِلَّ لَ كُمْ صَيْدُ ٱلْ بَحْرِ وَ طَعَامُ هُۥ مَتَٰعًا لَّ كُمْ وَ لِ ل سَّيَّارَةِ وَ حُرِّمَ عَلَيْ كُمْ صَيْدُ ٱلْ بَرِّ مَا دُمْ تُمْ حُرُمًا وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْ هِ تُحْشَرُ ونَ
Lawful to you is game from the sea and its food as provision for you and the travelers, but forbidden to you is game from the land as long as you are in the state of ihram. And fear Allah to whom you will be gathered.
60:11
وَ إِن فَاتَ كُمْ شَىْءٌ مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِ كُمْ إِلَى ٱلْ كُفَّارِ فَ عَاقَبْ تُمْ فَ ـَٔاتُ وا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ذَهَبَتْ أَزْوَٰجُ هُم مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنفَقُ وا۟ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِ هِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ
And if you have lost any of your wives to the disbelievers and you subsequently obtain [something], then give those whose wives have gone the equivalent of what they had spent. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.
64:16
فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا ٱسْتَطَعْ تُمْ وَ ٱسْمَعُ وا۟ وَ أَطِيعُ وا۟ وَ أَنفِقُ وا۟ خَيْرًا لِّ أَنفُسِ كُمْ وَ مَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِ هِۦ فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْ مُفْلِحُونَ
So fear Allah as much as you are able and listen and obey and spend [in the way of Allah]; it is better for your selves. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful.
65:1
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱل نَّبِىُّ إِذَا طَلَّقْ تُمُ ٱل نِّسَآءَ فَ طَلِّقُ و هُنَّ لِ عِدَّتِ هِنَّ وَ أَحْصُ وا۟ ٱلْ عِدَّةَ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ كُمْ لَا تُخْرِجُ و هُنَّ مِنۢ بُيُوتِ هِنَّ وَ لَا يَخْرُجْ نَ إِلَّآ أَن يَأْتِي نَ بِ فَٰحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ وَ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّهِ وَ مَن يَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ ٱللَّهِ فَ قَدْ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَ هُۥ لَا تَدْرِى لَعَلَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحْدِثُ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ أَمْرًا
O Prophet, when you [Muslims] divorce women, divorce them for [the commencement of] their waiting period and keep count of the waiting period, and fear Allah, your Lord. Do not turn them out of their [husbands'] houses, nor should they [themselves] leave [during that period] unless they are committing a clear immorality. And those are the limits [set by] Allah. And whoever transgresses the limits of Allah has certainly wronged himself. You know not; perhaps Allah will bring about after that a [different] matter.
65:10
أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَ هُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَٰٓ أُو۟لِى ٱلْ أَلْبَٰبِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ قَدْ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْ كُمْ ذِكْرًا
Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment; so fear Allah, O you of understanding who have believed. Allah has sent down to you the Qur'an.
65:2
فَ إِذَا بَلَغْ نَ أَجَلَ هُنَّ فَ أَمْسِكُ و هُنَّ بِ مَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ فَارِقُ و هُنَّ بِ مَعْرُوفٍ وَ أَشْهِدُ وا۟ ذَوَىْ عَدْلٍ مِّن كُمْ وَ أَقِيمُ وا۟ ٱل شَّهَٰدَةَ لِ لَّهِ ذَٰلِكُمْ يُوعَظُ بِ هِۦ مَن كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱلْ يَوْمِ ٱلْ ءَاخِرِ وَ مَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّ هُۥ مَخْرَجًا
And when they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or part with them according to acceptable terms. And bring to witness two just men from among you and establish the testimony for [the acceptance of] Allah. That is instructed to whoever should believe in Allah and the Last day. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out
65:4
وَ ٱلَّٰٓـِٔى يَئِسْ نَ مِنَ ٱلْ مَحِيضِ مِن نِّسَآئِ كُمْ إِنِ ٱرْتَبْ تُمْ فَ عِدَّتُ هُنَّ ثَلَٰثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَ ٱلَّٰٓـِٔى لَمْ يَحِضْ نَ وَ أُو۟لَٰتُ ٱلْ أَحْمَالِ أَجَلُ هُنَّ أَن يَضَعْ نَ حَمْلَ هُنَّ وَ مَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّ هُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِ هِۦ يُسْرًا
And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.
