10:56
هُوَ يُحْىِۦ وَ يُمِيتُ وَ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned
11:123
وَ لِ لَّهِ غَيْبُ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ إِلَيْ هِ يُرْجَعُ ٱلْ أَمْرُ كُلُّ هُۥ فَ ٱعْبُدْ هُ وَ تَوَكَّلْ عَلَيْ هِ وَ مَا رَبُّ كَ بِ غَٰفِلٍ عَ مَّا تَعْمَلُ ونَ
And to Allah belong the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth and to Him will be returned the matter, all of it, so worship Him and rely upon Him. And your Lord is not unaware of that which you do.
11:34
وَ لَا يَنفَعُ كُمْ نُصْحِ ىٓ إِنْ أَرَد تُّ أَنْ أَنصَحَ لَ كُمْ إِن كَانَ ٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يُغْوِيَ كُمْ هُوَ رَبُّ كُمْ وَ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
And my advice will not benefit you - although I wished to advise you - If Allah should intend to put you in error. He is your Lord, and to Him you will be returned."
12:46
يُوسُفُ أَيُّهَا ٱل صِّدِّيقُ أَفْتِ نَا فِى سَبْعِ بَقَرَٰتٍ سِمَانٍ يَأْكُلُ هُنَّ سَبْعٌ عِجَافٌ وَ سَبْعِ سُنۢبُلَٰتٍ خُضْرٍ وَ أُخَرَ يَابِسَٰتٍ لَّعَلِّ ىٓ أَرْجِعُ إِلَى ٱل نَّاسِ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَعْلَمُ ونَ
[He said], "Joseph, O man of truth, explain to us about seven fat cows eaten by seven [that were] lean, and seven green spikes [of grain] and others [that were] dry - that I may return to the people; perhaps they will know [about you]."
12:50
وَ قَالَ ٱلْ مَلِكُ ٱئْتُ و نِى بِ هِۦ فَ لَمَّا جَآءَ هُ ٱل رَّسُولُ قَالَ ٱرْجِعْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ كَ فَ سْـَٔلْ هُ مَا بَالُ ٱل نِّسْوَةِ ٱلَّٰتِى قَطَّعْ نَ أَيْدِيَ هُنَّ إِنَّ رَبِّ ى بِ كَيْدِ هِنَّ عَلِيمٌ
And the king said, "Bring him to me." But when the messenger came to him, [Joseph] said, "Return to your master and ask him what is the case of the women who cut their hands. Indeed, my Lord is Knowing of their plan."
12:62
وَ قَالَ لِ فِتْيَٰنِ هِ ٱجْعَلُ وا۟ بِضَٰعَتَ هُمْ فِى رِحَالِ هِمْ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَعْرِفُ ونَ هَآ إِذَا ٱنقَلَبُ وٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِ هِمْ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And [Joseph] said to his servants, "Put their merchandise into their saddlebags so they might recognize it when they have gone back to their people that perhaps they will [again] return."
12:63
فَ لَمَّا رَجَعُ وٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَبِي هِمْ قَالُ وا۟ يَٰٓ أَبَا نَا مُنِعَ مِنَّ ا ٱلْ كَيْلُ فَ أَرْسِلْ مَعَ نَآ أَخَا نَا نَكْتَلْ وَ إِنَّ ا لَ هُۥ لَ حَٰفِظُونَ
So when they returned to their father, they said, "O our father, [further] measure has been denied to us, so send with us our brother [that] we will be given measure. And indeed, we will be his guardians."
12:81
ٱرْجِعُ وٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَبِي كُمْ فَ قُولُ وا۟ يَٰٓ أَبَا نَآ إِنَّ ٱبْنَ كَ سَرَقَ وَ مَا شَهِدْ نَآ إِلَّا بِ مَا عَلِمْ نَا وَ مَا كُ نَّا لِ لْ غَيْبِ حَٰفِظِينَ
Return to your father and say, "O our father, indeed your son has stolen, and we did not testify except to what we knew. And we were not witnesses of the unseen,
19:40
إِنَّ ا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ ٱلْ أَرْضَ وَ مَنْ عَلَيْ هَا وَ إِلَيْ نَا يُرْجَعُ ونَ
Indeed, it is We who will inherit the earth and whoever is on it, and to Us they will be returned.
