110:3
فَ سَبِّحْ بِ حَمْدِ رَبِّ كَ وَ ٱسْتَغْفِرْ هُ إِنَّ هُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابًۢا
Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.
11:112
فَ ٱسْتَقِمْ كَ مَآ أُمِرْ تَ وَ مَن تَابَ مَعَ كَ وَ لَا تَطْغَ وْا۟ إِنَّ هُۥ بِ مَا تَعْمَلُ ونَ بَصِيرٌ
So remain on a right course as you have been commanded, [you] and those who have turned back with you [to Allah], and do not transgress. Indeed, He is Seeing of what you do.
11:3
وَ أَنِ ٱسْتَغْفِرُ وا۟ رَبَّ كُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُ وٓا۟ إِلَيْ هِ يُمَتِّعْ كُم مَّتَٰعًا حَسَنًا إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَ يُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِى فَضْلٍ فَضْلَ هُۥ وَ إِن تَوَلَّ وْا۟ فَ إِنِّ ىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْ كُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ كَبِيرٍ
And [saying], "Seek forgiveness of your Lord and repent to Him, [and] He will let you enjoy a good provision for a specified term and give every doer of favor his favor. But if you turn away, then indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a great Day.
11:52
وَ يَٰ قَوْمِ ٱسْتَغْفِرُ وا۟ رَبَّ كُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُ وٓا۟ إِلَيْ هِ يُرْسِلِ ٱل سَّمَآءَ عَلَيْ كُم مِّدْرَارًا وَ يَزِدْ كُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِ كُمْ وَ لَا تَتَوَلَّ وْا۟ مُجْرِمِينَ
And O my people, ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength. And do not turn away, [being] criminals."
11:61
وَ إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَا هُمْ صَٰلِحًا قَالَ يَٰ قَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَ كُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُ هُۥ هُوَ أَنشَأَ كُم مِّنَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ ٱسْتَعْمَرَ كُمْ فِي هَا فَ ٱسْتَغْفِرُ و هُ ثُمَّ تُوبُ وٓا۟ إِلَيْ هِ إِنَّ رَبِّ ى قَرِيبٌ مُّجِيبٌ
And to Thamud [We sent] their brother Salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive."
11:90
وَ ٱسْتَغْفِرُ وا۟ رَبَّ كُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُ وٓا۟ إِلَيْ هِ إِنَّ رَبِّ ى رَحِيمٌ وَدُودٌ
And ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is Merciful and Affectionate."
16:119
ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّ كَ لِ لَّذِينَ عَمِلُ وا۟ ٱل سُّوٓءَ بِ جَهَٰلَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابُ وا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَ أَصْلَحُ وٓا۟ إِنَّ رَبَّ كَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ هَا لَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Then, indeed your Lord, to those who have done wrong out of ignorance and then repent after that and correct themselves - indeed, your Lord, thereafter, is Forgiving and Merciful.
19:60
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَ ءَامَنَ وَ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَدْخُلُ ونَ ٱلْ جَنَّةَ وَ لَا يُظْلَمُ ونَ شَيْـًٔا
Except those who repent, believe and do righteousness; for those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged at all.
20:122
ثُمَّ ٱجْتَبَٰ هُ رَبُّ هُۥ فَ تَابَ عَلَيْ هِ وَ هَدَىٰ
Then his Lord chose him and turned to him in forgiveness and guided [him].
20:82
وَ إِنِّ ى لَ غَفَّارٌ لِّ مَن تَابَ وَ ءَامَنَ وَ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا ثُمَّ ٱهْتَدَىٰ
But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.
24:10
وَ لَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ رَحْمَتُ هُۥ وَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيمٌ
And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy... and because Allah is Accepting of repentance and Wise.
