11:77
وَ لَمَّا جَآءَتْ رُسُلُ نَا لُوطًا سِىٓءَ بِ هِمْ وَ ضَاقَ بِ هِمْ ذَرْعًا وَ قَالَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيبٌ
And when Our messengers, [the angels], came to Lot, he was anguished for them and felt for them great discomfort and said, "This is a trying day."
16:25
لِ يَحْمِلُ وٓا۟ أَوْزَارَ هُمْ كَامِلَةً يَوْمَ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ وَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُضِلُّ ونَ هُم بِ غَيْرِ عِلْمٍ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُ ونَ
That they may bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection and some of the burdens of those whom they misguide without knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.
16:59
يَتَوَٰرَىٰ مِنَ ٱلْ قَوْمِ مِن سُوٓءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِ هِۦٓ أَ يُمْسِكُ هُۥ عَلَىٰ هُونٍ أَمْ يَدُسُّ هُۥ فِى ٱل تُّرَابِ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُ ونَ
He hides himself from the people because of the ill of which he has been informed. Should he keep it in humiliation or bury it in the ground? Unquestionably, evil is what they decide.
17:32
وَ لَا تَقْرَبُ وا۟ ٱل زِّنَىٰٓ إِنَّ هُۥ كَانَ فَٰحِشَةً وَ سَآءَ سَبِيلًا
And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way.
17:7
إِنْ أَحْسَن تُمْ أَحْسَن تُمْ لِ أَنفُسِ كُمْ وَ إِنْ أَسَأْ تُمْ فَ لَ هَا فَ إِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةِ لِ يَسُۥٓـُٔ وا۟ وُجُوهَ كُمْ وَ لِ يَدْخُلُ وا۟ ٱلْ مَسْجِدَ كَ مَا دَخَلُ و هُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَ لِ يُتَبِّرُ وا۟ مَا عَلَ وْا۟ تَتْبِيرًا
[And said], "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, [you do it] to yourselves." Then when the final promise came, [We sent your enemies] to sadden your faces and to enter the temple in Jerusalem, as they entered it the first time, and to destroy what they had taken over with [total] destruction.
18:29
وَ قُلِ ٱلْ حَقُّ مِن رَّبِّ كُمْ فَ مَن شَآءَ فَ لْ يُؤْمِن وَ مَن شَآءَ فَ لْ يَكْفُرْ إِنَّ آ أَعْتَدْ نَا لِ ل ظَّٰلِمِينَ نَارًا أَحَاطَ بِ هِمْ سُرَادِقُ هَا وَ إِن يَسْتَغِيثُ وا۟ يُغَاثُ وا۟ بِ مَآءٍ كَ ٱلْ مُهْلِ يَشْوِى ٱلْ وُجُوهَ بِئْسَ ٱل شَّرَابُ وَ سَآءَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا
And say, "The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place.
20:101
خَٰلِدِينَ فِي هِ وَ سَآءَ لَ هُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ حِمْلًا
[Abiding] eternally therein, and evil it is for them on the Day of Resurrection as a load -
25:66
إِنَّ هَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَ مُقَامًا
Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence."
26:173
وَ أَمْطَرْ نَا عَلَيْ هِم مَّطَرًا فَ سَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْ مُنذَرِينَ
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.
27:58
وَ أَمْطَرْ نَا عَلَيْ هِم مَّطَرًا فَ سَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْ مُنذَرِينَ
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.
29:33
وَ لَمَّآ أَن جَآءَتْ رُسُلُ نَا لُوطًا سِىٓءَ بِ هِمْ وَ ضَاقَ بِ هِمْ ذَرْعًا وَ قَالُ وا۟ لَا تَخَفْ وَ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ ا مُنَجُّو كَ وَ أَهْلَ كَ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَ كَ كَانَتْ مِنَ ٱلْ غَٰبِرِينَ
And when Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort. They said, "Fear not, nor grieve. Indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife; she is to be of those who remain behind.
29:4
أَمْ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُ ونَ ٱل سَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن يَسْبِقُ و نَا سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُ ونَ
Or do those who do evil deeds think they can outrun Us? Evil is what they judge.