20:40
إِذْ تَمْشِىٓ أُخْتُ كَ فَ تَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّ كُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكْفُلُ هُۥ فَ رَجَعْ نَٰ كَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّ كَ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُ هَا وَ لَا تَحْزَنَ وَ قَتَلْ تَ نَفْسًا فَ نَجَّيْ نَٰ كَ مِنَ ٱلْ غَمِّ وَ فَتَ نَّٰ كَ فُتُونًا فَ لَبِثْ تَ سِنِينَ فِىٓ أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْ تَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٍ يَٰ مُوسَىٰ
[And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses.
20:86
فَ رَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ هِۦ غَضْبَٰنَ أَسِفًا قَالَ يَٰ قَوْمِ أَ لَمْ يَعِدْ كُمْ رَبُّ كُمْ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا أَ فَ طَالَ عَلَيْ كُمُ ٱلْ عَهْدُ أَمْ أَرَد تُّمْ أَن يَحِلَّ عَلَيْ كُمْ غَضَبٌ مِّن رَّبِّ كُمْ فَ أَخْلَفْ تُم مَّوْعِدِ ى
So Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved. He said, "O my people, did your Lord not make you a good promise? Then, was the time [of its fulfillment] too long for you, or did you wish that wrath from your Lord descend upon you, so you broke your promise [of obedience] to me?"
20:89
أَ فَ لَا يَرَ وْنَ أَ لَّا يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْ هِمْ قَوْلًا وَ لَا يَمْلِكُ لَ هُمْ ضَرًّا وَ لَا نَفْعًا
Did they not see that it could not return to them any speech and that it did not possess for them any harm or benefit?
20:91
قَالُ وا۟ لَن نَّبْرَحَ عَلَيْ هِ عَٰكِفِينَ حَتَّىٰ يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْ نَا مُوسَىٰ
They said, "We will never cease being devoted to the calf until Moses returns to us."
21:13
لَا تَرْكُضُ وا۟ وَ ٱرْجِعُ وٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أُتْرِفْ تُمْ فِي هِ وَ مَسَٰكِنِ كُمْ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُسْـَٔلُ ونَ
[Some angels said], "Do not flee but return to where you were given luxury and to your homes - perhaps you will be questioned."
21:35
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْ مَوْتِ وَ نَبْلُو كُم بِ ٱل شَّرِّ وَ ٱلْ خَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَ إِلَيْ نَا تُرْجَعُ ونَ
Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned.
21:58
فَ جَعَلَ هُمْ جُذَٰذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَّ هُمْ لَعَلَّ هُمْ إِلَيْ هِ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question].
21:64
فَ رَجَعُ وٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِ هِمْ فَ قَالُ وٓا۟ إِنَّ كُمْ أَنتُمُ ٱل ظَّٰلِمُونَ
So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers."
21:93
وَ تَقَطَّعُ وٓا۟ أَمْرَ هُم بَيْنَ هُمْ كُلٌّ إِلَيْ نَا رَٰجِعُونَ
And [yet] they divided their affair among themselves, [but] all to Us will return.
21:95
وَ حَرَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْ نَٰ هَآ أَنَّ هُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And there is prohibition upon [the people of] a city which We have destroyed that they will [ever] return
22:76
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِي هِمْ وَ مَا خَلْفَ هُمْ وَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْ أُمُورُ
He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them. And to Allah will be returned [all] matters.
23:115
أَ فَ حَسِبْ تُمْ أَنَّ مَا خَلَقْ نَٰ كُمْ عَبَثًا وَ أَنَّ كُمْ إِلَيْ نَا لَا تُرْجَعُ ونَ
Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?"