24:31
وَ قُل لِّ لْ مُؤْمِنَٰتِ يَغْضُضْ نَ مِنْ أَبْصَٰرِ هِنَّ وَ يَحْفَظْ نَ فُرُوجَ هُنَّ وَ لَا يُبْدِي نَ زِينَتَ هُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْ هَا وَ لْ يَضْرِبْ نَ بِ خُمُرِ هِنَّ عَلَىٰ جُيُوبِ هِنَّ وَ لَا يُبْدِي نَ زِينَتَ هُنَّ إِلَّا لِ بُعُولَتِ هِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآئِ هِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآءِ بُعُولَتِ هِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآئِ هِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآءِ بُعُولَتِ هِنَّ أَوْ إِخْوَٰنِ هِنَّ أَوْ بَنِىٓ إِخْوَٰنِ هِنَّ أَوْ بَنِىٓ أَخَوَٰتِ هِنَّ أَوْ نِسَآئِ هِنَّ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُ هُنَّ أَوِ ٱل تَّٰبِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُو۟لِى ٱلْ إِرْبَةِ مِنَ ٱل رِّجَالِ أَوِ ٱل طِّفْلِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُ وا۟ عَلَىٰ عَوْرَٰتِ ٱل نِّسَآءِ وَ لَا يَضْرِبْ نَ بِ أَرْجُلِ هِنَّ لِ يُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِي نَ مِن زِينَتِ هِنَّ وَ تُوبُ وٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُفْلِحُ ونَ
And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.
24:5
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُ وا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَ أَصْلَحُ وا۟ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Except for those who repent thereafter and reform, for indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
25:70
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَ ءَامَنَ وَ عَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَٰلِحًا فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِ هِمْ حَسَنَٰتٍ وَ كَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
25:71
وَ مَن تَابَ وَ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَ إِنَّ هُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابًا
And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance.
28:67
فَ أَمَّا مَن تَابَ وَ ءَامَنَ وَ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْ مُفْلِحِينَ
But as for one who had repented, believed, and done righteousness, it is promised by Allah that he will be among the successful.
2:128
رَبَّ نَا وَ ٱجْعَلْ نَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَ كَ وَ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِ نَآ أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّ كَ وَ أَرِ نَا مَنَاسِكَ نَا وَ تُبْ عَلَيْ نَآ إِنَّ كَ أَنتَ ٱل تَّوَّابُ ٱل رَّحِيمُ
Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
2:160
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُ وا۟ وَ أَصْلَحُ وا۟ وَ بَيَّنُ وا۟ فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَتُوبُ عَلَيْ هِمْ وَ أَنَا ٱل تَّوَّابُ ٱل رَّحِيمُ
Except for those who repent and correct themselves and make evident [what they concealed]. Those - I will accept their repentance, and I am the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
2:187
أُحِلَّ لَ كُمْ لَيْلَةَ ٱل صِّيَامِ ٱل رَّفَثُ إِلَىٰ نِسَآئِ كُمْ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّ كُمْ وَ أَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّ هُنَّ عَلِمَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّ كُمْ كُن تُمْ تَخْتَانُ ونَ أَنفُسَ كُمْ فَ تَابَ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ عَفَا عَن كُمْ فَ ٱلْ ـَٰٔنَ بَٰشِرُ و هُنَّ وَ ٱبْتَغُ وا۟ مَا كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَ كُمْ وَ كُلُ وا۟ وَ ٱشْرَبُ وا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَ كُمُ ٱلْ خَيْطُ ٱلْ أَبْيَضُ مِنَ ٱلْ خَيْطِ ٱلْ أَسْوَدِ مِنَ ٱلْ فَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّ وا۟ ٱل صِّيَامَ إِلَى ٱلَّ يْلِ وَ لَا تُبَٰشِرُ و هُنَّ وَ أَنتُمْ عَٰكِفُونَ فِى ٱلْ مَسَٰجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّهِ فَ لَا تَقْرَبُ و هَا كَ ذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ ءَايَٰتِ هِۦ لِ ل نَّاسِ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَتَّقُ ونَ
It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allah has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah, so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His ordinances to the people that they may become righteous.
2:222
وَ يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱلْ مَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَ ٱعْتَزِلُ وا۟ ٱل نِّسَآءَ فِى ٱلْ مَحِيضِ وَ لَا تَقْرَبُ و هُنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَطْهُرْ نَ فَ إِذَا تَطَهَّرْ نَ فَ أْتُ و هُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَ كُمُ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱل تَّوَّٰبِينَ وَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْ مُتَطَهِّرِينَ
And they ask you about menstruation. Say, "It is harm, so keep away from wives during menstruation. And do not approach them until they are pure. And when they have purified themselves, then come to them from where Allah has ordained for you. Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves."
2:279
فَ إِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُ وا۟ فَ أْذَنُ وا۟ بِ حَرْبٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَ رَسُولِ هِۦ وَ إِن تُبْ تُمْ فَ لَ كُمْ رُءُوسُ أَمْوَٰلِ كُمْ لَا تَظْلِمُ ونَ وَ لَا تُظْلَمُ ونَ
And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal - [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged.
