102:8
ثُمَّ لَ تُسْـَٔلُ نَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱل نَّعِيمِ
Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.
10:72
فَ إِن تَوَلَّيْ تُمْ فَ مَا سَأَلْ تُ كُم مِّنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِ ىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَ أُمِرْ تُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْ مُسْلِمِينَ
And if you turn away [from my advice] then no payment have I asked of you. My reward is only from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims."
10:94
فَ إِن كُن تَ فِى شَكٍّ مِّ مَّآ أَنزَلْ نَآ إِلَيْ كَ فَ سْـَٔلِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقْرَءُ ونَ ٱلْ كِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِ كَ لَ قَدْ جَآءَ كَ ٱلْ حَقُّ مِن رَّبِّ كَ فَ لَا تَكُونَ نَّ مِنَ ٱلْ مُمْتَرِينَ
So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters.
11:29
وَ يَٰ قَوْمِ لَآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مَالًا إِنْ أَجْرِ ىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَ مَآ أَنَا۠ بِ طَارِدِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وٓا۟ إِنَّ هُم مُّلَٰقُوا۟ رَبِّ هِمْ وَ لَٰكِنِّ ىٓ أَرَىٰ كُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُ ونَ
And O my people, I ask not of you for it any wealth. My reward is not but from Allah. And I am not one to drive away those who have believed. Indeed, they will meet their Lord, but I see that you are a people behaving ignorantly.
11:46
قَالَ يَٰ نُوحُ إِنَّ هُۥ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِ كَ إِنَّ هُۥ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَٰلِحٍ فَ لَا تَسْـَٔلْ نِ مَا لَيْسَ لَ كَ بِ هِۦ عِلْمٌ إِنِّ ىٓ أَعِظُ كَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْ جَٰهِلِينَ
He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one whose] work was other than righteous, so ask Me not for that about which you have no knowledge. Indeed, I advise you, lest you be among the ignorant."
11:47
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّ ىٓ أَعُوذُ بِ كَ أَنْ أَسْـَٔلَ كَ مَا لَيْسَ لِ ى بِ هِۦ عِلْمٌ وَ إِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِ ى وَ تَرْحَمْ نِىٓ أَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْ خَٰسِرِينَ
[Noah] said, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers."
11:51
يَٰ قَوْمِ لَآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ أَجْرًا إِنْ أَجْرِ ىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَ نِىٓ أَ فَ لَا تَعْقِلُ ونَ
O my people, I do not ask you for it any reward. My reward is only from the one who created me. Then will you not reason?
12:104
وَ مَا تَسْـَٔلُ هُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّ لْ عَٰلَمِينَ
And you do not ask of them for it any payment. It is not except a reminder to the worlds.
12:50
وَ قَالَ ٱلْ مَلِكُ ٱئْتُ و نِى بِ هِۦ فَ لَمَّا جَآءَ هُ ٱل رَّسُولُ قَالَ ٱرْجِعْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ كَ فَ سْـَٔلْ هُ مَا بَالُ ٱل نِّسْوَةِ ٱلَّٰتِى قَطَّعْ نَ أَيْدِيَ هُنَّ إِنَّ رَبِّ ى بِ كَيْدِ هِنَّ عَلِيمٌ
And the king said, "Bring him to me." But when the messenger came to him, [Joseph] said, "Return to your master and ask him what is the case of the women who cut their hands. Indeed, my Lord is Knowing of their plan."
12:7
لَّ قَدْ كَانَ فِى يُوسُفَ وَ إِخْوَتِ هِۦٓ ءَايَٰتٌ لِّ ل سَّآئِلِينَ
Certainly were there in Joseph and his brothers signs for those who ask,
12:82
وَ سْـَٔلِ ٱلْ قَرْيَةَ ٱلَّتِى كُ نَّا فِي هَا وَ ٱلْ عِيرَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَقْبَلْ نَا فِي هَا وَ إِنَّ ا لَ صَٰدِقُونَ
And ask the city in which we were and the caravan in which we came - and indeed, we are truthful,"
14:34
وَ ءَاتَىٰ كُم مِّن كُلِّ مَا سَأَلْ تُمُو هُ وَ إِن تَعُدُّ وا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُ و هَآ إِنَّ ٱلْ إِنسَٰنَ لَ ظَلُومٌ كَفَّارٌ
And He gave you from all you asked of Him. And if you should count the favor of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful.
15:92
فَ وَ رَبِّ كَ لَ نَسْـَٔلَ نَّ هُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
So by your Lord, We will surely question them all
16:43
وَ مَآ أَرْسَلْ نَا مِن قَبْلِ كَ إِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْ هِمْ فَ سْـَٔلُ وٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱل ذِّكْرِ إِن كُن تُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُ ونَ
And We sent not before you except men to whom We revealed [Our message]. So ask the people of the message if you do not know.
16:56
وَ يَجْعَلُ ونَ لِ مَا لَا يَعْلَمُ ونَ نَصِيبًا مِّ مَّا رَزَقْ نَٰ هُمْ تَ ٱللَّهِ لَ تُسْـَٔلُ نَّ عَ مَّا كُن تُمْ تَفْتَرُ ونَ
And they assign to what they do not know a portion of that which We have provided them. By Allah, you will surely be questioned about what you used to invent.