23:60
وَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْتُ ونَ مَآ ءَاتَ وا۟ وَّ قُلُوبُ هُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّ هُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ هِمْ رَٰجِعُونَ
And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord -
23:99
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَ هُمُ ٱلْ مَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ٱرْجِعُ و نِ
[For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back
24:28
فَ إِن لَّمْ تَجِدُ وا۟ فِي هَآ أَحَدًا فَ لَا تَدْخُلُ و هَا حَتَّىٰ يُؤْذَنَ لَ كُمْ وَ إِن قِيلَ لَ كُمُ ٱرْجِعُ وا۟ فَ ٱرْجِعُ وا۟ هُوَ أَزْكَىٰ لَ كُمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ بِ مَا تَعْمَلُ ونَ عَلِيمٌ
And if you do not find anyone therein, do not enter them until permission has been given you. And if it is said to you, "Go back," then go back; it is purer for you. And Allah is Knowing of what you do.
24:64
أَلَآ إِنَّ لِ لَّهِ مَا فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ قَدْ يَعْلَمُ مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْ هِ وَ يَوْمَ يُرْجَعُ ونَ إِلَيْ هِ فَ يُنَبِّئُ هُم بِ مَا عَمِلُ وا۟ وَ ٱللَّهُ بِ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌۢ
Unquestionably, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. Already He knows that upon which you [stand] and [knows] the Day when they will be returned to Him and He will inform them of what they have done. And Allah is Knowing of all things.
27:28
ٱذْهَب بِّ كِتَٰبِى هَٰذَا فَ أَلْقِ هْ إِلَيْ هِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْ هُمْ فَ ٱنظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُ ونَ
Take this letter of mine and deliver it to them. Then leave them and see what [answer] they will return."
27:35
وَ إِنِّ ى مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْ هِم بِ هَدِيَّةٍ فَ نَاظِرَةٌۢ بِ مَ يَرْجِعُ ٱلْ مُرْسَلُونَ
But indeed, I will send to them a gift and see with what [reply] the messengers will return."
27:37
ٱرْجِعْ إِلَيْ هِمْ فَ لَ نَأْتِيَ نَّ هُم بِ جُنُودٍ لَّا قِبَلَ لَ هُم بِ هَا وَ لَ نُخْرِجَ نَّ هُم مِّنْ هَآ أَذِلَّةً وَ هُمْ صَٰغِرُونَ
Return to them, for we will surely come to them with soldiers that they will be powerless to encounter, and we will surely expel them therefrom in humiliation, and they will be debased."
28:39
وَ ٱسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَ جُنُودُ هُۥ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ بِ غَيْرِ ٱلْ حَقِّ وَ ظَنُّ وٓا۟ أَنَّ هُمْ إِلَيْ نَا لَا يُرْجَعُ ونَ
And he was arrogant, he and his soldiers, in the land, without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us.
28:70
وَ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ لَ هُ ٱلْ حَمْدُ فِى ٱلْ أُولَىٰ وَ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةِ وَ لَ هُ ٱلْ حُكْمُ وَ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
And He is Allah; there is no deity except Him. To Him is [due all] praise in the first [life] and the Hereafter. And His is the [final] decision, and to Him you will be returned.
28:88
وَ لَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ كُلُّ شَىْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَ هُۥ لَ هُ ٱلْ حُكْمُ وَ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
And do not invoke with Allah another deity. There is no deity except Him. Everything will be destroyed except His Face. His is the judgement, and to Him you will be returned.
29:17
إِنَّ مَا تَعْبُدُ ونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْثَٰنًا وَ تَخْلُقُ ونَ إِفْكًا إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُ ونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَمْلِكُ ونَ لَ كُمْ رِزْقًا فَ ٱبْتَغُ وا۟ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱل رِّزْقَ وَ ٱعْبُدُ و هُ وَ ٱشْكُرُ وا۟ لَ هُۥٓ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned."
29:57
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْ مَوْتِ ثُمَّ إِلَيْ نَا تُرْجَعُ ونَ
Every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned.
2:156
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَٰبَتْ هُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُ وٓا۟ إِنَّ ا لِ لَّهِ وَ إِنَّ آ إِلَيْ هِ رَٰجِعُونَ
Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return."