2:37
فَ تَلَقَّىٰٓ ءَادَمُ مِن رَّبِّ هِۦ كَلِمَٰتٍ فَ تَابَ عَلَيْ هِ إِنَّ هُۥ هُوَ ٱل تَّوَّابُ ٱل رَّحِيمُ
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
2:54
وَ إِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِ قَوْمِ هِۦ يَٰ قَوْمِ إِنَّ كُمْ ظَلَمْ تُمْ أَنفُسَ كُم بِ ٱتِّخَاذِ كُمُ ٱلْ عِجْلَ فَ تُوبُ وٓا۟ إِلَىٰ بَارِئِ كُمْ فَ ٱقْتُلُ وٓا۟ أَنفُسَ كُمْ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّ كُمْ عِندَ بَارِئِ كُمْ فَ تَابَ عَلَيْ كُمْ إِنَّ هُۥ هُوَ ٱل تَّوَّابُ ٱل رَّحِيمُ
And [recall] when Moses said to his people, "O my people, indeed you have wronged yourselves by your taking of the calf [for worship]. So repent to your Creator and kill yourselves. That is best for [all of] you in the sight of your Creator." Then He accepted your repentance; indeed, He is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
33:24
لِّ يَجْزِىَ ٱللَّهُ ٱل صَّٰدِقِينَ بِ صِدْقِ هِمْ وَ يُعَذِّبَ ٱلْ مُنَٰفِقِينَ إِن شَآءَ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْ هِمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
That Allah may reward the truthful for their truth and punish the hypocrites if He wills or accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.
33:73
لِّ يُعَذِّبَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْ مُنَٰفِقِينَ وَ ٱلْ مُنَٰفِقَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ مُشْرِكِينَ وَ ٱلْ مُشْرِكَٰتِ وَ يَتُوبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَى ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَ كَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًۢا
[It was] so that Allah may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the men and women who associate others with Him and that Allah may accept repentance from the believing men and believing women. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
3:128
لَيْسَ لَ كَ مِنَ ٱلْ أَمْرِ شَىْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْ هِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَ هُمْ فَ إِنَّ هُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ
Not for you, [O Muhammad, but for Allah], is the decision whether He should [cut them down] or forgive them or punish them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers.
3:89
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُ وا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَ أَصْلَحُ وا۟ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Except for those who repent after that and correct themselves. For indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
40:7
ٱلَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُ ونَ ٱلْ عَرْشَ وَ مَنْ حَوْلَ هُۥ يُسَبِّحُ ونَ بِ حَمْدِ رَبِّ هِمْ وَ يُؤْمِنُ ونَ بِ هِۦ وَ يَسْتَغْفِرُ ونَ لِ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ رَبَّ نَا وَسِعْ تَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَ عِلْمًا فَ ٱغْفِرْ لِ لَّذِينَ تَابُ وا۟ وَ ٱتَّبَعُ وا۟ سَبِيلَ كَ وَ قِ هِمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْ جَحِيمِ
Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.
46:15
وَ وَصَّيْ نَا ٱلْ إِنسَٰنَ بِ وَٰلِدَيْ هِ إِحْسَٰنًا حَمَلَتْ هُ أُمُّ هُۥ كُرْهًا وَ وَضَعَتْ هُ كُرْهًا وَ حَمْلُ هُۥ وَ فِصَٰلُ هُۥ ثَلَٰثُونَ شَهْرًا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّ هُۥ وَ بَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْ نِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَ كَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْ تَ عَلَىَّ وَ عَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَ أَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًا تَرْضَىٰ هُ وَ أَصْلِحْ لِ ى فِى ذُرِّيَّتِ ىٓ إِنِّ ى تُبْ تُ إِلَيْ كَ وَ إِنِّ ى مِنَ ٱلْ مُسْلِمِينَ
And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims."
49:11
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا يَسْخَرْ قَوْمٌ مِّن قَوْمٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونُ وا۟ خَيْرًا مِّنْ هُمْ وَ لَا نِسَآءٌ مِّن نِّسَآءٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُ نَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْ هُنَّ وَ لَا تَلْمِزُ وٓا۟ أَنفُسَ كُمْ وَ لَا تَنَابَزُ وا۟ بِ ٱلْ أَلْقَٰبِ بِئْسَ ٱلِ ٱسْمُ ٱلْ فُسُوقُ بَعْدَ ٱلْ إِيمَٰنِ وَ مَن لَّمْ يَتُبْ فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱل ظَّٰلِمُونَ
O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.