16:93
وَ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَ جَعَلَ كُمْ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً وَ لَٰكِن يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ وَ لَ تُسْـَٔلُ نَّ عَ مَّا كُن تُمْ تَعْمَلُ ونَ
And if Allah had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do.
17:101
وَ لَ قَدْ ءَاتَيْ نَا مُوسَىٰ تِسْعَ ءَايَٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَٰتٍ فَ سْـَٔلْ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ إِذْ جَآءَ هُمْ فَ قَالَ لَ هُۥ فِرْعَوْنُ إِنِّ ى لَ أَظُنُّ كَ يَٰ مُوسَىٰ مَسْحُورًا
And We had certainly given Moses nine evident signs, so ask the Children of Israel [about] when he came to them and Pharaoh said to him, "Indeed I think, O Moses, that you are affected by magic."
17:34
وَ لَا تَقْرَبُ وا۟ مَالَ ٱلْ يَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِ ٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّ هُۥ وَ أَوْفُ وا۟ بِ ٱلْ عَهْدِ إِنَّ ٱلْ عَهْدَ كَانَ مَسْـُٔولًا
And do not approach the property of an orphan, except in the way that is best, until he reaches maturity. And fulfill [every] commitment. Indeed, the commitment is ever [that about which one will be] questioned.
17:36
وَ لَا تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَ كَ بِ هِۦ عِلْمٌ إِنَّ ٱل سَّمْعَ وَ ٱلْ بَصَرَ وَ ٱلْ فُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ كَانَ عَنْ هُ مَسْـُٔولًا
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.
17:85
وَ يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱل رُّوحِ قُلِ ٱل رُّوحُ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّ ى وَ مَآ أُوتِي تُم مِّنَ ٱلْ عِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair of my Lord. And mankind have not been given of knowledge except a little."
18:70
قَالَ فَ إِنِ ٱتَّبَعْ تَ نِى فَ لَا تَسْـَٔلْ نِى عَن شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ أُحْدِثَ لَ كَ مِنْ هُ ذِكْرًا
He said, "Then if you follow me, do not ask me about anything until I make to you about it mention."
18:76
قَالَ إِن سَأَلْ تُ كَ عَن شَىْءٍۭ بَعْدَ هَا فَ لَا تُصَٰحِبْ نِى قَدْ بَلَغْ تَ مِن لَّدُنِّ ى عُذْرًا
[Moses] said, "If I should ask you about anything after this, then do not keep me as a companion. You have obtained from me an excuse."
18:83
وَ يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَن ذِى ٱلْ قَرْنَيْنِ قُلْ سَ أَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْ كُم مِّنْ هُ ذِكْرًا
And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about Dhul-Qarnayn. Say, "I will recite to you about him a report."
20:105
وَ يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱلْ جِبَالِ فَ قُلْ يَنسِفُ هَا رَبِّ ى نَسْفًا
And they ask you about the mountains, so say, "My Lord will blow them away with a blast.
20:132
وَ أْمُرْ أَهْلَ كَ بِ ٱل صَّلَوٰةِ وَ ٱصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْ هَا لَا نَسْـَٔلُ كَ رِزْقًا نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُ كَ وَ ٱلْ عَٰقِبَةُ لِ ل تَّقْوَىٰ
And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein. We ask you not for provision; We provide for you, and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness.
21:13
لَا تَرْكُضُ وا۟ وَ ٱرْجِعُ وٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أُتْرِفْ تُمْ فِي هِ وَ مَسَٰكِنِ كُمْ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُسْـَٔلُ ونَ
[Some angels said], "Do not flee but return to where you were given luxury and to your homes - perhaps you will be questioned."
21:23
لَا يُسْـَٔلُ عَ مَّا يَفْعَلُ وَ هُمْ يُسْـَٔلُ ونَ
He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned.
21:63
قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَ هُۥ كَبِيرُ هُمْ هَٰذَا فَ سْـَٔلُ و هُمْ إِن كَانُ وا۟ يَنطِقُ ونَ
He said, "Rather, this - the largest of them - did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak."
21:7
وَ مَآ أَرْسَلْ نَا قَبْلَ كَ إِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْ هِمْ فَ سْـَٔلُ وٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱل ذِّكْرِ إِن كُن تُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُ ونَ
And We sent not before you, [O Muhammad], except men to whom We revealed [the message], so ask the people of the message if you do not know.
23:113
قَالُ وا۟ لَبِثْ نَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَ سْـَٔلِ ٱلْ عَآدِّينَ
They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate."
23:72
أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُ هُمْ خَرْجًا فَ خَرَاجُ رَبِّ كَ خَيْرٌ وَ هُوَ خَيْرُ ٱل رَّٰزِقِينَ
Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers.
25:16
لَّ هُمْ فِي هَا مَا يَشَآءُ ونَ خَٰلِدِينَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّ كَ وَعْدًا مَّسْـُٔولًا
For them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested.
25:57
قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّ هِۦ سَبِيلًا
Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."
25:59
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضَ وَ مَا بَيْنَ هُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْ عَرْشِ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنُ فَ سْـَٔلْ بِ هِۦ خَبِيرًا
He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed.