2:18
صُمٌّۢ بُكْمٌ عُمْىٌ فَ هُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُ ونَ
Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path].
2:196
وَ أَتِمُّ وا۟ ٱلْ حَجَّ وَ ٱلْ عُمْرَةَ لِ لَّهِ فَ إِنْ أُحْصِرْ تُمْ فَ مَا ٱسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ ٱلْ هَدْىِ وَ لَا تَحْلِقُ وا۟ رُءُوسَ كُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ ٱلْ هَدْىُ مَحِلَّ هُۥ فَ مَن كَانَ مِن كُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ بِ هِۦٓ أَذًى مِّن رَّأْسِ هِۦ فَ فِدْيَةٌ مِّن صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ فَ إِذَآ أَمِن تُمْ فَ مَن تَمَتَّعَ بِ ٱلْ عُمْرَةِ إِلَى ٱلْ حَجِّ فَ مَا ٱسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ ٱلْ هَدْىِ فَ مَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَ صِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِى ٱلْ حَجِّ وَ سَبْعَةٍ إِذَا رَجَعْ تُمْ تِلْكَ عَشَرَةٌ كَامِلَةٌ ذَٰلِكَ لِ مَن لَّمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُ هُۥ حَاضِرِى ٱلْ مَسْجِدِ ٱلْ حَرَامِ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٱعْلَمُ وٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْ عِقَابِ
And complete the Hajj and 'umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then [offer] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter. And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making shaving necessary must offer] a ransom of fasting [three days] or charity or sacrifice. And when you are secure, then whoever performs 'umrah [during the Hajj months] followed by Hajj [offers] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And whoever cannot find [or afford such an animal] - then a fast of three days during Hajj and of seven when you have returned [home]. Those are ten complete [days]. This is for those whose family is not in the area of al-Masjid al-Haram. And fear Allah and know that Allah is severe in penalty.
2:210
هَلْ يَنظُرُ ونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَأْتِيَ هُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِى ظُلَلٍ مِّنَ ٱلْ غَمَامِ وَ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَ قُضِىَ ٱلْ أَمْرُ وَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْ أُمُورُ
Do they await but that Allah should come to them in covers of clouds and the angels [as well] and the matter is [then] decided? And to Allah [all] matters are returned.
2:245
مَّن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يُقْرِضُ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَ يُضَٰعِفَ هُۥ لَ هُۥٓ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً وَ ٱللَّهُ يَقْبِضُ وَ يَبْصُۜطُ وَ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned.
2:28
كَيْفَ تَكْفُرُ ونَ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ كُن تُمْ أَمْوَٰتًا فَ أَحْيَٰ كُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُ كُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِي كُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
How can you disbelieve in Allah when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you [back] to life, and then to Him you will be returned.
2:281
وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ يَوْمًا تُرْجَعُ ونَ فِي هِ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَ هُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُ ونَ
And fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah. Then every soul will be compensated for what it earned, and they will not be treated unjustly.
2:46
ٱلَّذِينَ يَظُنُّ ونَ أَنَّ هُم مُّلَٰقُوا۟ رَبِّ هِمْ وَ أَنَّ هُمْ إِلَيْ هِ رَٰجِعُونَ
Who are certain that they will meet their Lord and that they will return to Him.
30:11
ٱللَّهُ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْ خَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُ هُۥ ثُمَّ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
Allah begins creation; then He will repeat it; then to Him you will be returned.
30:41
ظَهَرَ ٱلْ فَسَادُ فِى ٱلْ بَرِّ وَ ٱلْ بَحْرِ بِ مَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِى ٱل نَّاسِ لِ يُذِيقَ هُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُ وا۟ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].
32:11
قُلْ يَتَوَفَّىٰ كُم مَّلَكُ ٱلْ مَوْتِ ٱلَّذِى وُكِّلَ بِ كُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ كُمْ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned."