49:12
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱجْتَنِبُ وا۟ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱل ظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ ٱل ظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ وَ لَا تَجَسَّسُ وا۟ وَ لَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُ كُم بَعْضًا أَ يُحِبُّ أَحَدُ كُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِي هِ مَيْتًا فَ كَرِهْ تُمُو هُ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ رَّحِيمٌ
O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
4:146
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُ وا۟ وَ أَصْلَحُ وا۟ وَ ٱعْتَصَمُ وا۟ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ أَخْلَصُ وا۟ دِينَ هُمْ لِ لَّهِ فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مَعَ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَ سَوْفَ يُؤْتِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
Except for those who repent, correct themselves, hold fast to Allah, and are sincere in their religion for Allah, for those will be with the believers. And Allah is going to give the believers a great reward.
4:16
وَ ٱلَّذَانِ يَأْتِيَ ٰنِ هَا مِن كُمْ فَ ـَٔاذُ و هُمَا فَ إِن تَابَ ا وَ أَصْلَحَ ا فَ أَعْرِضُ وا۟ عَنْ هُمَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًا
And the two who commit it among you, dishonor them both. But if they repent and correct themselves, leave them alone. Indeed, Allah is ever Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
4:17
إِنَّ مَا ٱل تَّوْبَةُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ لِ لَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُ ونَ ٱل سُّوٓءَ بِ جَهَٰلَةٍ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ ونَ مِن قَرِيبٍ فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَتُوبُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْ هِمْ وَ كَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
The repentance accepted by Allah is only for those who do wrong in ignorance [or carelessness] and then repent soon after. It is those to whom Allah will turn in forgiveness, and Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
4:18
وَ لَيْسَتِ ٱل تَّوْبَةُ لِ لَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُ ونَ ٱل سَّيِّـَٔاتِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَ هُمُ ٱلْ مَوْتُ قَالَ إِنِّ ى تُبْ تُ ٱلْ ـَٰٔنَ وَ لَا ٱلَّذِينَ يَمُوتُ ونَ وَ هُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَعْتَدْ نَا لَ هُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
But repentance is not [accepted] of those who [continue to] do evil deeds up until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "Indeed, I have repented now," or of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful punishment.
4:26
يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِ يُبَيِّنَ لَ كُمْ وَ يَهْدِيَ كُمْ سُنَنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِ كُمْ وَ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
Allah wants to make clear to you [the lawful from the unlawful] and guide you to the [good] practices of those before you and to accept your repentance. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
4:27
وَ ٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتُوبَ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ يُرِيدُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُ ونَ ٱل شَّهَوَٰتِ أَن تَمِيلُ وا۟ مَيْلًا عَظِيمًا
Allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation.
4:64
وَ مَآ أَرْسَلْ نَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا لِ يُطَاعَ بِ إِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ وَ لَوْ أَنَّ هُمْ إِذ ظَّلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنفُسَ هُمْ جَآءُ و كَ فَ ٱسْتَغْفَرُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱسْتَغْفَرَ لَ هُمُ ٱل رَّسُولُ لَ وَجَدُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًا
And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
58:13
ءَ أَشْفَقْ تُمْ أَن تُقَدِّمُ وا۟ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ نَجْوَىٰ كُمْ صَدَقَٰتٍ فَ إِذْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُ وا۟ وَ تَابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْ كُمْ فَ أَقِيمُ وا۟ ٱل صَّلَوٰةَ وَ ءَاتُ وا۟ ٱل زَّكَوٰةَ وَ أَطِيعُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ رَسُولَ هُۥ وَ ٱللَّهُ خَبِيرٌۢ بِ مَا تَعْمَلُ ونَ
Have you feared to present before your consultation charities? Then when you do not and Allah has forgiven you, then [at least] establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.