26:109
وَ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِ ىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْ عَٰلَمِينَ
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
26:127
وَ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِ ىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْ عَٰلَمِينَ
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
26:145
وَ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِ ىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْ عَٰلَمِينَ
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
26:164
وَ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِ ىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْ عَٰلَمِينَ
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
26:180
وَ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِ ىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْ عَٰلَمِينَ
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
28:78
قَالَ إِنَّ مَآ أُوتِي تُ هُۥ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عِندِ ىٓ أَ وَ لَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدْ أَهْلَكَ مِن قَبْلِ هِۦ مِنَ ٱلْ قُرُونِ مَنْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْ هُ قُوَّةً وَ أَكْثَرُ جَمْعًا وَ لَا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذُنُوبِ هِمُ ٱلْ مُجْرِمُونَ
He said, "I was only given it because of knowledge I have." Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him of generations those who were greater than him in power and greater in accumulation [of wealth]? But the criminals, about their sins, will not be asked.
29:13
وَ لَ يَحْمِلُ نَّ أَثْقَالَ هُمْ وَ أَثْقَالًا مَّعَ أَثْقَالِ هِمْ وَ لَ يُسْـَٔلُ نَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ عَ مَّا كَانُ وا۟ يَفْتَرُ ونَ
But they will surely carry their [own] burdens and [other] burdens along with their burdens, and they will surely be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about what they used to invent.
29:61
وَ لَ ئِن سَأَلْ تَ هُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضَ وَ سَخَّرَ ٱل شَّمْسَ وَ ٱلْ قَمَرَ لَ يَقُولُ نَّ ٱللَّهُ فَ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُ ونَ
If you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth and subjected the sun and the moon?" they would surely say, "Allah." Then how are they deluded?
29:63
وَ لَ ئِن سَأَلْ تَ هُم مَّن نَّزَّلَ مِنَ ٱل سَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَ أَحْيَا بِ هِ ٱلْ أَرْضَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَوْتِ هَا لَ يَقُولُ نَّ ٱللَّهُ قُلِ ٱلْ حَمْدُ لِ لَّهِ بَلْ أَكْثَرُ هُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُ ونَ
And if you asked them, "Who sends down rain from the sky and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness?" they would surely say " Allah." Say, "Praise to Allah "; but most of them do not reason.
2:108
أَمْ تُرِيدُ ونَ أَن تَسْـَٔلُ وا۟ رَسُولَ كُمْ كَ مَا سُئِلَ مُوسَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ وَ مَن يَتَبَدَّلِ ٱلْ كُفْرَ بِ ٱلْ إِيمَٰنِ فَ قَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱل سَّبِيلِ
Or do you intend to ask your Messenger as Moses was asked before? And whoever exchanges faith for disbelief has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.
2:119
إِنَّ آ أَرْسَلْ نَٰ كَ بِ ٱلْ حَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَ نَذِيرًا وَ لَا تُسْـَٔلُ عَنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْ جَحِيمِ
Indeed, We have sent you, [O Muhammad], with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner, and you will not be asked about the companions of Hellfire.
2:134
تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ لَ هَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَ لَ كُم مَّا كَسَبْ تُمْ وَ لَا تُسْـَٔلُ ونَ عَ مَّا كَانُ وا۟ يَعْمَلُ ونَ
That was a nation which has passed on. It will have [the consequence of] what it earned, and you will have what you have earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do.
2:141
تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ لَ هَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَ لَ كُم مَّا كَسَبْ تُمْ وَ لَا تُسْـَٔلُ ونَ عَ مَّا كَانُ وا۟ يَعْمَلُ ونَ
That is a nation which has passed on. It will have [the consequence of] what it earned, and you will have what you have earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do.
2:177
لَّيْسَ ٱلْ بِرَّ أَن تُوَلُّ وا۟ وُجُوهَ كُمْ قِبَلَ ٱلْ مَشْرِقِ وَ ٱلْ مَغْرِبِ وَ لَٰكِنَّ ٱلْ بِرَّ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱلْ يَوْمِ ٱلْ ءَاخِرِ وَ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةِ وَ ٱلْ كِتَٰبِ وَ ٱل نَّبِيِّۦنَ وَ ءَاتَى ٱلْ مَالَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّ هِۦ ذَوِى ٱلْ قُرْبَىٰ وَ ٱلْ يَتَٰمَىٰ وَ ٱلْ مَسَٰكِينَ وَ ٱبْنَ ٱل سَّبِيلِ وَ ٱل سَّآئِلِينَ وَ فِى ٱل رِّقَابِ وَ أَقَامَ ٱل صَّلَوٰةَ وَ ءَاتَى ٱل زَّكَوٰةَ وَ ٱلْ مُوفُونَ بِ عَهْدِ هِمْ إِذَا عَٰهَدُ وا۟ وَ ٱل صَّٰبِرِينَ فِى ٱلْ بَأْسَآءِ وَ ٱل ضَّرَّآءِ وَ حِينَ ٱلْ بَأْسِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُ وا۟ وَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْ مُتَّقُونَ
Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.
