111:4
وَ ٱمْرَأَتُ هُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْ حَطَبِ
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.
11:40
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَمْرُ نَا وَ فَارَ ٱل تَّنُّورُ قُلْ نَا ٱحْمِلْ فِي هَا مِن كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَ أَهْلَ كَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْ هِ ٱلْ قَوْلُ وَ مَنْ ءَامَنَ وَ مَآ ءَامَنَ مَعَ هُۥٓ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ
[So it was], until when Our command came and the oven overflowed, We said, "Load upon the ship of each [creature] two mates and your family, except those about whom the word has preceded, and [include] whoever has believed." But none had believed with him, except a few.
12:36
وَ دَخَلَ مَعَ هُ ٱل سِّجْنَ فَتَيَانِ قَالَ أَحَدُ هُمَآ إِنِّ ىٓ أَرَىٰ نِىٓ أَعْصِرُ خَمْرًا وَ قَالَ ٱلْ ءَاخَرُ إِنِّ ىٓ أَرَىٰ نِىٓ أَحْمِلُ فَوْقَ رَأْسِ ى خُبْزًا تَأْكُلُ ٱل طَّيْرُ مِنْ هُ نَبِّئْ نَا بِ تَأْوِيلِ هِۦٓ إِنَّ ا نَرَىٰ كَ مِنَ ٱلْ مُحْسِنِينَ
And there entered the prison with him two young men. One of them said, "Indeed, I have seen myself [in a dream] pressing wine." The other said, "Indeed, I have seen myself carrying upon my head [some] bread, from which the birds were eating. Inform us of its interpretation; indeed, we see you to be of those who do good."
13:8
ٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنثَىٰ وَ مَا تَغِيضُ ٱلْ أَرْحَامُ وَ مَا تَزْدَادُ وَ كُلُّ شَىْءٍ عِندَ هُۥ بِ مِقْدَارٍ
Allah knows what every female carries and what the wombs lose [prematurely] or exceed. And everything with Him is by due measure.
16:25
لِ يَحْمِلُ وٓا۟ أَوْزَارَ هُمْ كَامِلَةً يَوْمَ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ وَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُضِلُّ ونَ هُم بِ غَيْرِ عِلْمٍ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُ ونَ
That they may bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection and some of the burdens of those whom they misguide without knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.
16:7
وَ تَحْمِلُ أَثْقَالَ كُمْ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍ لَّمْ تَكُونُ وا۟ بَٰلِغِي هِ إِلَّا بِ شِقِّ ٱلْ أَنفُسِ إِنَّ رَبَّ كُمْ لَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
And they carry your loads to a land you could not have reached except with difficulty to yourselves. Indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful.
17:3
ذُرِّيَّةَ مَنْ حَمَلْ نَا مَعَ نُوحٍ إِنَّ هُۥ كَانَ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا
O descendants of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah. Indeed, he was a grateful servant.
17:70
وَ لَ قَدْ كَرَّمْ نَا بَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ وَ حَمَلْ نَٰ هُمْ فِى ٱلْ بَرِّ وَ ٱلْ بَحْرِ وَ رَزَقْ نَٰ هُم مِّنَ ٱل طَّيِّبَٰتِ وَ فَضَّلْ نَٰ هُمْ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّ مَّنْ خَلَقْ نَا تَفْضِيلًا
And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference.
19:22
فَ حَمَلَتْ هُ فَ ٱنتَبَذَتْ بِ هِۦ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّا
So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place.
19:27
فَ أَتَتْ بِ هِۦ قَوْمَ هَا تَحْمِلُ هُۥ قَالُ وا۟ يَٰ مَرْيَمُ لَ قَدْ جِئْ تِ شَيْـًٔا فَرِيًّا
Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented.
19:58
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْ هِم مِّنَ ٱل نَّبِيِّۦنَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ ءَادَمَ وَ مِ مَّنْ حَمَلْ نَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَ مِ مَّنْ هَدَيْ نَا وَ ٱجْتَبَيْ نَآ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْ هِمْ ءَايَٰتُ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنِ خَرُّ وا۟ سُجَّدًا وَ بُكِيًّا
Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping.