37:177
فَ إِذَا نَزَلَ بِ سَاحَتِ هِمْ فَ سَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْ مُنذَرِينَ
But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned.
3:120
إِن تَمْسَسْ كُمْ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْ هُمْ وَ إِن تُصِبْ كُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَفْرَحُ وا۟ بِ هَا وَ إِن تَصْبِرُ وا۟ وَ تَتَّقُ وا۟ لَا يَضُرُّ كُمْ كَيْدُ هُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِ مَا يَعْمَلُ ونَ مُحِيطٌ
If good touches you, it distresses them; but if harm strikes you, they rejoice at it. And if you are patient and fear Allah, their plot will not harm you at all. Indeed, Allah is encompassing of what they do.
45:21
أَمْ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱجْتَرَحُ وا۟ ٱل سَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن نَّجْعَلَ هُمْ كَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ عَمِلُ وا۟ ٱل صَّٰلِحَٰتِ سَوَآءً مَّحْيَا هُمْ وَ مَمَاتُ هُمْ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُ ونَ
Or do those who commit evils think We will make them like those who have believed and done righteous deeds - [make them] equal in their life and their death? Evil is that which they judge.
48:6
وَ يُعَذِّبَ ٱلْ مُنَٰفِقِينَ وَ ٱلْ مُنَٰفِقَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ مُشْرِكِينَ وَ ٱلْ مُشْرِكَٰتِ ٱل ظَّآنِّينَ بِ ٱللَّهِ ظَنَّ ٱل سَّوْءِ عَلَيْ هِمْ دَآئِرَةُ ٱل سَّوْءِ وَ غَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْ هِمْ وَ لَعَنَ هُمْ وَ أَعَدَّ لَ هُمْ جَهَنَّمَ وَ سَآءَتْ مَصِيرًا
And [that] He may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, and the polytheist men and polytheist women - those who assume about Allah an assumption of evil nature. Upon them is a misfortune of evil nature; and Allah has become angry with them and has cursed them and prepared for them Hell, and evil it is as a destination.
4:115
وَ مَن يُشَاقِقِ ٱل رَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَ هُ ٱلْ هُدَىٰ وَ يَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّ هِۦ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَ نُصْلِ هِۦ جَهَنَّمَ وَ سَآءَتْ مَصِيرًا
And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination.
4:22
وَ لَا تَنكِحُ وا۟ مَا نَكَحَ ءَابَآؤُ كُم مِّنَ ٱل نِّسَآءِ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ إِنَّ هُۥ كَانَ فَٰحِشَةً وَ مَقْتًا وَ سَآءَ سَبِيلًا
And do not marry those [women] whom your fathers married, except what has already occurred. Indeed, it was an immorality and hateful [to Allah] and was evil as a way.
4:38
وَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُ ونَ أَمْوَٰلَ هُمْ رِئَآءَ ٱل نَّاسِ وَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ ونَ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ لَا بِ ٱلْ يَوْمِ ٱلْ ءَاخِرِ وَ مَن يَكُنِ ٱل شَّيْطَٰنُ لَ هُۥ قَرِينًا فَ سَآءَ قَرِينًا
And [also] those who spend of their wealth to be seen by the people and believe not in Allah nor in the Last Day. And he to whom Satan is a companion - then evil is he as a companion.
4:97
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَوَفَّىٰ هُمُ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةُ ظَالِمِىٓ أَنفُسِ هِمْ قَالُ وا۟ فِي مَ كُن تُمْ قَالُ وا۟ كُ نَّا مُسْتَضْعَفِينَ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ قَالُ وٓا۟ أَ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَرْضُ ٱللَّهِ وَٰسِعَةً فَ تُهَاجِرُ وا۟ فِي هَا فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مَأْوَىٰ هُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَ سَآءَتْ مَصِيرًا
Indeed, those whom the angels take [in death] while wronging themselves - [the angels] will say, "In what [condition] were you?" They will say, "We were oppressed in the land." The angels will say, "Was not the earth of Allah spacious [enough] for you to emigrate therein?" For those, their refuge is Hell - and evil it is as a destination.