32:12
وَ لَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلْ مُجْرِمُونَ نَاكِسُوا۟ رُءُوسِ هِمْ عِندَ رَبِّ هِمْ رَبَّ نَآ أَبْصَرْ نَا وَ سَمِعْ نَا فَ ٱرْجِعْ نَا نَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحًا إِنَّ ا مُوقِنُونَ
If you could but see when the criminals are hanging their heads before their Lord, [saying], "Our Lord, we have seen and heard, so return us [to the world]; we will work righteousness. Indeed, we are [now] certain."
32:21
وَ لَ نُذِيقَ نَّ هُم مِّنَ ٱلْ عَذَابِ ٱلْ أَدْنَىٰ دُونَ ٱلْ عَذَابِ ٱلْ أَكْبَرِ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And we will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will repent.
33:13
وَ إِذْ قَالَت طَّآئِفَةٌ مِّنْ هُمْ يَٰٓ أَهْلَ يَثْرِبَ لَا مُقَامَ لَ كُمْ فَ ٱرْجِعُ وا۟ وَ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْ هُمُ ٱل نَّبِىَّ يَقُولُ ونَ إِنَّ بُيُوتَ نَا عَوْرَةٌ وَ مَا هِىَ بِ عَوْرَةٍ إِن يُرِيدُ ونَ إِلَّا فِرَارًا
And when a faction of them said, "O people of Yathrib, there is no stability for you [here], so return [home]." And a party of them asked permission of the Prophet, saying, "Indeed, our houses are unprotected," while they were not exposed. They did not intend except to flee.
34:31
وَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُ وا۟ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ بِ هَٰذَا ٱلْ قُرْءَانِ وَ لَا بِ ٱلَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْ هِ وَ لَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱل ظَّٰلِمُونَ مَوْقُوفُونَ عِندَ رَبِّ هِمْ يَرْجِعُ بَعْضُ هُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ٱلْ قَوْلَ يَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُ وا۟ لِ لَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُ وا۟ لَوْلَآ أَنتُمْ لَ كُ نَّا مُؤْمِنِينَ
And those who disbelieve say, "We will never believe in this Qur'an nor in that before it." But if you could see when the wrongdoers are made to stand before their Lord, refuting each other's words... Those who were oppressed will say to those who were arrogant, "If not for you, we would have been believers."
35:4
وَ إِن يُكَذِّبُ و كَ فَ قَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِ كَ وَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْ أُمُورُ
And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - already were messengers denied before you. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.
36:22
وَ مَا لِ ىَ لَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَ نِى وَ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
And why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned?
36:31
أَ لَمْ يَرَ وْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْ نَا قَبْلَ هُم مِّنَ ٱلْ قُرُونِ أَنَّ هُمْ إِلَيْ هِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُ ونَ
Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?
36:50
فَ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ ونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَ لَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِ هِمْ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return.
36:67
وَ لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَ مَسَخْ نَٰ هُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِ هِمْ فَ مَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُ وا۟ مُضِيًّا وَ لَا يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And if We willed, We could have deformed them, [paralyzing them] in their places so they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return.
36:83
فَ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى بِ يَدِ هِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
So exalted is He in whose hand is the realm of all things, and to Him you will be returned.
39:44
قُل لِّ لَّهِ ٱل شَّفَٰعَةُ جَمِيعًا لَّ هُۥ مُلْكُ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ ثُمَّ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
Say, "To Allah belongs [the right to allow] intercession entirely. To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Then to Him you will be returned."
3:109
وَ لِ لَّهِ مَا فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ مَا فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْ أُمُورُ
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And to Allah will [all] matters be returned.
3:72
وَ قَالَت طَّآئِفَةٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْ كِتَٰبِ ءَامِنُ وا۟ بِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَجْهَ ٱل نَّهَارِ وَ ٱكْفُرُ وٓا۟ ءَاخِرَ هُۥ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And a faction of the People of the Scripture say [to each other], "Believe in that which was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day and reject it at its end that perhaps they will abandon their religion,
3:83
أَ فَ غَيْرَ دِينِ ٱللَّهِ يَبْغُ ونَ وَ لَ هُۥٓ أَسْلَمَ مَن فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَ كَرْهًا وَ إِلَيْ هِ يُرْجَعُ ونَ
So is it other than the religion of Allah they desire, while to Him have submitted [all] those within the heavens and earth, willingly or by compulsion, and to Him they will be returned?