2:186
وَ إِذَا سَأَلَ كَ عِبَادِ ى عَنِّ ى فَ إِنِّ ى قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ ٱل دَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَ ا نِ فَ لْ يَسْتَجِيبُ وا۟ لِ ى وَ لْ يُؤْمِنُ وا۟ بِ ى لَعَلَّ هُمْ يَرْشُدُ ونَ
And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.
2:189
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱلْ أَهِلَّةِ قُلْ هِىَ مَوَٰقِيتُ لِ ل نَّاسِ وَ ٱلْ حَجِّ وَ لَيْسَ ٱلْ بِرُّ بِ أَن تَأْتُ وا۟ ٱلْ بُيُوتَ مِن ظُهُورِ هَا وَ لَٰكِنَّ ٱلْ بِرَّ مَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰ وَ أْتُ وا۟ ٱلْ بُيُوتَ مِنْ أَبْوَٰبِ هَا وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تُفْلِحُ ونَ
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the new moons. Say, "They are measurements of time for the people and for Hajj." And it is not righteousness to enter houses from the back, but righteousness is [in] one who fears Allah. And enter houses from their doors. And fear Allah that you may succeed.
2:211
سَلْ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ كَمْ ءَاتَيْ نَٰ هُم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍۭ بَيِّنَةٍ وَ مَن يُبَدِّلْ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْ هُ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْ عِقَابِ
Ask the Children of Israel how many a sign of evidence We have given them. And whoever exchanges the favor of Allah [for disbelief] after it has come to him - then indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
2:215
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُ ونَ قُلْ مَآ أَنفَقْ تُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ فَ لِ لْ وَٰلِدَيْنِ وَ ٱلْ أَقْرَبِينَ وَ ٱلْ يَتَٰمَىٰ وَ ٱلْ مَسَٰكِينِ وَ ٱبْنِ ٱل سَّبِيلِ وَ مَا تَفْعَلُ وا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِ هِۦ عَلِيمٌ
They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it."
2:217
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱل شَّهْرِ ٱلْ حَرَامِ قِتَالٍ فِي هِ قُلْ قِتَالٌ فِي هِ كَبِيرٌ وَ صَدٌّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَ كُفْرٌۢ بِ هِۦ وَ ٱلْ مَسْجِدِ ٱلْ حَرَامِ وَ إِخْرَاجُ أَهْلِ هِۦ مِنْ هُ أَكْبَرُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَ ٱلْ فِتْنَةُ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ ٱلْ قَتْلِ وَ لَا يَزَالُ ونَ يُقَٰتِلُ ونَ كُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَرُدُّ و كُمْ عَن دِينِ كُمْ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَٰعُ وا۟ وَ مَن يَرْتَدِدْ مِن كُمْ عَن دِينِ هِۦ فَ يَمُتْ وَ هُوَ كَافِرٌ فَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُ هُمْ فِى ٱل دُّنْيَا وَ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةِ وَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱل نَّارِ هُمْ فِي هَا خَٰلِدُونَ
They ask you about the sacred month - about fighting therein. Say, "Fighting therein is great [sin], but averting [people] from the way of Allah and disbelief in Him and [preventing access to] al-Masjid al-Haram and the expulsion of its people therefrom are greater [evil] in the sight of Allah. And fitnah is greater than killing." And they will continue to fight you until they turn you back from your religion if they are able. And whoever of you reverts from his religion [to disbelief] and dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide therein eternally.
2:219
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱلْ خَمْرِ وَ ٱلْ مَيْسِرِ قُلْ فِي هِمَآ إِثْمٌ كَبِيرٌ وَ مَنَٰفِعُ لِ ل نَّاسِ وَ إِثْمُ هُمَآ أَكْبَرُ مِن نَّفْعِ هِمَا وَ يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُ ونَ قُلِ ٱلْ عَفْوَ كَ ذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَ كُمُ ٱلْ ءَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّ كُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُ ونَ
They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, "In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]." Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought.
2:220
فِى ٱل دُّنْيَا وَ ٱلْ ءَاخِرَةِ وَ يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱلْ يَتَٰمَىٰ قُلْ إِصْلَاحٌ لَّ هُمْ خَيْرٌ وَ إِن تُخَالِطُ و هُمْ فَ إِخْوَٰنُ كُمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْ مُفْسِدَ مِنَ ٱلْ مُصْلِحِ وَ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَ أَعْنَتَ كُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
To this world and the Hereafter. And they ask you about orphans. Say, "Improvement for them is best. And if you mix your affairs with theirs - they are your brothers. And Allah knows the corrupter from the amender. And if Allah had willed, He could have put you in difficulty. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
2:222
وَ يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱلْ مَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَ ٱعْتَزِلُ وا۟ ٱل نِّسَآءَ فِى ٱلْ مَحِيضِ وَ لَا تَقْرَبُ و هُنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَطْهُرْ نَ فَ إِذَا تَطَهَّرْ نَ فَ أْتُ و هُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَ كُمُ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱل تَّوَّٰبِينَ وَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْ مُتَطَهِّرِينَ
And they ask you about menstruation. Say, "It is harm, so keep away from wives during menstruation. And do not approach them until they are pure. And when they have purified themselves, then come to them from where Allah has ordained for you. Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves."