65:5
ذَٰلِكَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ أَنزَلَ هُۥٓ إِلَيْ كُمْ وَ مَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يُكَفِّرْ عَنْ هُ سَيِّـَٔاتِ هِۦ وَ يُعْظِمْ لَ هُۥٓ أَجْرًا
That is the command of Allah, which He has sent down to you; and whoever fears Allah - He will remove for him his misdeeds and make great for him his reward.
68:34
إِنَّ لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ عِندَ رَبِّ هِمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱل نَّعِيمِ
Indeed, for the righteous with their Lord are the Gardens of Pleasure.
69:48
وَ إِنَّ هُۥ لَ تَذْكِرَةٌ لِّ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous.
6:153
وَ أَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطِ ى مُسْتَقِيمًا فَ ٱتَّبِعُ و هُ وَ لَا تَتَّبِعُ وا۟ ٱل سُّبُلَ فَ تَفَرَّقَ بِ كُمْ عَن سَبِيلِ هِۦ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّىٰ كُم بِ هِۦ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تَتَّقُ ونَ
And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way. This has He instructed you that you may become righteous.
6:155
وَ هَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْ نَٰ هُ مُبَارَكٌ فَ ٱتَّبِعُ و هُ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُرْحَمُ ونَ
And this [Qur'an] is a Book We have revealed [which is] blessed, so follow it and fear Allah that you may receive mercy.
6:32
وَ مَا ٱلْ حَيَوٰةُ ٱل دُّنْيَآ إِلَّا لَعِبٌ وَ لَهْوٌ وَ لَ ل دَّارُ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّ لَّذِينَ يَتَّقُ ونَ أَ فَ لَا تَعْقِلُ ونَ
And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah, so will you not reason?
6:51
وَ أَنذِرْ بِ هِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُ ونَ أَن يُحْشَرُ وٓا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ هِمْ لَيْسَ لَ هُم مِّن دُونِ هِۦ وَلِىٌّ وَ لَا شَفِيعٌ لَّعَلَّ هُمْ يَتَّقُ ونَ
And warn by the Qur'an those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord - for them besides Him will be no protector and no intercessor - that they might become righteous.
6:69
وَ مَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُ ونَ مِنْ حِسَابِ هِم مِّن شَىْءٍ وَ لَٰكِن ذِكْرَىٰ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَتَّقُ ونَ
And those who fear Allah are not held accountable for the disbelievers at all, but [only for] a reminder - that perhaps they will fear Him.
6:72
وَ أَنْ أَقِيمُ وا۟ ٱل صَّلَوٰةَ وَ ٱتَّقُ و هُ وَ هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْ هِ تُحْشَرُ ونَ
And to establish prayer and fear Him." And it is He to whom you will be gathered.
71:3
أَنِ ٱعْبُدُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱتَّقُ و هُ وَ أَطِيعُ و نِ
[Saying], 'Worship Allah, fear Him and obey me.
73:17
فَ كَيْفَ تَتَّقُ ونَ إِن كَفَرْ تُمْ يَوْمًا يَجْعَلُ ٱلْ وِلْدَٰنَ شِيبًا
Then how can you fear, if you disbelieve, a Day that will make the children white- haired?
77:41
إِنَّ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَٰلٍ وَ عُيُونٍ
Indeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs
78:31
إِنَّ لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا
Indeed, for the righteous is attainment -
7:128
قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِ قَوْمِ هِ ٱسْتَعِينُ وا۟ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱصْبِرُ وٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱلْ أَرْضَ لِ لَّهِ يُورِثُ هَا مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِ هِۦ وَ ٱلْ عَٰقِبَةُ لِ لْ مُتَّقِينَ
Said Moses to his people, "Seek help through Allah and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah. He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous."
7:156
وَ ٱكْتُبْ لَ نَا فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱل دُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَ فِى ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةِ إِنَّ ا هُدْ نَآ إِلَيْ كَ قَالَ عَذَابِ ىٓ أُصِيبُ بِ هِۦ مَنْ أَشَآءُ وَ رَحْمَتِ ى وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ فَ سَ أَكْتُبُ هَا لِ لَّذِينَ يَتَّقُ ونَ وَ يُؤْتُ ونَ ٱل زَّكَوٰةَ وَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِ ـَٔايَٰتِ نَا يُؤْمِنُ ونَ
And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You." [Allah] said, "My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things." So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakah and those who believe in Our verses -
7:164
وَ إِذْ قَالَتْ أُمَّةٌ مِّنْ هُمْ لِ مَ تَعِظُ ونَ قَوْمًا ٱللَّهُ مُهْلِكُ هُمْ أَوْ مُعَذِّبُ هُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا قَالُ وا۟ مَعْذِرَةً إِلَىٰ رَبِّ كُمْ وَ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَتَّقُ ونَ
And when a community among them said, "Why do you advise [or warn] a people whom Allah is [about] to destroy or to punish with a severe punishment?" they [the advisors] said, "To be absolved before your Lord and perhaps they may fear Him."