40:77
فَ ٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَ إِمَّا نُرِيَ نَّ كَ بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى نَعِدُ هُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَ نَّ كَ فَ إِلَيْ نَا يُرْجَعُ ونَ
So be patient, [O Muhammad]; indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, it is to Us they will be returned.
41:21
وَ قَالُ وا۟ لِ جُلُودِ هِمْ لِ مَ شَهِد تُّمْ عَلَيْ نَا قَالُ وٓا۟ أَنطَقَ نَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنطَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ وَ هُوَ خَلَقَ كُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
And they will say to their skins, "Why have you testified against us?" They will say, "We were made to speak by Allah, who has made everything speak; and He created you the first time, and to Him you are returned.
41:50
وَ لَ ئِنْ أَذَقْ نَٰ هُ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّ ا مِنۢ بَعْدِ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْ هُ لَ يَقُولَ نَّ هَٰذَا لِ ى وَ مَآ أَظُنُّ ٱل سَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةً وَ لَ ئِن رُّجِعْ تُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ ىٓ إِنَّ لِ ى عِندَ هُۥ لَ لْ حُسْنَىٰ فَ لَ نُنَبِّئَ نَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُ وا۟ بِ مَا عَمِلُ وا۟ وَ لَ نُذِيقَ نَّ هُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ
And if We let him taste mercy from Us after an adversity which has touched him, he will surely say, "This is [due] to me, and I do not think the Hour will occur; and [even] if I should be returned to my Lord, indeed, for me there will be with Him the best." But We will surely inform those who disbelieved about what they did, and We will surely make them taste a massive punishment.
43:28
وَ جَعَلَ هَا كَلِمَةًۢ بَاقِيَةً فِى عَقِبِ هِۦ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And he made it a word remaining among his descendants that they might return [to it].
43:48
وَ مَا نُرِي هِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ إِلَّا هِىَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِ هَا وَ أَخَذْ نَٰ هُم بِ ٱلْ عَذَابِ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [to faith].
43:85
وَ تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى لَ هُۥ مُلْكُ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ مَا بَيْنَ هُمَا وَ عِندَ هُۥ عِلْمُ ٱل سَّاعَةِ وَ إِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
And blessed is He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them and with whom is knowledge of the Hour and to whom you will be returned.
45:15
مَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا فَ لِ نَفْسِ هِۦ وَ مَنْ أَسَآءَ فَ عَلَيْ هَا ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ كُمْ تُرْجَعُ ونَ
Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against the self. Then to your Lord you will be returned.
46:27
وَ لَ قَدْ أَهْلَكْ نَا مَا حَوْلَ كُم مِّنَ ٱلْ قُرَىٰ وَ صَرَّفْ نَا ٱلْ ءَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And We have already destroyed what surrounds you of [those] cities, and We have diversified the signs [or verses] that perhaps they might return [from disbelief].
56:87
تَرْجِعُ ونَ هَآ إِن كُن تُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
Bring it back, if you should be truthful?
57:13
يَوْمَ يَقُولُ ٱلْ مُنَٰفِقُونَ وَ ٱلْ مُنَٰفِقَٰتُ لِ لَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ ٱنظُرُ و نَا نَقْتَبِسْ مِن نُّورِ كُمْ قِيلَ ٱرْجِعُ وا۟ وَرَآءَ كُمْ فَ ٱلْتَمِسُ وا۟ نُورًا فَ ضُرِبَ بَيْنَ هُم بِ سُورٍ لَّ هُۥ بَابٌۢ بَاطِنُ هُۥ فِي هِ ٱل رَّحْمَةُ وَ ظَٰهِرُ هُۥ مِن قِبَلِ هِ ٱلْ عَذَابُ
On the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, "Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you and seek light." And a wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the outside of it is torment.