2:273
لِ لْ فُقَرَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أُحْصِرُ وا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ ونَ ضَرْبًا فِى ٱلْ أَرْضِ يَحْسَبُ هُمُ ٱلْ جَاهِلُ أَغْنِيَآءَ مِنَ ٱل تَّعَفُّفِ تَعْرِفُ هُم بِ سِيمَٰ هُمْ لَا يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ ٱل نَّاسَ إِلْحَافًا وَ مَا تُنفِقُ وا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِ هِۦ عَلِيمٌ
[Charity is] for the poor who have been restricted for the cause of Allah, unable to move about in the land. An ignorant [person] would think them self-sufficient because of their restraint, but you will know them by their [characteristic] sign. They do not ask people persistently [or at all]. And whatever you spend of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.
2:61
وَ إِذْ قُلْ تُمْ يَٰ مُوسَىٰ لَن نَّصْبِرَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامٍ وَٰحِدٍ فَ ٱدْعُ لَ نَا رَبَّ كَ يُخْرِجْ لَ نَا مِ مَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْ أَرْضُ مِنۢ بَقْلِ هَا وَ قِثَّآئِ هَا وَ فُومِ هَا وَ عَدَسِ هَا وَ بَصَلِ هَا قَالَ أَ تَسْتَبْدِلُ ونَ ٱلَّذِى هُوَ أَدْنَىٰ بِ ٱلَّذِى هُوَ خَيْرٌ ٱهْبِطُ وا۟ مِصْرًا فَ إِنَّ لَ كُم مَّا سَأَلْ تُمْ وَ ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْ هِمُ ٱل ذِّلَّةُ وَ ٱلْ مَسْكَنَةُ وَ بَآءُ و بِ غَضَبٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ذَٰلِكَ بِ أَنَّ هُمْ كَانُ وا۟ يَكْفُرُ ونَ بِ ـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَ يَقْتُلُ ونَ ٱل نَّبِيِّۦنَ بِ غَيْرِ ٱلْ حَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ بِ مَا عَصَ وا۟ وَّ كَانُ وا۟ يَعْتَدُ ونَ
And [recall] when you said, "O Moses, we can never endure one [kind of] food. So call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from the earth its green herbs and its cucumbers and its garlic and its lentils and its onions." [Moses] said, "Would you exchange what is better for what is less? Go into [any] settlement and indeed, you will have what you have asked." And they were covered with humiliation and poverty and returned with anger from Allah [upon them]. That was because they [repeatedly] disbelieved in the signs of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That was because they disobeyed and were [habitually] transgressing.
31:25
وَ لَ ئِن سَأَلْ تَ هُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضَ لَ يَقُولُ نَّ ٱللَّهُ قُلِ ٱلْ حَمْدُ لِ لَّهِ بَلْ أَكْثَرُ هُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُ ونَ
And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth?" they would surely say, "Allah." Say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah "; but most of them do not know.
33:14
وَ لَوْ دُخِلَتْ عَلَيْ هِم مِّنْ أَقْطَارِ هَا ثُمَّ سُئِلُ وا۟ ٱلْ فِتْنَةَ لَ ءَاتَ وْ هَا وَ مَا تَلَبَّثُ وا۟ بِ هَآ إِلَّا يَسِيرًا
And if they had been entered upon from all its [surrounding] regions and fitnah had been demanded of them, they would have done it and not hesitated over it except briefly.
33:15
وَ لَ قَدْ كَانُ وا۟ عَٰهَدُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ مِن قَبْلُ لَا يُوَلُّ ونَ ٱلْ أَدْبَٰرَ وَ كَانَ عَهْدُ ٱللَّهِ مَسْـُٔولًا
And they had already promised Allah before not to turn their backs and flee. And ever is the promise to Allah [that about which one will be] questioned.
33:20
يَحْسَبُ ونَ ٱلْ أَحْزَابَ لَمْ يَذْهَبُ وا۟ وَ إِن يَأْتِ ٱلْ أَحْزَابُ يَوَدُّ وا۟ لَوْ أَنَّ هُم بَادُونَ فِى ٱلْ أَعْرَابِ يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ عَنْ أَنۢبَآئِ كُمْ وَ لَوْ كَانُ وا۟ فِي كُم مَّا قَٰتَلُ وٓا۟ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
They think the companies have not [yet] withdrawn. And if the companies should come [again], they would wish they were in the desert among the bedouins, inquiring [from afar] about your news. And if they should be among you, they would not fight except for a little.