5:34
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُ وا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَقْدِرُ وا۟ عَلَيْ هِمْ فَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Except for those who return [repenting] before you apprehend them. And know that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
5:39
فَ مَن تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ظُلْمِ هِۦ وَ أَصْلَحَ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَتُوبُ عَلَيْ هِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
But whoever repents after his wrongdoing and reforms, indeed, Allah will turn to him in forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
5:71
وَ حَسِبُ وٓا۟ أَ لَّا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ فَ عَمُ وا۟ وَ صَمُّ وا۟ ثُمَّ تَابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْ هِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُ وا۟ وَ صَمُّ وا۟ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْ هُمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِ مَا يَعْمَلُ ونَ
And they thought there would be no [resulting] punishment, so they became blind and deaf. Then Allah turned to them in forgiveness; then [again] many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is Seeing of what they do.
5:74
أَ فَ لَا يَتُوبُ ونَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَ يَسْتَغْفِرُ ونَ هُۥ وَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
So will they not repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
66:4
إِن تَتُوبَ آ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ فَ قَدْ صَغَتْ قُلُوبُ كُمَا وَ إِن تَظَٰهَرَ ا عَلَيْ هِ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰ هُ وَ جِبْرِيلُ وَ صَٰلِحُ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةُ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ ظَهِيرٌ
If you two [wives] repent to Allah, [it is best], for your hearts have deviated. But if you cooperate against him - then indeed Allah is his protector, and Gabriel and the righteous of the believers and the angels, moreover, are [his] assistants.
66:8
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ تُوبُ وٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوْبَةً نَّصُوحًا عَسَىٰ رَبُّ كُمْ أَن يُكَفِّرَ عَن كُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِ كُمْ وَ يُدْخِلَ كُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِ هَا ٱلْ أَنْهَٰرُ يَوْمَ لَا يُخْزِى ٱللَّهُ ٱل نَّبِىَّ وَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ مَعَ هُۥ نُورُ هُمْ يَسْعَىٰ بَيْنَ أَيْدِي هِمْ وَ بِ أَيْمَٰنِ هِمْ يَقُولُ ونَ رَبَّ نَآ أَتْمِمْ لَ نَا نُورَ نَا وَ ٱغْفِرْ لَ نَآ إِنَّ كَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
O you who have believed, repent to Allah with sincere repentance. Perhaps your Lord will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow [on] the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believed with him. Their light will proceed before them and on their right; they will say, "Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are over all things competent."
6:54
وَ إِذَا جَآءَ كَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُ ونَ بِ ـَٔايَٰتِ نَا فَ قُلْ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْ كُمْ كَتَبَ رَبُّ كُمْ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِ هِ ٱل رَّحْمَةَ أَنَّ هُۥ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِن كُمْ سُوٓءًۢا بِ جَهَٰلَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ هِۦ وَ أَصْلَحَ فَ أَنَّ هُۥ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
And when those come to you who believe in Our verses, say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy: that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself - indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful."
73:20
إِنَّ رَبَّ كَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّ كَ تَقُومُ أَدْنَىٰ مِن ثُلُثَىِ ٱلَّ يْلِ وَ نِصْفَ هُۥ وَ ثُلُثَ هُۥ وَ طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعَ كَ وَ ٱللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ ٱلَّ يْلَ وَ ٱل نَّهَارَ عَلِمَ أَن لَّن تُحْصُ و هُ فَ تَابَ عَلَيْ كُمْ فَ ٱقْرَءُ وا۟ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ ٱلْ قُرْءَانِ عَلِمَ أَن سَ يَكُونُ مِن كُم مَّرْضَىٰ وَ ءَاخَرُونَ يَضْرِبُ ونَ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ يَبْتَغُ ونَ مِن فَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ءَاخَرُونَ يُقَٰتِلُ ونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَ ٱقْرَءُ وا۟ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْ هُ وَ أَقِيمُ وا۟ ٱل صَّلَوٰةَ وَ ءَاتُ وا۟ ٱل زَّكَوٰةَ وَ أَقْرِضُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا وَ مَا تُقَدِّمُ وا۟ لِ أَنفُسِ كُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُ و هُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا وَ أَعْظَمَ أَجْرًا وَ ٱسْتَغْفِرُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌۢ
