Verse:

23:66

Content:

قَدْ كَانَتْ ءَايَٰتِ ى تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْ كُمْ فَ كُن تُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَٰبِ كُمْ تَنكِصُ ونَ

My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels


Verse:

8:48

Content:

وَ إِذْ زَيَّنَ لَ هُمُ ٱل شَّيْطَٰنُ أَعْمَٰلَ هُمْ وَ قَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَ كُمُ ٱلْ يَوْمَ مِنَ ٱل نَّاسِ وَ إِنِّ ى جَارٌ لَّ كُمْ فَ لَمَّا تَرَآءَتِ ٱلْ فِئَتَانِ نَكَصَ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْ هِ وَ قَالَ إِنِّ ى بَرِىٓءٌ مِّن كُمْ إِنِّ ىٓ أَرَىٰ مَا لَا تَرَ وْنَ إِنِّ ىٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱللَّهُ شَدِيدُ ٱلْ عِقَابِ

And [remember] when Satan made their deeds pleasing to them and said, "No one can overcome you today from among the people, and indeed, I am your protector." But when the two armies sighted each other, he turned on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed I fear Allah. And Allah is severe in penalty."