33:53
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَدْخُلُ وا۟ بُيُوتَ ٱل نَّبِىِّ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْذَنَ لَ كُمْ إِلَىٰ طَعَامٍ غَيْرَ نَٰظِرِينَ إِنَىٰ هُ وَ لَٰكِنْ إِذَا دُعِي تُمْ فَ ٱدْخُلُ وا۟ فَ إِذَا طَعِمْ تُمْ فَ ٱنتَشِرُ وا۟ وَ لَا مُسْتَـْٔنِسِينَ لِ حَدِيثٍ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمْ كَانَ يُؤْذِى ٱل نَّبِىَّ فَ يَسْتَحْىِۦ مِن كُمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ لَا يَسْتَحْىِۦ مِنَ ٱلْ حَقِّ وَ إِذَا سَأَلْ تُمُو هُنَّ مَتَٰعًا فَ سْـَٔلُ و هُنَّ مِن وَرَآءِ حِجَابٍ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَطْهَرُ لِ قُلُوبِ كُمْ وَ قُلُوبِ هِنَّ وَ مَا كَانَ لَ كُمْ أَن تُؤْذُ وا۟ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَ لَآ أَن تَنكِحُ وٓا۟ أَزْوَٰجَ هُۥ مِنۢ بَعْدِ هِۦٓ أَبَدًا إِنَّ ذَٰلِكُمْ كَانَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَظِيمًا
O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness. But when you are invited, then enter; and when you have eaten, disperse without seeking to remain for conversation. Indeed, that [behavior] was troubling the Prophet, and he is shy of [dismissing] you. But Allah is not shy of the truth. And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts. And it is not [conceivable or lawful] for you to harm the Messenger of Allah or to marry his wives after him, ever. Indeed, that would be in the sight of Allah an enormity.
33:63
يَسْـَٔلُ كَ ٱل نَّاسُ عَنِ ٱل سَّاعَةِ قُلْ إِنَّ مَا عِلْمُ هَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَ مَا يُدْرِي كَ لَعَلَّ ٱل سَّاعَةَ تَكُونُ قَرِيبًا
People ask you concerning the Hour. Say," Knowledge of it is only with Allah. And what may make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near."
33:8
لِّ يَسْـَٔلَ ٱل صَّٰدِقِينَ عَن صِدْقِ هِمْ وَ أَعَدَّ لِ لْ كَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
That He may question the truthful about their truth. And He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful punishment.
34:25
قُل لَّا تُسْـَٔلُ ونَ عَ مَّآ أَجْرَمْ نَا وَ لَا نُسْـَٔلُ عَ مَّا تَعْمَلُ ونَ
Say, "You will not be asked about what we committed, and we will not be asked about what you do."
34:47
قُلْ مَا سَأَلْ تُ كُم مِّنْ أَجْرٍ فَ هُوَ لَ كُمْ إِنْ أَجْرِ ىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَ هُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
Say, "Whatever payment I might have asked of you - it is yours. My payment is only from Allah, and He is, over all things, Witness."
36:21
ٱتَّبِعُ وا۟ مَن لَّا يَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ أَجْرًا وَ هُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
Follow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they are [rightly] guided.
37:24
وَ قِفُ و هُمْ إِنَّ هُم مَّسْـُٔولُونَ
And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned."
38:86
قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَ مَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْ مُتَكَلِّفِينَ
Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious
39:38
وَ لَ ئِن سَأَلْ تَ هُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضَ لَ يَقُولُ نَّ ٱللَّهُ قُلْ أَ فَ رَءَيْ تُم مَّا تَدْعُ ونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَ نِىَ ٱللَّهُ بِ ضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَٰشِفَٰتُ ضُرِّ هِۦٓ أَوْ أَرَادَ نِى بِ رَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَٰتُ رَحْمَتِ هِۦ قُلْ حَسْبِ ىَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْ هِ يَتَوَكَّلُ ٱلْ مُتَوَكِّلُونَ
And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "Allah." Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allah? If Allah intended me harm, are they removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is Allah; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers."
41:10
وَ جَعَلَ فِي هَا رَوَٰسِىَ مِن فَوْقِ هَا وَ بَٰرَكَ فِي هَا وَ قَدَّرَ فِي هَآ أَقْوَٰتَ هَا فِىٓ أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ سَوَآءً لِّ ل سَّآئِلِينَ
And He placed on the earth firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures'] sustenance in four days without distinction - for [the information] of those who ask.
42:23
ذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يُبَشِّرُ ٱللَّهُ عِبَادَ هُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ وَ عَمِلُ وا۟ ٱل صَّٰلِحَٰتِ قُل لَّآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا ٱلْ مَوَدَّةَ فِى ٱلْ قُرْبَىٰ وَ مَن يَقْتَرِفْ حَسَنَةً نَّزِدْ لَ هُۥ فِي هَا حُسْنًا إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ
It is that of which Allah gives good tidings to His servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for this message any payment [but] only good will through kinship." And whoever commits a good deed - We will increase for him good therein. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Appreciative.
43:19
وَ جَعَلُ وا۟ ٱلْ مَلَٰٓئِكَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَٰدُ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنِ إِنَٰثًا أَ شَهِدُ وا۟ خَلْقَ هُمْ سَ تُكْتَبُ شَهَٰدَتُ هُمْ وَ يُسْـَٔلُ ونَ
And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.
43:44
وَ إِنَّ هُۥ لَ ذِكْرٌ لَّ كَ وَ لِ قَوْمِ كَ وَ سَوْفَ تُسْـَٔلُ ونَ
And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your people, and you [all] are going to be questioned.
43:45
وَ سْـَٔلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْ نَا مِن قَبْلِ كَ مِن رُّسُلِ نَآ أَ جَعَلْ نَا مِن دُونِ ٱل رَّحْمَٰنِ ءَالِهَةً يُعْبَدُ ونَ
And ask those We sent before you of Our messengers; have We made besides the Most Merciful deities to be worshipped?