57:5
لَّ هُۥ مُلْكُ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ وَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْ أُمُورُ
His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.
60:10
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وٓا۟ إِذَا جَآءَ كُمُ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنَٰتُ مُهَٰجِرَٰتٍ فَ ٱمْتَحِنُ و هُنَّ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِ إِيمَٰنِ هِنَّ فَ إِنْ عَلِمْ تُمُو هُنَّ مُؤْمِنَٰتٍ فَ لَا تَرْجِعُ و هُنَّ إِلَى ٱلْ كُفَّارِ لَا هُنَّ حِلٌّ لَّ هُمْ وَ لَا هُمْ يَحِلُّ ونَ لَ هُنَّ وَ ءَاتُ و هُم مَّآ أَنفَقُ وا۟ وَ لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْ كُمْ أَن تَنكِحُ و هُنَّ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْ تُمُو هُنَّ أُجُورَ هُنَّ وَ لَا تُمْسِكُ وا۟ بِ عِصَمِ ٱلْ كَوَافِرِ وَ سْـَٔلُ وا۟ مَآ أَنفَقْ تُمْ وَ لْ يَسْـَٔلُ وا۟ مَآ أَنفَقُ وا۟ ذَٰلِكُمْ حُكْمُ ٱللَّهِ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ كُمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
O you who have believed, when the believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them. Allah is most knowing as to their faith. And if you know them to be believers, then do not return them to the disbelievers; they are not lawful [wives] for them, nor are they lawful [husbands] for them. But give the disbelievers what they have spent. And there is no blame upon you if you marry them when you have given them their due compensation. And hold not to marriage bonds with disbelieving women, but ask for what you have spent and let them ask for what they have spent. That is the judgement of Allah; He judges between you. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
63:8
يَقُولُ ونَ لَ ئِن رَّجَعْ نَآ إِلَى ٱلْ مَدِينَةِ لَ يُخْرِجَ نَّ ٱلْ أَعَزُّ مِنْ هَا ٱلْ أَذَلَّ وَ لِ لَّهِ ٱلْ عِزَّةُ وَ لِ رَسُولِ هِۦ وَ لِ لْ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَ لَٰكِنَّ ٱلْ مُنَٰفِقِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُ ونَ
They say, "If we return to al-Madinah, the more honored [for power] will surely expel therefrom the more humble." And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.
67:3
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٍ طِبَاقًا مَّا تَرَىٰ فِى خَلْقِ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنِ مِن تَفَٰوُتٍ فَ ٱرْجِعِ ٱلْ بَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٍ
[And] who created seven heavens in layers. You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks?
67:4
ثُمَّ ٱرْجِعِ ٱلْ بَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْ كَ ٱلْ بَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَ هُوَ حَسِيرٌ
Then return [your] vision twice again. [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued.
6:36
إِنَّ مَا يَسْتَجِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُ ونَ وَ ٱلْ مَوْتَىٰ يَبْعَثُ هُمُ ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْ هِ يُرْجَعُ ونَ
Only those who hear will respond. But the dead - Allah will resurrect them; then to Him they will be returned.
7:150
وَ لَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ هِۦ غَضْبَٰنَ أَسِفًا قَالَ بِئْسَ مَا خَلَفْ تُمُو نِى مِنۢ بَعْدِ ىٓ أَ عَجِلْ تُمْ أَمْرَ رَبِّ كُمْ وَ أَلْقَى ٱلْ أَلْوَاحَ وَ أَخَذَ بِ رَأْسِ أَخِي هِ يَجُرُّ هُۥٓ إِلَيْ هِ قَالَ ٱبْنَ أُمَّ إِنَّ ٱلْ قَوْمَ ٱسْتَضْعَفُ و نِى وَ كَادُ وا۟ يَقْتُلُ ونَ نِى فَ لَا تُشْمِتْ بِ ىَ ٱلْ أَعْدَآءَ وَ لَا تَجْعَلْ نِى مَعَ ٱلْ قَوْمِ ٱل ظَّٰلِمِينَ
And when Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said, "How wretched is that by which you have replaced me after [my departure]. Were you impatient over the matter of your Lord?" And he threw down the tablets and seized his brother by [the hair of] his head, pulling him toward him. [Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, indeed the people oppressed me and were about to kill me, so let not the enemies rejoice over me and do not place me among the wrongdoing people."