20:100
مَّنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْ هُ فَ إِنَّ هُۥ يَحْمِلُ يَوْمَ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ وِزْرًا
Whoever turns away from it - then indeed, he will bear on the Day of Resurrection a burden,
20:111
وَ عَنَتِ ٱلْ وُجُوهُ لِ لْ حَىِّ ٱلْ قَيُّومِ وَ قَدْ خَابَ مَنْ حَمَلَ ظُلْمًا
And [all] faces will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. And he will have failed who carries injustice.
23:22
وَ عَلَيْ هَا وَ عَلَى ٱلْ فُلْكِ تُحْمَلُ ونَ
And upon them and on ships you are carried.
29:12
وَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُ وا۟ لِ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱتَّبِعُ وا۟ سَبِيلَ نَا وَ لْ نَحْمِلْ خَطَٰيَٰ كُمْ وَ مَا هُم بِ حَٰمِلِينَ مِنْ خَطَٰيَٰ هُم مِّن شَىْءٍ إِنَّ هُمْ لَ كَٰذِبُونَ
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Follow our way, and we will carry your sins." But they will not carry anything of their sins. Indeed, they are liars.
29:13
وَ لَ يَحْمِلُ نَّ أَثْقَالَ هُمْ وَ أَثْقَالًا مَّعَ أَثْقَالِ هِمْ وَ لَ يُسْـَٔلُ نَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ عَ مَّا كَانُ وا۟ يَفْتَرُ ونَ
But they will surely carry their [own] burdens and [other] burdens along with their burdens, and they will surely be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about what they used to invent.
29:60
وَ كَأَيِّن مِّن دَآبَّةٍ لَّا تَحْمِلُ رِزْقَ هَا ٱللَّهُ يَرْزُقُ هَا وَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَ هُوَ ٱل سَّمِيعُ ٱلْ عَلِيمُ
And how many a creature carries not its [own] provision. Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
2:248
وَ قَالَ لَ هُمْ نَبِيُّ هُمْ إِنَّ ءَايَةَ مُلْكِ هِۦٓ أَن يَأْتِيَ كُمُ ٱل تَّابُوتُ فِي هِ سَكِينَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّ كُمْ وَ بَقِيَّةٌ مِّ مَّا تَرَكَ ءَالُ مُوسَىٰ وَ ءَالُ هَٰرُونَ تَحْمِلُ هُ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةُ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَ ءَايَةً لَّ كُمْ إِن كُن تُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
And their prophet said to them, "Indeed, a sign of his kingship is that the chest will come to you in which is assurance from your Lord and a remnant of what the family of Moses and the family of Aaron had left, carried by the angels. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers."
2:286
لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَ هَا لَ هَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَ عَلَيْ هَا مَا ٱكْتَسَبَتْ رَبَّ نَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْ نَآ إِن نَّسِي نَآ أَوْ أَخْطَأْ نَا رَبَّ نَا وَ لَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْ نَآ إِصْرًا كَ مَا حَمَلْ تَ هُۥ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِ نَا رَبَّ نَا وَ لَا تُحَمِّلْ نَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَ نَا بِ هِۦ وَ ٱعْفُ عَنَّ ا وَ ٱغْفِرْ لَ نَا وَ ٱرْحَمْ نَآ أَنتَ مَوْلَىٰ نَا فَ ٱنصُرْ نَا عَلَى ٱلْ قَوْمِ ٱلْ كَٰفِرِينَ
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."
31:14
وَ وَصَّيْ نَا ٱلْ إِنسَٰنَ بِ وَٰلِدَيْ هِ حَمَلَتْ هُ أُمُّ هُۥ وَهْنًا عَلَىٰ وَهْنٍ وَ فِصَٰلُ هُۥ فِى عَامَيْنِ أَنِ ٱشْكُرْ لِ ى وَ لِ وَٰلِدَيْ كَ إِلَىَّ ٱلْ مَصِيرُ
And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.
33:72
إِنَّ ا عَرَضْ نَا ٱلْ أَمَانَةَ عَلَى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ ٱلْ جِبَالِ فَ أَبَيْ نَ أَن يَحْمِلْ نَ هَا وَ أَشْفَقْ نَ مِنْ هَا وَ حَمَلَ هَا ٱلْ إِنسَٰنُ إِنَّ هُۥ كَانَ ظَلُومًا جَهُولًا
Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.