43:87
وَ لَ ئِن سَأَلْ تَ هُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ هُمْ لَ يَقُولُ نَّ ٱللَّهُ فَ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُ ونَ
And if you asked them who created them, they would surely say, "Allah." So how are they deluded?
43:9
وَ لَ ئِن سَأَلْ تَ هُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضَ لَ يَقُولُ نَّ خَلَقَ هُنَّ ٱلْ عَزِيزُ ٱلْ عَلِيمُ
And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing."
47:36
إِنَّ مَا ٱلْ حَيَوٰةُ ٱل دُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَ لَهْوٌ وَ إِن تُؤْمِنُ وا۟ وَ تَتَّقُ وا۟ يُؤْتِ كُمْ أُجُورَ كُمْ وَ لَا يَسْـَٔلْ كُمْ أَمْوَٰلَ كُمْ
[This] worldly life is only amusement and diversion. And if you believe and fear Allah, He will give you your rewards and not ask you for your properties.
47:37
إِن يَسْـَٔلْ كُمُو هَا فَ يُحْفِ كُمْ تَبْخَلُ وا۟ وَ يُخْرِجْ أَضْغَٰنَ كُمْ
If He should ask you for them and press you, you would withhold, and He would expose your unwillingness.
4:153
يَسْـَٔلُ كَ أَهْلُ ٱلْ كِتَٰبِ أَن تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْ هِمْ كِتَٰبًا مِّنَ ٱل سَّمَآءِ فَ قَدْ سَأَلُ وا۟ مُوسَىٰٓ أَكْبَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَ قَالُ وٓا۟ أَرِ نَا ٱللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَ أَخَذَتْ هُمُ ٱل صَّٰعِقَةُ بِ ظُلْمِ هِمْ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذُ وا۟ ٱلْ عِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْ هُمُ ٱلْ بَيِّنَٰتُ فَ عَفَوْ نَا عَن ذَٰلِكَ وَ ءَاتَيْ نَا مُوسَىٰ سُلْطَٰنًا مُّبِينًا
The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, "Show us Allah outright," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidences had come to them, and We pardoned that. And We gave Moses a clear authority.
4:32
وَ لَا تَتَمَنَّ وْا۟ مَا فَضَّلَ ٱللَّهُ بِ هِۦ بَعْضَ كُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ لِّ ل رِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِّ مَّا ٱكْتَسَبُ وا۟ وَ لِ ل نِّسَآءِ نَصِيبٌ مِّ مَّا ٱكْتَسَبْ نَ وَ سْـَٔلُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ مِن فَضْلِ هِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمًا
And do not wish for that by which Allah has made some of you exceed others. For men is a share of what they have earned, and for women is a share of what they have earned. And ask Allah of his bounty. Indeed Allah is ever, of all things, Knowing.
51:12
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱل دِّينِ
They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"
51:19
وَ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِ هِمْ حَقٌّ لِّ ل سَّآئِلِ وَ ٱلْ مَحْرُومِ
And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.
52:40
أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُ هُمْ أَجْرًا فَ هُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ
Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?
55:29
يَسْـَٔلُ هُۥ مَن فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ
Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter.
55:39
فَ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِ هِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَ لَا جَآنٌّ
Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.
5:101
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وا۟ لَا تَسْـَٔلُ وا۟ عَنْ أَشْيَآءَ إِن تُبْدَ لَ كُمْ تَسُؤْ كُمْ وَ إِن تَسْـَٔلُ وا۟ عَنْ هَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ ٱلْ قُرْءَانُ تُبْدَ لَ كُمْ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنْ هَا وَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ
O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you. But if you ask about them while the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be shown to you. Allah has pardoned that which is past; and Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.
5:102
قَدْ سَأَلَ هَا قَوْمٌ مِّن قَبْلِ كُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُ وا۟ بِ هَا كَٰفِرِينَ
A people asked such [questions] before you; then they became thereby disbelievers.
5:4
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ مَاذَآ أُحِلَّ لَ هُمْ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَ كُمُ ٱل طَّيِّبَٰتُ وَ مَا عَلَّمْ تُم مِّنَ ٱلْ جَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُ ونَ هُنَّ مِ مَّا عَلَّمَ كُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَ كُلُ وا۟ مِ مَّآ أَمْسَكْ نَ عَلَيْ كُمْ وَ ٱذْكُرُ وا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْ هِ وَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْ حِسَابِ
They ask you, [O Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are [all] good foods and [game caught by] what you have trained of hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah." Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
60:10
يَٰٓ أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُ وٓا۟ إِذَا جَآءَ كُمُ ٱلْ مُؤْمِنَٰتُ مُهَٰجِرَٰتٍ فَ ٱمْتَحِنُ و هُنَّ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِ إِيمَٰنِ هِنَّ فَ إِنْ عَلِمْ تُمُو هُنَّ مُؤْمِنَٰتٍ فَ لَا تَرْجِعُ و هُنَّ إِلَى ٱلْ كُفَّارِ لَا هُنَّ حِلٌّ لَّ هُمْ وَ لَا هُمْ يَحِلُّ ونَ لَ هُنَّ وَ ءَاتُ و هُم مَّآ أَنفَقُ وا۟ وَ لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْ كُمْ أَن تَنكِحُ و هُنَّ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْ تُمُو هُنَّ أُجُورَ هُنَّ وَ لَا تُمْسِكُ وا۟ بِ عِصَمِ ٱلْ كَوَافِرِ وَ سْـَٔلُ وا۟ مَآ أَنفَقْ تُمْ وَ لْ يَسْـَٔلُ وا۟ مَآ أَنفَقُ وا۟ ذَٰلِكُمْ حُكْمُ ٱللَّهِ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ كُمْ وَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
O you who have believed, when the believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them. Allah is most knowing as to their faith. And if you know them to be believers, then do not return them to the disbelievers; they are not lawful [wives] for them, nor are they lawful [husbands] for them. But give the disbelievers what they have spent. And there is no blame upon you if you marry them when you have given them their due compensation. And hold not to marriage bonds with disbelieving women, but ask for what you have spent and let them ask for what they have spent. That is the judgement of Allah; He judges between you. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
67:8
تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ ٱلْ غَيْظِ كُلَّمَآ أُلْقِىَ فِي هَا فَوْجٌ سَأَلَ هُمْ خَزَنَتُ هَآ أَ لَمْ يَأْتِ كُمْ نَذِيرٌ
It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?"