7:169
فَ خَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ هِمْ خَلْفٌ وَرِثُ وا۟ ٱلْ كِتَٰبَ يَأْخُذُ ونَ عَرَضَ هَٰذَا ٱلْ أَدْنَىٰ وَ يَقُولُ ونَ سَ يُغْفَرُ لَ نَا وَ إِن يَأْتِ هِمْ عَرَضٌ مِّثْلُ هُۥ يَأْخُذُ و هُ أَ لَمْ يُؤْخَذْ عَلَيْ هِم مِّيثَٰقُ ٱلْ كِتَٰبِ أَن لَّا يَقُولُ وا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلْ حَقَّ وَ دَرَسُ وا۟ مَا فِي هِ وَ ٱل دَّارُ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّ لَّذِينَ يَتَّقُ ونَ أَ فَ لَا تَعْقِلُ ونَ
And there followed them successors who inherited the Scripture [while] taking the commodities of this lower life and saying, "It will be forgiven for us." And if an offer like it comes to them, they will [again] take it. Was not the covenant of the Scripture taken from them that they would not say about Allah except the truth, and they studied what was in it? And the home of the Hereafter is better for those who fear Allah, so will you not use reason?
7:171
وَ إِذْ نَتَقْ نَا ٱلْ جَبَلَ فَوْقَ هُمْ كَأَنَّ هُۥ ظُلَّةٌ وَ ظَنُّ وٓا۟ أَنَّ هُۥ وَاقِعٌۢ بِ هِمْ خُذُ وا۟ مَآ ءَاتَيْ نَٰ كُم بِ قُوَّةٍ وَ ٱذْكُرُ وا۟ مَا فِي هِ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تَتَّقُ ونَ
And [mention] when We raised the mountain above them as if it was a dark cloud and they were certain that it would fall upon them, [and Allah said], "Take what We have given you with determination and remember what is in it that you might fear Allah."
7:201
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ إِذَا مَسَّ هُمْ طَٰٓئِفٌ مِّنَ ٱل شَّيْطَٰنِ تَذَكَّرُ وا۟ فَ إِذَا هُم مُّبْصِرُونَ
Indeed, those who fear Allah - when an impulse touches them from Satan, they remember [Him] and at once they have insight.
7:35
يَٰ بَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ إِ مَّا يَأْتِيَ نَّ كُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّن كُمْ يَقُصُّ ونَ عَلَيْ كُمْ ءَايَٰتِ ى فَ مَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰ وَ أَصْلَحَ فَ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْ هِمْ وَ لَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُ ونَ
O children of Adam, if there come to you messengers from among you relating to you My verses, then whoever fears Allah and reforms - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
7:63
أَ وَ عَجِبْ تُمْ أَن جَآءَ كُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِّن رَّبِّ كُمْ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّن كُمْ لِ يُنذِرَ كُمْ وَ لِ تَتَّقُ وا۟ وَ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُرْحَمُ ونَ
Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you and that you may fear Allah so you might receive mercy."
7:65
وَ إِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَا هُمْ هُودًا قَالَ يَٰ قَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَ كُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُ هُۥٓ أَ فَ لَا تَتَّقُ ونَ
And to the 'Aad [We sent] their brother Hud. He said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. Then will you not fear Him?"
7:96
وَ لَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْ قُرَىٰٓ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ ٱتَّقَ وْا۟ لَ فَتَحْ نَا عَلَيْ هِم بَرَكَٰتٍ مِّنَ ٱل سَّمَآءِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ لَٰكِن كَذَّبُ وا۟ فَ أَخَذْ نَٰ هُم بِ مَا كَانُ وا۟ يَكْسِبُ ونَ
And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning."
8:1
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱلْ أَنفَالِ قُلِ ٱلْ أَنفَالُ لِ لَّهِ وَ ٱل رَّسُولِ فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَصْلِحُ وا۟ ذَاتَ بَيْنِ كُمْ وَ أَطِيعُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ رَسُولَ هُۥٓ إِن كُن تُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the bounties [of war]. Say, "The [decision concerning] bounties is for Allah and the Messenger." So fear Allah and amend that which is between you and obey Allah and His Messenger, if you should be believers.