Indeed, your Lord knows, [O Muhammad], that you stand [in prayer] almost two thirds of the night or half of it or a third of it, and [so do] a group of those with you. And Allah determines [the extent of] the night and the day. He has known that you [Muslims] will not be able to do it and has turned to you in forgiveness, so recite what is easy [for you] of the Qur'an. He has known that there will be among you those who are ill and others traveling throughout the land seeking [something] of the bounty of Allah and others fighting for the cause of Allah. So recite what is easy from it and establish prayer and give zakah and loan Allah a goodly loan. And whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah. It is better and greater in reward. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
7:143
وَ لَمَّا جَآءَ مُوسَىٰ لِ مِيقَٰتِ نَا وَ كَلَّمَ هُۥ رَبُّ هُۥ قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِ نِىٓ أَنظُرْ إِلَيْ كَ قَالَ لَن تَرَىٰ نِى وَ لَٰكِنِ ٱنظُرْ إِلَى ٱلْ جَبَلِ فَ إِنِ ٱسْتَقَرَّ مَكَانَ هُۥ فَ سَوْفَ تَرَىٰ نِى فَ لَمَّا تَجَلَّىٰ رَبُّ هُۥ لِ لْ جَبَلِ جَعَلَ هُۥ دَكًّا وَ خَرَّ مُوسَىٰ صَعِقًا فَ لَمَّآ أَفَاقَ قَالَ سُبْحَٰنَ كَ تُبْ تُ إِلَيْ كَ وَ أَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
And when Moses arrived at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, "My Lord, show me [Yourself] that I may look at You." [Allah] said, "You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in place, then you will see Me." But when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He rendered it level, and Moses fell unconscious. And when he awoke, he said, "Exalted are You! I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers."
7:153
وَ ٱلَّذِينَ عَمِلُ وا۟ ٱل سَّيِّـَٔاتِ ثُمَّ تَابُ وا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ هَا وَ ءَامَنُ وٓا۟ إِنَّ رَبَّ كَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ هَا لَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
But those who committed misdeeds and then repented after them and believed - indeed your Lord, thereafter, is Forgiving and Merciful.
85:10
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُ وا۟ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُ وا۟ فَ لَ هُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَ لَ هُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْ حَرِيقِ
Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.
9:102
وَ ءَاخَرُونَ ٱعْتَرَفُ وا۟ بِ ذُنُوبِ هِمْ خَلَطُ وا۟ عَمَلًا صَٰلِحًا وَ ءَاخَرَ سَيِّئًا عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَتُوبَ عَلَيْ هِمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
And [there are] others who have acknowledged their sins. They had mixed a righteous deed with another that was bad. Perhaps Allah will turn to them in forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
9:104
أَ لَمْ يَعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ يَقْبَلُ ٱل تَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِ هِۦ وَ يَأْخُذُ ٱل صَّدَقَٰتِ وَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱل تَّوَّابُ ٱل رَّحِيمُ
Do they not know that it is Allah who accepts repentance from His servants and receives charities and that it is Allah who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful?
9:106
وَ ءَاخَرُونَ مُرْجَوْنَ لِ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ إِمَّا يُعَذِّبُ هُمْ وَ إِمَّا يَتُوبُ عَلَيْ هِمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
And [there are] others deferred until the command of Allah - whether He will punish them or whether He will forgive them. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
9:11
فَ إِن تَابُ وا۟ وَ أَقَامُ وا۟ ٱل صَّلَوٰةَ وَ ءَاتَ وُا۟ ٱل زَّكَوٰةَ فَ إِخْوَٰنُ كُمْ فِى ٱل دِّينِ وَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْ ءَايَٰتِ لِ قَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُ ونَ
But if they repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, then they are your brothers in religion; and We detail the verses for a people who know.
9:112
ٱل تَّٰٓئِبُونَ ٱلْ عَٰبِدُونَ ٱلْ حَٰمِدُونَ ٱل سَّٰٓئِحُونَ ٱل رَّٰكِعُونَ ٱل سَّٰجِدُونَ ٱلْ ءَامِرُونَ بِ ٱلْ مَعْرُوفِ وَ ٱل نَّاهُونَ عَنِ ٱلْ مُنكَرِ وَ ٱلْ حَٰفِظُونَ لِ حُدُودِ ٱللَّهِ وَ بَشِّرِ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
[Such believers are] the repentant, the worshippers, the praisers [of Allah], the travelers [for His cause], those who bow and prostrate [in prayer], those who enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and those who observe the limits [set by] Allah. And give good tidings to the believers.