7:168
وَ قَطَّعْ نَٰ هُمْ فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ أُمَمًا مِّنْ هُمُ ٱل صَّٰلِحُونَ وَ مِنْ هُمْ دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَ بَلَوْ نَٰ هُم بِ ٱلْ حَسَنَٰتِ وَ ٱل سَّيِّـَٔاتِ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And We divided them throughout the earth into nations. Of them some were righteous, and of them some were otherwise. And We tested them with good [times] and bad that perhaps they would return [to obedience].
7:174
وَ كَ ذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْ ءَايَٰتِ وَ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَرْجِعُ ونَ
And thus do We [explain in] detail the verses, and perhaps they will return.
89:28
ٱرْجِعِ ىٓ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ كِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],
8:44
وَ إِذْ يُرِي كُمُو هُمْ إِذِ ٱلْتَقَيْ تُمْ فِىٓ أَعْيُنِ كُمْ قَلِيلًا وَ يُقَلِّلُ كُمْ فِىٓ أَعْيُنِ هِمْ لِ يَقْضِىَ ٱللَّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولًا وَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْ أُمُورُ
And [remember] when He showed them to you, when you met, as few in your eyes, and He made you [appear] as few in their eyes so that Allah might accomplish a matter already destined. And to Allah are [all] matters returned.
9:122
وَ مَا كَانَ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنُونَ لِ يَنفِرُ وا۟ كَآفَّةً فَ لَوْلَا نَفَرَ مِن كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِّنْ هُمْ طَآئِفَةٌ لِّ يَتَفَقَّهُ وا۟ فِى ٱل دِّينِ وَ لِ يُنذِرُ وا۟ قَوْمَ هُمْ إِذَا رَجَعُ وٓا۟ إِلَيْ هِمْ لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَحْذَرُ ونَ
And it is not for the believers to go forth [to battle] all at once. For there should separate from every division of them a group [remaining] to obtain understanding in the religion and warn their people when they return to them that they might be cautious.
9:83
فَ إِن رَّجَعَ كَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَىٰ طَآئِفَةٍ مِّنْ هُمْ فَ ٱسْتَـْٔذَنُ و كَ لِ لْ خُرُوجِ فَ قُل لَّن تَخْرُجُ وا۟ مَعِ ىَ أَبَدًا وَ لَن تُقَٰتِلُ وا۟ مَعِ ىَ عَدُوًّا إِنَّ كُمْ رَضِي تُم بِ ٱلْ قُعُودِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ فَ ٱقْعُدُ وا۟ مَعَ ٱلْ خَٰلِفِينَ
If Allah should return you to a faction of them [after the expedition] and then they ask your permission to go out [to battle], say, "You will not go out with me, ever, and you will never fight with me an enemy. Indeed, you were satisfied with sitting [at home] the first time, so sit [now] with those who stay behind."
9:94
يَعْتَذِرُ ونَ إِلَيْ كُمْ إِذَا رَجَعْ تُمْ إِلَيْ هِمْ قُل لَّا تَعْتَذِرُ وا۟ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ لَ كُمْ قَدْ نَبَّأَ نَا ٱللَّهُ مِنْ أَخْبَارِ كُمْ وَ سَ يَرَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَلَ كُمْ وَ رَسُولُ هُۥ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّ ونَ إِلَىٰ عَٰلِمِ ٱلْ غَيْبِ وَ ٱل شَّهَٰدَةِ فَ يُنَبِّئُ كُم بِ مَا كُن تُمْ تَعْمَلُ ونَ
They will make excuses to you when you have returned to them. Say, "Make no excuse - never will we believe you. Allah has already informed us of your news. And Allah will observe your deeds, and [so will] His Messenger; then you will be taken back to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you of what you used to do."