68:40
سَلْ هُمْ أَيُّ هُم بِ ذَٰلِكَ زَعِيمٌ
Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible.
68:46
أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُ هُمْ أَجْرًا فَ هُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ
Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?
6:90
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَدَى ٱللَّهُ فَ بِ هُدَىٰ هُمُ ٱقْتَدِهْ قُل لَّآ أَسْـَٔلُ كُمْ عَلَيْ هِ أَجْرًا إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِ لْ عَٰلَمِينَ
Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so from their guidance take an example. Say, "I ask of you for this message no payment. It is not but a reminder for the worlds."
70:1
سَأَلَ سَآئِلٌۢ بِ عَذَابٍ وَاقِعٍ
A supplicant asked for a punishment bound to happen
70:10
وَ لَا يَسْـَٔلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمًا
And no friend will ask [anything of] a friend,
70:25
لِّ ل سَّآئِلِ وَ ٱلْ مَحْرُومِ
For the petitioner and the deprived -
75:6
يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْ قِيَٰمَةِ
He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
79:42
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱل سَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰ هَا
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?
7:163
وَ سْـَٔلْ هُمْ عَنِ ٱلْ قَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِى كَانَتْ حَاضِرَةَ ٱلْ بَحْرِ إِذْ يَعْدُ ونَ فِى ٱل سَّبْتِ إِذْ تَأْتِي هِمْ حِيتَانُ هُمْ يَوْمَ سَبْتِ هِمْ شُرَّعًا وَ يَوْمَ لَا يَسْبِتُ ونَ لَا تَأْتِي هِمْ كَ ذَٰلِكَ نَبْلُو هُم بِ مَا كَانُ وا۟ يَفْسُقُ ونَ
And ask them about the town that was by the sea - when they transgressed in [the matter of] the sabbath - when their fish came to them openly on their sabbath day, and the day they had no sabbath they did not come to them. Thus did We give them trial because they were defiantly disobedient.
7:187
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱل سَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰ هَا قُلْ إِنَّ مَا عِلْمُ هَا عِندَ رَبِّ ى لَا يُجَلِّي هَا لِ وَقْتِ هَآ إِلَّا هُوَ ثَقُلَتْ فِى ٱل سَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَ ٱلْ أَرْضِ لَا تَأْتِي كُمْ إِلَّا بَغْتَةً يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ كَأَنَّ كَ حَفِىٌّ عَنْ هَا قُلْ إِنَّ مَا عِلْمُ هَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَ لَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱل نَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُ ونَ
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most of the people do not know."
7:6
فَ لَ نَسْـَٔلَ نَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْ هِمْ وَ لَ نَسْـَٔلَ نَّ ٱلْ مُرْسَلِينَ
Then We will surely question those to whom [a message] was sent, and We will surely question the messengers.
81:8
وَ إِذَا ٱلْ مَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ
And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked
8:1
يَسْـَٔلُ ونَ كَ عَنِ ٱلْ أَنفَالِ قُلِ ٱلْ أَنفَالُ لِ لَّهِ وَ ٱل رَّسُولِ فَ ٱتَّقُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ أَصْلِحُ وا۟ ذَاتَ بَيْنِ كُمْ وَ أَطِيعُ وا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَ رَسُولَ هُۥٓ إِن كُن تُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the bounties [of war]. Say, "The [decision concerning] bounties is for Allah and the Messenger." So fear Allah and amend that which is between you and obey Allah and His Messenger, if you should be believers.
93:10
وَ أَمَّا ٱل سَّآئِلَ فَ لَا تَنْهَرْ
And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].
9:65
وَ لَ ئِن سَأَلْ تَ هُمْ لَ يَقُولُ نَّ إِنَّ مَا كُ نَّا نَخُوضُ وَ نَلْعَبُ قُلْ أَ بِ ٱللَّهِ وَ ءَايَٰتِ هِۦ وَ رَسُولِ هِۦ كُن تُمْ تَسْتَهْزِءُ ونَ
And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?"