35:11
وَ ٱللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ كُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا وَ مَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنثَىٰ وَ لَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِ عِلْمِ هِۦ وَ مَا يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرٍ وَ لَا يُنقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِ هِۦٓ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ
And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy.
35:18
وَ لَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ وَ إِن تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ إِلَىٰ حِمْلِ هَا لَا يُحْمَلْ مِنْ هُ شَىْءٌ وَ لَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰٓ إِنَّ مَا تُنذِرُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَ وْنَ رَبَّ هُم بِ ٱلْ غَيْبِ وَ أَقَامُ وا۟ ٱل صَّلَوٰةَ وَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ فَ إِنَّ مَا يَتَزَكَّىٰ لِ نَفْسِ هِۦ وَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْ مَصِيرُ
And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination.
36:41
وَ ءَايَةٌ لَّ هُمْ أَنَّ ا حَمَلْ نَا ذُرِّيَّتَ هُمْ فِى ٱلْ فُلْكِ ٱلْ مَشْحُونِ
And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship.
40:7
ٱلَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُ ونَ ٱلْ عَرْشَ وَ مَنْ حَوْلَ هُۥ يُسَبِّحُ ونَ بِ حَمْدِ رَبِّ هِمْ وَ يُؤْمِنُ ونَ بِ هِۦ وَ يَسْتَغْفِرُ ونَ لِ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ رَبَّ نَا وَسِعْ تَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَ عِلْمًا فَ ٱغْفِرْ لِ لَّذِينَ تَابُ وا۟ وَ ٱتَّبَعُ وا۟ سَبِيلَ كَ وَ قِ هِمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْ جَحِيمِ
Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.
40:80
وَ لَ كُمْ فِي هَا مَنَٰفِعُ وَ لِ تَبْلُغُ وا۟ عَلَيْ هَا حَاجَةً فِى صُدُورِ كُمْ وَ عَلَيْ هَا وَ عَلَى ٱلْ فُلْكِ تُحْمَلُ ونَ
And for you therein are [other] benefits and that you may realize upon them a need which is in your breasts; and upon them and upon ships you are carried.
41:47
إِلَيْ هِ يُرَدُّ عِلْمُ ٱل سَّاعَةِ وَ مَا تَخْرُجُ مِن ثَمَرَٰتٍ مِّنْ أَكْمَامِ هَا وَ مَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنثَىٰ وَ لَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِ عِلْمِ هِۦ وَ يَوْمَ يُنَادِي هِمْ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآءِ ى قَالُ وٓا۟ ءَاذَ نَّٰ كَ مَا مِنَّ ا مِن شَهِيدٍ
To him [alone] is attributed knowledge of the Hour. And fruits emerge not from their coverings nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, "Where are My 'partners'?" they will say, "We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [to that]."
46:15
وَ وَصَّيْ نَا ٱلْ إِنسَٰنَ بِ وَٰلِدَيْ هِ إِحْسَٰنًا حَمَلَتْ هُ أُمُّ هُۥ كُرْهًا وَ وَضَعَتْ هُ كُرْهًا وَ حَمْلُ هُۥ وَ فِصَٰلُ هُۥ ثَلَٰثُونَ شَهْرًا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّ هُۥ وَ بَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْ نِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَ كَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْ تَ عَلَىَّ وَ عَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَ أَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًا تَرْضَىٰ هُ وَ أَصْلِحْ لِ ى فِى ذُرِّيَّتِ ىٓ إِنِّ ى تُبْ تُ إِلَيْ كَ وَ إِنِّ ى مِنَ ٱلْ مُسْلِمِينَ
And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims."