58:15
أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَ هُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا إِنَّ هُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُ وا۟ يَعْمَلُ ونَ
Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.
5:101
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَسْـَٔلُ وا۟ عَنْ أَشْيَآءَ إِن تُبْدَ لَ كُمْ تَسُؤْ كُمْ وَ إِن تَسْـَٔلُ وا۟ عَنْ هَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ ٱلْ قُرْءَانُ تُبْدَ لَ كُمْ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنْ هَا وَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ
O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you. But if you ask about them while the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be shown to you. Allah has pardoned that which is past; and Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.
5:66
وَ لَوْ أَنَّ هُمْ أَقَامُ وا۟ ٱل تَّوْرَىٰةَ وَ ٱلْ إِنجِيلَ وَ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْ هِم مِّن رَّبِّ هِمْ لَ أَكَلُ وا۟ مِن فَوْقِ هِمْ وَ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِ هِم مِّنْ هُمْ أُمَّةٌ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌ وَ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْ هُمْ سَآءَ مَا يَعْمَلُ ونَ
And if only they upheld [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to them from their Lord, they would have consumed [provision] from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them are a moderate community, but many of them - evil is that which they do.
63:2
ٱتَّخَذُ وٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَ هُمْ جُنَّةً فَ صَدُّ وا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ هُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُ وا۟ يَعْمَلُ ونَ
They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.
67:27
فَ لَمَّا رَأَ وْ هُ زُلْفَةً سِيٓـَٔتْ وُجُوهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُ وا۟ وَ قِيلَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُن تُم بِ هِۦ تَدَّعُ ونَ
But when they see it approaching, the faces of those who disbelieve will be distressed, and it will be said, "This is that for which you used to call."
6:136
وَ جَعَلُ وا۟ لِ لَّهِ مِ مَّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ ٱلْ حَرْثِ وَ ٱلْ أَنْعَٰمِ نَصِيبًا فَ قَالُ وا۟ هَٰذَا لِ لَّهِ بِ زَعْمِ هِمْ وَ هَٰذَا لِ شُرَكَآئِ نَا فَ مَا كَانَ لِ شُرَكَآئِ هِمْ فَ لَا يَصِلُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَ مَا كَانَ لِ لَّهِ فَ هُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَىٰ شُرَكَآئِ هِمْ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُ ونَ
And the polytheists assign to Allah from that which He created of crops and livestock a share and say, "This is for Allah," by their claim, "and this is for our partners [associated with Him]." But what is for their "partners" does not reach Allah, while what is for Allah - this reaches their "partners." Evil is that which they rule.
6:31
قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُ وا۟ بِ لِقَآءِ ٱللَّهِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَتْ هُمُ ٱل سَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُ وا۟ يَٰ حَسْرَتَ نَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطْ نَا فِي هَا وَ هُمْ يَحْمِلُ ونَ أَوْزَارَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِ هِمْ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُ ونَ
Those will have lost who deny the meeting with Allah, until when the Hour [of resurrection] comes upon them unexpectedly, they will say, "Oh, [how great is] our regret over what we neglected concerning it," while they bear their burdens on their backs. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.
7:177
سَآءَ مَثَلًا ٱلْ قَوْمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُ وا۟ بِ ـَٔايَٰتِ نَا وَ أَنفُسَ هُمْ كَانُ وا۟ يَظْلِمُ ونَ
How evil an example [is that of] the people who denied Our signs and used to wrong themselves.
9:50
إِن تُصِبْ كَ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْ هُمْ وَ إِن تُصِبْ كَ مُصِيبَةٌ يَقُولُ وا۟ قَدْ أَخَذْ نَآ أَمْرَ نَا مِن قَبْلُ وَ يَتَوَلَّ وا۟ وَّ هُمْ فَرِحُونَ
If good befalls you, it distresses them; but if disaster strikes you, they say, "We took our matter [in hand] before," and turn away while they are rejoicing.
9:9
ٱشْتَرَ وْا۟ بِ ـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا فَ صَدُّ وا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ هِۦٓ إِنَّ هُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُ وا۟ يَعْمَلُ ونَ
They have exchanged the signs of Allah for a small price and averted [people] from His way. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.