9:117
لَّ قَد تَّابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَى ٱل نَّبِىِّ وَ ٱلْ مُهَٰجِرِينَ وَ ٱلْ أَنصَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُ و هُ فِى سَاعَةِ ٱلْ عُسْرَةِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا كَادَ يَزِيغُ قُلُوبُ فَرِيقٍ مِّنْ هُمْ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْ هِمْ إِنَّ هُۥ بِ هِمْ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Allah has already forgiven the Prophet and the Muhajireen and the Ansar who followed him in the hour of difficulty after the hearts of a party of them had almost inclined [to doubt], and then He forgave them. Indeed, He was to them Kind and Merciful.
9:118
وَ عَلَى ٱل ثَّلَٰثَةِ ٱلَّذِينَ خُلِّفُ وا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْ هِمُ ٱلْ أَرْضُ بِ مَا رَحُبَتْ وَ ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْ هِمْ أَنفُسُ هُمْ وَ ظَنُّ وٓا۟ أَن لَّا مَلْجَأَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّآ إِلَيْ هِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْ هِمْ لِ يَتُوبُ وٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱل تَّوَّابُ ٱل رَّحِيمُ
And [He also forgave] the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allah except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allah is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
9:126
أَ وَ لَا يَرَ وْنَ أَنَّ هُمْ يُفْتَنُ ونَ فِى كُلِّ عَامٍ مَّرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَا يَتُوبُ ونَ وَ لَا هُمْ يَذَّكَّرُ ونَ
Do they not see that they are tried every year once or twice but then they do not repent nor do they remember?
9:15
وَ يُذْهِبْ غَيْظَ قُلُوبِ هِمْ وَ يَتُوبُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ وَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
And remove the fury in the believers' hearts. And Allah turns in forgiveness to whom He wills; and Allah is Knowing and Wise.
9:27
ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ ٱللَّهُ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ وَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Then Allah will accept repentance after that for whom He wills; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
9:3
وَ أَذَٰنٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَ رَسُولِ هِۦٓ إِلَى ٱل نَّاسِ يَوْمَ ٱلْ حَجِّ ٱلْ أَكْبَرِ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَرِىٓءٌ مِّنَ ٱلْ مُشْرِكِينَ وَ رَسُولُ هُۥ فَ إِن تُبْ تُمْ فَ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّ كُمْ وَ إِن تَوَلَّيْ تُمْ فَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ كُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِى ٱللَّهِ وَ بَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُ وا۟ بِ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
And [it is] an announcement from Allah and His Messenger to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage that Allah is disassociated from the disbelievers, and [so is] His Messenger. So if you repent, that is best for you; but if you turn away - then know that you will not cause failure to Allah. And give tidings to those who disbelieve of a painful punishment.
9:5
فَ إِذَا ٱنسَلَخَ ٱلْ أَشْهُرُ ٱلْ حُرُمُ فَ ٱقْتُلُ وا۟ ٱلْ مُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَد تُّمُو هُمْ وَ خُذُ و هُمْ وَ ٱحْصُرُ و هُمْ وَ ٱقْعُدُ وا۟ لَ هُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ فَ إِن تَابُ وا۟ وَ أَقَامُ وا۟ ٱل صَّلَوٰةَ وَ ءَاتَ وُا۟ ٱل زَّكَوٰةَ فَ خَلُّ وا۟ سَبِيلَ هُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
9:74
يَحْلِفُ ونَ بِ ٱللَّهِ مَا قَالُ وا۟ وَ لَ قَدْ قَالُ وا۟ كَلِمَةَ ٱلْ كُفْرِ وَ كَفَرُ وا۟ بَعْدَ إِسْلَٰمِ هِمْ وَ هَمُّ وا۟ بِ مَا لَمْ يَنَالُ وا۟ وَ مَا نَقَمُ وٓا۟ إِلَّآ أَنْ أَغْنَىٰ هُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَ رَسُولُ هُۥ مِن فَضْلِ هِۦ فَ إِن يَتُوبُ وا۟ يَكُ خَيْرًا لَّ هُمْ وَ إِن يَتَوَلَّ وْا۟ يُعَذِّبْ هُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا فِى ٱل دُّنْيَا وَ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةِ وَ مَا لَ هُمْ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَ لَا نَصِيرٍ
They swear by Allah that they did not say [anything against the Prophet] while they had said the word of disbelief and disbelieved after their [pretense of] Islam and planned that which they were not to attain. And they were not resentful except [for the fact] that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them of His bounty. So if they repent, it is better for them; but if they turn away, Allah will punish them with a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And there will not be for them on earth any protector or helper.