8:25
وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ فِتْنَةً لَّا تُصِيبَ نَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُ وا۟ مِن كُمْ خَآصَّةً وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْ عِقَابِ
And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively, and know that Allah is severe in penalty.
8:29
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وٓا۟ إِن تَتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّ كُمْ فُرْقَانًا وَ يُكَفِّرْ عَن كُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِ كُمْ وَ يَغْفِرْ لَ كُمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْ فَضْلِ ٱلْ عَظِيمِ
O you who have believed, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion and will remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
8:34
وَ مَا لَ هُمْ أَ لَّا يُعَذِّبَ هُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَ هُمْ يَصُدُّ ونَ عَنِ ٱلْ مَسْجِدِ ٱلْ حَرَامِ وَ مَا كَانُ وٓا۟ أَوْلِيَآءَ هُۥٓ إِنْ أَوْلِيَآؤُ هُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْ مُتَّقُونَ وَ لَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ هُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُ ونَ
But why should Allah not punish them while they obstruct [people] from al-Masjid al- Haram and they were not [fit to be] its guardians? Its [true] guardians are not but the righteous, but most of them do not know.
8:56
ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَد تَّ مِنْ هُمْ ثُمَّ يَنقُضُ ونَ عَهْدَ هُمْ فِى كُلِّ مَرَّةٍ وَ هُمْ لَا يَتَّقُ ونَ
The ones with whom you made a treaty but then they break their pledge every time, and they do not fear Allah.
8:69
فَ كُلُ وا۟ مِ مَّا غَنِمْ تُمْ حَلَٰلًا طَيِّبًا وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
So consume what you have taken of war booty [as being] lawful and good, and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
92:5
فَ أَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَ ٱتَّقَىٰ
As for he who gives and fears Allah
9:115
وَ مَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِ يُضِلَّ قَوْمًۢا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَىٰ هُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُبَيِّنَ لَ هُم مَّا يَتَّقُ ونَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
And Allah would not let a people stray after He has guided them until He makes clear to them what they should avoid. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things.
9:119
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ كُونُ وا۟ مَعَ ٱل صَّٰدِقِينَ
O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with those who are true.
9:123
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ قَٰتِلُ وا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يَلُ ونَ كُم مِّنَ ٱلْ كُفَّارِ وَ لْ يَجِدُ وا۟ فِي كُمْ غِلْظَةً وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
O you who have believed, fight those adjacent to you of the disbelievers and let them find in you harshness. And know that Allah is with the righteous.
9:36
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ ٱل شُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضَ مِنْ هَآ أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ذَٰلِكَ ٱل دِّينُ ٱلْ قَيِّمُ فَ لَا تَظْلِمُ وا۟ فِي هِنَّ أَنفُسَ كُمْ وَ قَٰتِلُ وا۟ ٱلْ مُشْرِكِينَ كَآفَّةً كَ مَا يُقَٰتِلُ ونَ كُمْ كَآفَّةً وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him].
9:4
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَد تُّم مِّنَ ٱلْ مُشْرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنقُصُ و كُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَ لَمْ يُظَٰهِرُ وا۟ عَلَيْ كُمْ أَحَدًا فَ أَتِمُّ وٓا۟ إِلَيْ هِمْ عَهْدَ هُمْ إِلَىٰ مُدَّتِ هِمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term [has ended]. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him].
9:44
لَا يَسْتَـْٔذِنُ كَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُ ونَ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱلْ يَوْمِ ٱلْ ءَاخِرِ أَن يُجَٰهِدُ وا۟ بِ أَمْوَٰلِ هِمْ وَ أَنفُسِ هِمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day would not ask permission of you to be excused from striving with their wealth and their lives. And Allah is Knowing of those who fear Him.
9:7
كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِ لْ مُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَ عِندَ رَسُولِ هِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَد تُّمْ عِندَ ٱلْ مَسْجِدِ ٱلْ حَرَامِ فَ مَا ٱسْتَقَٰمُ وا۟ لَ كُمْ فَ ٱسْتَقِيمُ وا۟ لَ هُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْ مُتَّقِينَ
How can there be for the polytheists a treaty in the sight of Allah and with His Messenger, except for those with whom you made a treaty at al-Masjid al-Haram? So as long as they are upright toward you, be upright toward them. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him].