51:2
فَ ٱلْ حَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقْرًا
And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water]
54:13
وَ حَمَلْ نَٰ هُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَٰحٍ وَ دُسُرٍ
And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails,
62:5
مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ حُمِّلُ وا۟ ٱل تَّوْرَىٰةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُ و هَا كَ مَثَلِ ٱلْ حِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ أَسْفَارًۢا بِئْسَ مَثَلُ ٱلْ قَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُ وا۟ بِ ـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْ قَوْمَ ٱل ظَّٰلِمِينَ
The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
69:11
إِنَّ ا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْ مَآءُ حَمَلْ نَٰ كُمْ فِى ٱلْ جَارِيَةِ
Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship
69:14
وَ حُمِلَتِ ٱلْ أَرْضُ وَ ٱلْ جِبَالُ فَ دُكَّ تَا دَكَّةً وَٰحِدَةً
And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow -
69:17
وَ ٱلْ مَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِ هَا وَ يَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّ كَ فَوْقَ هُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَٰنِيَةٌ
And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].
6:146
وَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُ وا۟ حَرَّمْ نَا كُلَّ ذِى ظُفُرٍ وَ مِنَ ٱلْ بَقَرِ وَ ٱلْ غَنَمِ حَرَّمْ نَا عَلَيْ هِمْ شُحُومَ هُمَآ إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُورُ هُمَآ أَوِ ٱلْ حَوَايَآ أَوْ مَا ٱخْتَلَطَ بِ عَظْمٍ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيْ نَٰ هُم بِ بَغْيِ هِمْ وَ إِنَّ ا لَ صَٰدِقُونَ
And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof; and of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that We repaid them for their injustice. And indeed, We are truthful.
6:31
قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُ وا۟ بِ لِقَآءِ ٱللَّهِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَتْ هُمُ ٱل سَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُ وا۟ يَٰ حَسْرَتَ نَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطْ نَا فِي هَا وَ هُمْ يَحْمِلُ ونَ أَوْزَارَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِ هِمْ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُ ونَ
Those will have lost who deny the meeting with Allah, until when the Hour [of resurrection] comes upon them unexpectedly, they will say, "Oh, [how great is] our regret over what we neglected concerning it," while they bear their burdens on their backs. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.
7:176
وَ لَوْ شِئْ نَا لَ رَفَعْ نَٰ هُ بِ هَا وَ لَٰكِنَّ هُۥٓ أَخْلَدَ إِلَى ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ ٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰ هُ فَ مَثَلُ هُۥ كَ مَثَلِ ٱلْ كَلْبِ إِن تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْ هِ يَلْهَثْ أَوْ تَتْرُكْ هُ يَلْهَث ذَّٰلِكَ مَثَلُ ٱلْ قَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُ وا۟ بِ ـَٔايَٰتِ نَا فَ ٱقْصُصِ ٱلْ قَصَصَ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُ ونَ
And if We had willed, we could have elevated him thereby, but he adhered [instead] to the earth and followed his own desire. So his example is like that of the dog: if you chase him, he pants, or if you leave him, he [still] pants. That is the example of the people who denied Our signs. So relate the stories that perhaps they will give thought.
7:189
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ كُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ وَ جَعَلَ مِنْ هَا زَوْجَ هَا لِ يَسْكُنَ إِلَيْ هَا فَ لَمَّا تَغَشَّىٰ هَا حَمَلَتْ حَمْلًا خَفِيفًا فَ مَرَّتْ بِ هِۦ فَ لَمَّآ أَثْقَلَت دَّعَوَ ا ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ هُمَا لَ ئِنْ ءَاتَيْ تَ نَا صَٰلِحًا لَّ نَكُونَ نَّ مِنَ ٱل شَّٰكِرِينَ
It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her. And when he covers her, she carries a light burden and continues therein. And when it becomes heavy, they both invoke Allah, their Lord, "If You should give us a good [child], we will surely be among the grateful."
9:92
وَ لَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا مَآ أَتَ وْ كَ لِ تَحْمِلَ هُمْ قُلْ تَ لَآ أَجِدُ مَآ أَحْمِلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ تَوَلَّ وا۟ وَّ أَعْيُنُ هُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱل دَّمْعِ حَزَنًا أَ لَّا يَجِدُ وا۟ مَا يُنفِقُ ونَ
Nor [is there blame] upon those who, when they came to you that you might give them mounts, you said, "I can find nothing for you to ride upon." They turned back while their eyes overflowed with tears out of grief that they could not find something to spend [for the cause of Allah].
